Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+ And S21 Ultra With 120Hz Display Launched

Samsung launched three new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 ultra, during its recent Galaxy unpacked online event. All three smartphones feature a 120hz display and the latest Exynos 2100 Series-on-Chip from Samsung.

The starting price of Samsung Galaxy S21, 21+ and S21 Ultra is Rs. 69,000, Rs. 81,999 and Rs. 1,05,999 respectively. Alongside these smartphones, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Buds Pro TWS earphones and Galaxy Smart tag.

Furthermore, the entire Galaxy S21 series will come without a charger and earphones.

The Samsung S21 features a “contoured-cut” design at the rear, which also houses a triple camera setup. The S21 comes in a brand new colour called “Phantom Violet.”

The new camera setup for Galaxy S21 is capable of 8k photography, super-steady video functionality, director’s view and single take. The S21 also comes equipped with a built-in mic, which makes it possible to record ambient sound and your voice simultaneously when paired with Galaxy buds pro.

The Samsung S21 features a 6.2 inch 120hz AMOLED display with 1080 X 2400 pixels resolution, Exynos 2100 CPU (Snapdragon 888 for the US model), 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh and comes with Android 11 out of the box.

The starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S21 is Rs. 69,999 for 8 GB/128 GB variant and Rs. 73,999 for 8 GB/256 GB version.

Galaxy S21 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ is similar in size to the Samsung S21 and also features a triple camera setup at the rear inside the identical “contoured-cut” design.

Due to the identical camera setup on the S21+, it also has all the same features as seen on the camera in the Galaxy S21.

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ comes with a bigger 6.7-inch Infinity-O AMOLED display featuring a 120 Hz dynamic refresh rate. This screen also has the same 1080p resolution display as the one on Samsung S21+. In terms of CPU,  it comes with the Exynos 2100 SoC (Snapdragon 888 in the US).

The S21+ comes with 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM along with 128 GB of internal storage, and a 4800 mAh battery. The S21+ features a 12 MP main sensor at the rear and a 10 MP front-facing camera. Just like the S21, the S21+ also comes with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

The Samsung Galaxy S21+ has a starting price of Rs. 81,999 for the 8 GB/128 GB version and Rs. 85,999 for the 8 GB/ 256 GB version.

Galaxy S21

The ultimate flagship phone from Samsung, the S21 Ultra, is the biggest of the three phones in terms of size and features. Unlike the S21 and the S21+, the S21 Ultra features a quad camera setup, featuring a 108 MP main sensor, a 12 MP dual-pixel sensor, and two 10 MP telephoto lenses, each supporting Optical Image Stabilisation or OIS.

The S21 Ultra also comes in three new colours namely, Phantom Titan, Phanton Navy and Phantom Brown.

One of the 10 MP lenses with f/2.4 telephoto lens supports up to 3X optical zoom, while the other one with the f/4/9 telephoto lens features up to 10X optical zoom. The camera setup also has 100X space zoom functionality along with laser autofocus for clear images. The selfie camera uses a 40 MP lens for enhanced results.

Galaxy S21 Ultra

The S21 Ultra features a 6.8 inch Infinity-O AMOLED display with a 1440 X 3200 resolution, 12 GB RAM, and 128 GB of storage, along with a 5,000 mAh battery. The device also comes with Android 11 straight from the box. Just like the other two devices, the S21 Ultra is also powered by an Exynos 2100 SoC. Lastly, the S21 Ultra also features S-Pen support, which is quite nice.

The starting price of the Samsung S21 Ultra is Rs. 1,05,999 for the 12 GB / 256 GB version and Rs. 1,16,999 for the 16 GB / 256 GB variant.

Furthermore, the entire Galaxy series has an IP68 rating for dust and water-resistant. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S21 Ultra starts from 15 January 2021. Customers with pre-orders will start receiving the smartphones starting 25 January, meanwhile, orders for the general public will begin from 29 Jan 2021.
