Ducati Scrambler launched in India. Avengers! Scramble!

Luxury motorcycle brand, Ducati today announced the launch of the all-new Scrambler 1100 Pro and the 1100 Sport Pro for the Indian market. Created for those who love to ride motorcycles even outside the city, perhaps also with a passenger, these new models are a further evolution of the bike that identifies with the Ducati Scrambler “Land of Joy”.

With a complete range of accessories available, the bike comes in two distinct versions – 1100 Pro and 1100 Sport Pro. Both are the ideal choice for those who want to ride a motorcycle with generous torque available right from the bottom of the rev-range. The Scrambler 1100 Pro also features a 15-litre steel tank that, combined with an all-new comfortable seat, ensures that even the longest rides are enjoyed in comfort.

The 1100cc L-twin two-valve engine inside the motorcycle 86 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 88.4 Nm of peak torque at 4,750 rpm. It is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a servo-assisted slipper function that limits rear-wheel destabilization during down-shifts. Designed to be simple and accessible, this twin-cylinder engine features competitive 12,000 km maintenance intervals.

Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “Scrambler is one of the most characterful, free-spirited, and powerful entry-level Ducati in our portfolio. The new Scrambler 1100 Pro range takes those qualities a notch higher allowing riders to explore endless possibilities on their rides. It’s a mix of style, comfort, and performance that makes Scrambler 1100 Pro versatile and adaptive to everyone’s individual and demanding riding style. The meticulously thought Scrambler 1100 Pro and Sport Pro are designed to provide complete Scrambler experience as soon as you swing a leg over it. Both experienced and new riders will be able to extract the maximum out of this motorcycle considering its friendly nature and we expect them to have a lot of fun!”

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro stands out for its new two-tone “Ocean Drive” colour scheme, combined with a steel trellis frame and a rear aluminum subframe, which are both black. A new right-side dual tailpipe and low-slung number plate holder ensure distinctive rear-end styling and, together with the new livery, give the bike a coiled, compact look. Another hallmark is the framed headlight; inspired by the protective adhesive tape used back in the ‘70s, a black metal ‘X’ has been incorporated inside the headlight: a detail that makes the bike instantly identifiable, even with the lights off. The 1100 Sport Pro also features a Matt Black paint scheme, complemented by side panels sporting a painted 1100 logo.

At the rear, a full-LED taillight assembly emits a soft light, making use of technology unique within the motorcycling world. LED indicators positioned alongside the headlight assembly and the rear mudguard, complete the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro-style to perfection.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 PRO twins are also at the forefront of electronics. They are equipped with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), regulated specifically for these models, and Cornering ABS, which ensures safety on every bend. The three standard riding modes (Active, Journey, and City) help even less experienced riders to find the right balance in the use of electronic components by choosing their riding style. Also, both the models mount a Pirelli MT60 RS 120/80 ZR 18 tyre at the front and the 180/55 ZR17 tyre at the rear, which have been specially developed for the Scrambler.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro instrument panel has two elements. Like the other bikes in the range, the main one has a round design. Positioned above and to the right of the headlight, this unit is fully digital. It features new multi-function switchgear that lets riders select Riding Modes and modify them. A Ride by Wire throttle is accompanied by hydraulically operated brake pumps and clutch, making the controls modern yet faithful to the classic Scrambler style.

In perfect Scrambler style, the 1100 Pro comes with the new two-tone “Ocean Drive” livery and 1100 Sport Pro in its sporty attitude comes in a “Matt Black” paint scheme. The all-new Scrambler 1100 Pro and the 1100 Sport Pro, priced at ₹ 11.95 lacs and ₹ 13.74 lacs respectively (Ex-Showroom Pan India). Bookings are now open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata & Chennai and deliveries will begin immediately.

Big Boy Toyz Brings India’s first VR Technology Showroom Tour to India!

Well!

BBT has its own way of doing stuff and staying at the top of the game.

They’ve done something innovative this time, which is India’s first virtual reality showroom tour.

All of you pre-owned luxury car enthusiasts will be able to witness the entire showroom experience on your smartphones.

Big Boy Toyz has promised that you will be getting the same exceptional experience found at their store physically. They have recently launched their application for Android and iOS devices, by the name BBT, featuring online bookings, 360-degree view of cars via photos and videos, BBT merchandises, and a secured payment gateway.

“We’re elated to introduce advanced technology in the pre-owned luxury car space. With the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we wish to support our 4.5 million customers from across the world.”

Mr. Jatin Ahuja, MD and Founder at Big Boy Toyz

“Ever since the crisis has restricted our customers from visiting our store offline, they’ve been relying on the technology to get the latest updates, raise a query for prices, and even make purchases, and by bringing the virtual tour to India, we are giving them the very best of Big Boy Toyz when it is most required.” He added.

