The union between Anant Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s son, and Radhika Merchant has garnered a lot of social media buzz. The couple will tie the knot on 12 July 2024 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. It will end with a grand celebration on 14 July. Before that, the couple celebrated their sangeet on 5 July 2024 where Canadian singer Justin Bieber performed. Amongst the other attendees are legendary cricketer and former Indian cricket team captain, MS Dhoni, Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and many more, and iconic couples like Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. Bieber’s performances went viral all over Instagram.

Rumour has it the Ambanis paid Justin Bieber $10 million to perform at the sangeet. While audience at the sangeet were thrilled to watch his performance, the global audience and netizens thought his outfit was disrespectful. Justin Bieber wore a simple vest, low pants showing his boxers slightly, and a cap. Considering how fashionable people get during Indian weddings, netizens found it cheap that he didn’t take the effort to be a bit decked up. Moreover, since rumours of the $10 million already circulated, people were even more agitated by the idea that he didn’t really do much to make the occassion more special.
