Vu Televisions is on a winning spree, with their Chairman and CEO, Miss Devita Saraf winning the tech leader of the year 2020 at Exhibit Tech Awards 2020. Post the launch of their D2C brand store – vustore.com, Vu Televisions was also recognised under the category 4K TV of the Year at the 8 th edition of Exhibit Tech Awards 2021, held at Sofitel, BKC, Mumbai on the 16 th December 2021 and won this award. This was a commendable win for Vu, considering it won against nominations like Realme Smart TV 4K 50″, LG C1 Series, Samsung Crystal 4K UHD and Mi TV 5X 55″. Exhibit Tech Awards also had this category for the first time, and winning under a new category was noteworthy.

Devita Saraf, Chairman and CEO, Vu Televisions, said, “Ever since we started the company, Vu has been a youth favourite! However, during the lockdown, I received hundreds of messages on social media from young people across the country asking to make our products more affordable and accessible. Today’s Gen-Z and Millennial buyers are the most informed, intelligent and connected generation in history. We’ve taken their requests seriously and launched a platform that addresses their needs without compromising the luxury brand experience Vu is famous for. Our hardworking youth deserves the best brand, product and service, and we at Vu take this as our motivation to launch our D2C platform www.vustore.com and build it into an Rs.500 Cr business in 2022.”

Followed by this achievement, Vu announces the addition of their 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch Vu Cinema TV Action Series to their list of products on sale at Vustore.com. A public and jury favourite coming on the brand store is excellent news for potential buyers for the Vu Cinema TV Action Series. What is so special about Vu Cinema TV Action Series? For starters, it comes equipped with a 100W JBL soundbar with six speakers and DTS Virtual X Surround Sound processing. JBL speakers with four master speakers and two tweeters. One of the brightest 4K HDR 10, Dolby vision capable 500Nits crisp Pixelium glass display on a bezel-less frame. Pixelium glass with 40% enhanced brightness than most other televisions in its category.

Vu Cinema TV Action Series also stands true to its name with Gaming Zone – MEMC technology. A technology that ensures fast action games and video sequences are displayed at a smooth motion rate whilst maintaining high picture quality. Believe it or not, this TV suits the made for India approach thanks to a dedicated Cricket Mode, making you the perfect third umpire of any cricket match. Built-in Google Chromecast and Android TV UI run flawlessly on the quad-core processor and ample storage. Dual-channel WiFi connectivity with Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI CEC and ARC, connecting a host of wireless and wired I/O to the television. Connecting gaming consoles, streaming devices and media units are aided with 3 x HDMI ports and 2 x USB Type-A ports. Vu Cinema TV Action Series is a perfect do-it-all television range for an entire family. Considering that the Vu D2C approach has already started to expand its portfolio in its first month of inception looks compelling for the brand and customers.

Devita: When we make new products, we don’t just look at the hardware or the competition. We look at the consumers and see how we can make their lifestyle better. We realized there is a huge demand for a new category that we call “work style.” So we began work a year ago, focussed on making televisions and screens a major part of productivity. After the lockdown happened, it was evident that people had to run their businesses without going anywhere. So we researched some more, came up with our own proprietary hardware, and launched a new company called “Meeting by VU.” That’s how we landed in this segment.