The BBT mobile application, launched this month, now has more than 10,000 active users and has received a generous amount of feedback from its loyal community of luxury car fanatics. The application is loaded with diverse features such as ‘sell you car in under 29 minutes’ and ‘video calling for contactless sales’. The application is the most convenient destination to shop for second-hand premium cars ranging from Aston Martin to Ferrari to Land Rover, and many more. You can discuss your top choices, receive expert opinion, and can also compare your pick against your feasibility.

“We are followed by more than 4 million users on social media and about 1 Lakh users visit our website on daily basis, while only a fraction of this number has seen or visited our grand showroom in person. We get so many messages where people wish to see our showroom but couldn’t due to the lockdown and social distancing norms. With this striking feature, we can virtually represent each car in our showroom and give them a 360-degree view of what they want to purchase. This helps in speeding the buying decision and customers feel confident”, added Jatin.

As COVID-19 puts an operation limitation on Big Boy Toyz, the 11-year-old pre-owned luxury car brand moves to the online channel to provide remote services with a plethora of features and offers to not miss.

Ex: Tell us about a change you’ve seen in the digital blogging space since you started out your journey? How has this space evolved?

Shehrezade: I started out about 8- 9 years ago when there were very few creators in the country. Now, we’ve grown drastically and there’s content for everyone. Now it’s an actual career option for people which I think is amazing.

Ex: Social media trolling is seeing an upward rise. Do you think this only increases with the popularity of an Influencer? How does one tackle this situation?

Shehrezade: So I think that my approach with trolling is pretty similar. I usually respond to any kind of trolling. I never let it slide. I always tell them that this is not cool, that there’s always a polite way of putting a point forward.

Mayank: Self-improvement. Real, truthful self-improvement. It has always been a major element of a balanced Lifestyle and I think it will only get bigger and better in the future. Because lifestyle is a way in which a person lives. And living for me, has slowly and steadily transpired a lot into being one’s best self, being balanced and being happy. So I feel charting the path of self-improvement and seeking happiness along with balance will become an evident part of the industry.

Ex: Tell us about a change you’ve seen in the digital blogging space since you started out your journey? How has this space evolved?

Gagan: I started in 2011, in comparison to that things have almost totally changed now. The biggest of then is the way content is being consumed.

Ex: Can you give us an insight into social media platforms that only an Influencer can know?

Gagan: Only an influencer knows how many of his/her followers are fake.

Ex: What would be your calling in a parallel universe? (Alternate career options)

Ex: What’s been your favorite encounter with a fan so far? (DMs included!)

Gagan: I was driving in East UP during my Road Safety drive in Jan 2019. A kid with his younger brother and father waiting for me on the highway during the night with a big placard that read “Gagan Bhai Stop Please“. I, fortunately, saw that despite a lot of truck movement on the highway and stopped there. It was very overwhelming.

Ex: What does success mean to you?

Gagan: I don’t know. Maybe it is the state where people want to listen to whatever you are saying or they start following your footsteps. Or maybe it is the fact that you have won the trust of your viewers.

Ex: Do you think Influencer Marketing is a fad? Where do you see this space in years to come?

Gagan: Things keep changing, this current form of Influencer marketing will also change. But the fact that humans get influenced by others will keep this sector alive.

Ex: As the current pandemic has seriously impacted the automotive industry, what does the future hold for automobile bloggers?

Gagan: Not just automobiles but this pandemic has impacted almost everyone. And even to this date, we don’t know if there is any end of this. But the Automotive Industry will bounce back. Maybe the kind of content people like around Automobiles will see a shift but that is again something that we see every 5-6 years. Bloggers just need to adapt to the new situations and deliver their best, things will come on track sooner or later.

Ex: Tell us about a change you’ve seen in the digital blogging space since you started out your journey? How has this space evolved?

Siddhi: I started with Fashion, to then getting extensively in Travel and now I cannot stop obsessing over Interior Styling. So it’s always a space for self-exploration and if used rightly, there is so much one can discover about themselves than just uploading a pretty feed.

Ex: Can you give us an insight into social media platforms that only an Influencer can know?

Siddhi: It’s safe to say that I don’t think the audiences know what goes behind one single post they casually scroll through in seconds.

Ex: What would be your calling in a parallel universe? (Alternate career options)

Siddhi: In a parallel universe, I wanted to be a Diplomat.

Ex: If you were stranded on an island, what are the 3 gadgets you’d take along?

Siddhi: iPod and earphones.

Ex: A technology you wished you’d invented?

Siddhi Karwa: I would say coffee machines.

Ex: What’s been your favorite encounter with a fan so far? (DMs included!)

Siddhi: The cutest one I think was a girl I met at a club who was there with her friends and she couldn’t stop jumping in excitement for about 30 min and kept screaming my name in the entire club, her friends had to calm her down.

