The ultimate celebrity seduction – Range Rover Sport SVR

Range Rover Sport SVR

The Performance British SUV gets a new attire.

With the Indian market currently obsessed with SUVs, no carmaker is leaving the stones unturned to attract buyers to their park. Fast performance road monsters are the favourite choice for many celebrities and wealthy folks out there. With the recent outburst of super-fast goliaths like the Audi RS Q8, BMW X5M, the AMG’s from Benz and Porsche’s Cayenne Turbo, JLR isn’t falling back. And to bridge this gap and to make others feel shy, the Range Rover Sport SVR is here to give a good game to the rest of the lot at this price range.

So, how much does this thing cost? A wee more than 2.19 Crore. And for that whopping amount, what do you get? A five-litre supercharged V-8 petrol engine that produces 567bhp of power and 700Nm torque and can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 4.5 seconds. That’s quite a bit for a luxury SUV.

The SVR is the most powerful Range Rover you can opt for. Designed, engineered and developed by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations, the luxury performance SUV is hand-finished in Coventry, UK.

How different is it from the regular Range Rover Sport SVR, you ask?

For starters, the chassis bespoke enhancements, the SVR delivers more dynamic handling without compromising traditional Range Rover comfort or all-terrain capability.

The brilliantly engineered design of the vehicle ensures a controlled pitch under heavy acceleration and braking, and the damping hardware is tuned to provide exceptional turn-in, mid-corner grip and body control.

Styling on the outside of the Range Rover SVR?

The redesigned front bumper design lends the Range Rover Sport SVR an aggressive appearance, with the massive vents designed to improve brake cooling and gulp and squish the air through its turbos. The performance brake pads and discs provide enhanced performance at higher temperatures, ensuring the braking system is more resistant to fade during dynamic driving.

Body-coloured detailing along with blacked-out accents all across the body adorns and gives it a distinctive look you cannot mistake it for anything else. At the rear end, an SVR badge also helps to identify the SVR. A contrasting black roof gives it an even sportier stance.

How’s it like from the inside?

The lightweight SVR Performance seats create an athletic silhouette and provide exceptional comfort on long journeys. Finished in high-quality perforated Windsor leather, the SVR Performance seats reflect the SVR’s status as the ultimate high-performance luxury SUV. Seat backs finished in satin black with an embossed SVR logo on the headrests also deliver heightened exclusivity. The supportive seats also create more rear legroom and the impression of a cosseting four-seat interior while retaining flexible five-seat capability. The dual-tone tan leather coupled with sporty carbon fibre trims, gives it an uber-luxury cum sporty feel.

Continuing the high-performance theme, sound quality comes from a 19-speaker Meridian Surround Sound System, which combines 825 watts, a dual-channel subwoofer and Trifield technology for a thrilling personal sound experience in every seat.

Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said, “ Range Rover SVR redefines & further elevates performance and luxury in an SUV by leveraging the best of bespoke British design and engineering. I am sure that Range Rover Sport SUV enthusiasts and fans will simply love this latest offering combining formidable British engineering craftsmanship with high end and refined luxury. ”

All in all , a complete package to get the celebrity horses running.

Rolls Royce ‘Spirit of Innovation’ Aircraft Breaks Speed Record with 623km/h Top Speed

The British luxury automobile maker Rolls-Royce is best known for making expensive and fancy cars, but now, along with manufacturing automobiles, the company has entered into the aviation world and has developed an aircraft called the ‘Spirit of Innovation’. The aircraft clocked up a maximum top speed of 623km/h (387.4mph) just two months after its maiden flight, which makes it “the world’s fastest all-electric aircraft.”

The company said in a press statement the aircraft set three world records in total, managing 532.1km/h over 15km, climbing to 3,000 metres in 202 seconds, and reaching 555.9 km/h over 3 kilometres, which helped the aircraft smash the existing record by 213.04 km/h. The company has claimed the record and is awaiting confirmation from the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), who control and certify the world aeronautical and astronautical records.