Ex: Social media trolling is seeing an upward rise. Do you think this only increases with the popularity of an Influencer? How does one tackle this situation?

Siddhi: It’s a given that criticism only increases with fame, basically more people exposed to your content, more opinions are thrown at you. Trolling is the worst con of being in this field and it’s only increasing because more people have access to social media every day.

Ex: What does success mean to you?

Siddhi: Success for me is Balance between fulfilling your dreams while living a life nothing short of dreams.

Ex: Do you think Influencer Marketing is a fad? Where do you see this space in years to come?

Siddhi: I think everything is a fad, nothing lasts forever and I think that’s just how the universe works.

Ex: How do you choose the brands that you want to work with?

Siddhi: For me, they first have to fit my area of expertise or interest for me to talk about it. There is nothing worse than promoting a product you have been tone-deaf about.

Ex: What according to you will be the next big trend in the Lifestyle blogging industry?

Siddhi: I really can’t keep up with trends anymore, I want to dig into the archives. I think going back to classics could be/should be a trend.

The Vogue Vanity: Recognition & acceptance for blogging as a career and a full-time profession.

Ex: What would be your calling in a parallel universe? (Alternate career options)

The Vogue Vanity: By now, our love for social media space and industry has become eternal & for that, we would love to run our own social media marketing agency.

Ex: If you were stranded on an island, what are the 3 gadgets you’d take along?

The Vogue Vanity: Polaroid camera, Phone & Portable charger.

Ex: A technology you wished you’d invented?

The Vogue Vanity: Coffee machine.

Ex: Social media trolling is seeing an upward rise. Do you think this only increases with the popularity of an Influencer? How does one tackle this situation?

The Vogue Vanity: Yes, it definitely increases with the popularity of an individual, be it an influencer or any artist from any industry. The more you grow, the more mouths will speak. But as we said, always know the difference between whose opinions are to be respected and whose here just to seek attention.

Ex: What does success mean to you?

The Vogue Vanity: Success is very subjective. For us, success is to be able to give our parents the best life that they’ve given to us.

Ex: Do you think Influencer Marketing is a fad? Where do you see this space in years to come?

The Vogue Vanity: No, it definitely isn’t a fad. Though, many people haven’t really understood the real meaning and depth of it, which is somewhere because of the lack of knowledge. But then, we definitely see it as the next big thing in the future as everything in the world and every single brand itself is now going digital.

Ex: How do you choose the brands that you want to work with?

The Vogue Vanity: We always try to understand the brand’s value and worth, and how relatable it is to our personality and the purpose it serves to our audiences as well.

The Vogue Vanity: Sustainable fashion and conscious living.

Shanice Shrestha | Lifestyle | Influncex’20

Ex: Tell us about a change you’ve seen in the digital blogging space since you started out your journey? How has this space evolved?

Shanice: There are so many opportunities now, all the newcomers can just start and have so many brands approach them and have a set audience accepting their genre of work, already set by the others who have been here a long time. It wasn’t always like this when I started so that makes me happy. It’s now an established field to set a career in!

Ex: What would be your calling in a parallel universe? (Alternate career options)

Shanice: I think I would definitely be an interior designer. I just really love to do that. Or an actor.

Ex: If you were stranded on an island, what are the 3 gadgets you’d take along?

Shanice: My camera, my laptop and phone. That has to sort me out. Make memories and build content until you’re back to the areas with a network hahah!

Ex: Social Media is known to expose vulnerabilities, with influencers being at the epicenter. How do you deal with the dark side that comes with the medium?

Shanice: This part was so difficult to get accustomed to initially. If you ever want to be a blogger, vlogger, social media influencer, the first thing you need to understand is that not everyone’s gonna like you and that’s okay. Hate coming from others never reflects who you are! This is something I tell myself. I have learnt to ignore and sometimes I just give back when people cross their boundaries because I think it’s our responsibility as influencers to make social media a safe place.

Ex: What does success mean to you?

Shanice: Well, this meaning has changed so many times upto this stage. To me, now it means to be at a place in life where you want to be, doing something that u love to do and being able to fulfill your dreams through that.

Ex: How do you choose the brands that you want to work with?

Shanice: Strictly on the basis of trial testing and reviews and research on the brand. Remember to be true to your audience! I live by that rule. If some brand is paying you a bomb but you know it’s not something I’m personally ever gonna use or buy with my hard-earned money. I turn it down.

Ex: What according to you will be the next big trend in the Lifestyle blogging industry?

Shanice: Get raw, get personal. Not so much of a trend. But get your audience hooked on to your life and everything around it. It makes you grow and gives you a loyal set of audience. It’s an unseen trend that is yet to be more dominant in the coming years and is going to stay. I promise you!