The ‘Spirit of Innovation’ is an old-school “tail-dragger” aircraft with the canopy pushed way back. The company says the aircraft is powered by a 400kW electric powertrain and the most power-dense propulsion battery pack ever constructed in aerospace. The company partnered with aviation energy storage specialist Electroflight and automotive powertrain supplier YASA to build the aircraft.

The aircraft was designed to smash world records and bring zero-emissions air travel one step closer. The test pilot and Rolls-Royce Director of Flight Operations Phill O’Dell achieved a speed of more than 213.04 km/h in the ‘Spirit of Innovation’ and broke the previous record set by the Siemens eAircraft. After breaking the 4-year old record, he said, “this is the highlight of my career and is an incredible achievement for the whole team.”

Rolls Royce’s CEO Warren East said in a statement, “Staking the claim for the all-electric world-speed record is a fantastic achievement for the ACCEL team and Rolls-Royce. Following the world’s focus on the need for action at COP26, this is another milestone that will help make ‘jet zero’ a reality and supports our ambitions to deliver the technology breakthroughs society needs to decarbonize transport across air, land and sea.”

How to Activate Your Airtel & Jio eSIM on iPhones & Android Phones?

Bharti Airtel and Jio are two of the largest and most preferable telecom operators in India. When Reliance launched Jio and endeavoured various competitive prepaid and postpaid plans, Airtel was the only telecom operator who stayed put and fought hard. The two rivals not only offers their users physical SIM cards but also offer eSIM functionality for supported devices. The two telecom stalwarts also grant an option to convert your physical SIM to eSIM for devices that support it.

What is eSIM?

eSIM or embedded Subscriber Identity Module is installed directly into your smartphone or any device and can connect you to any operator offering eSIM services. The eSIM option allows smartphone makers to save space in a device and add more features instead. The Samsung Gear S2 Classic 3G smartwatch was the first device to implement an eSIM. Currently, only Apple, Samsung, Google, and Motorola offer phones that support eSIM functionality in India.

Step-by-step guide for Airtel SIM holders:

Let’s take a look at the step-by-step guide on how to activate your Airtel eSIM, but before you go ahead, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi throughout the activation process.

Meet the all-new and all-curvy Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Meet the all-new and curvy Maruti Suzuki Celerio

Reviewed by – Pratik Ghone

Maruti Suzuki sales are banking on products that cater to mass-market audiences, at least in India. With the sales plateau and the world slow-down (read as lockdown), it is time for something new. Maruti has been studying the demographics in India and, adhering to the mindset of young professionals, launched the all-new Maruti Suzuki Celerio.

The new Celerio is available in six different colours – Speedy Blue, Arctic White, Solid Fire Red, Glistening Grey, Silky Silver, Caffeine Brown with a young audience in mind. The design is a complete overhaul compared to the ageing Celerio launched in 2014. Noticeable changes include curves that translate all over the exterior fascia and then some. The wheel arches are neatly designed to give a sense of bulge without actually protruding. The most exciting section is how curves on the front and rear doors make the car like a concept design made real for the masses.  Curved headlights, curved front doors, a (mandatory to Indian markets) chrome strip splitting the nose grill, indicators integrated ORVMs, and a shrunk down Baleno inspired tail section make the Celerio look like a major overhaul to its earlier design.

The new Celerio is 55 mm wider than before. Also, its wheelbase is now 10 mm longer, making it 2,435 mm. The new Celerio has a 170 mm ground clearance, 5 mm more than the old model, making it easier to tackle all road undulations. Our top-of-the-line ZXi+ variant also comes equipped with keyless entry assist next to conventional upward pull door handles. Unlike its predecessor, the A-pillar is also sanely sized, which created a huge blind spot for the driver in the earlier model. What comes exclusively to the ZXi+ variant are the 15″ alloy rims with 175 section Yokohama tyres. All other variants come with standard 14″ rims and 165 section tyres.

Hop inside, and the all-new tagline feels justified cocooned in varied textures of black fibre all across the interiors. The earlier Celerio did come with part analogue and part digital console, but Maruti has overhauled the same approach on the new Celerio. The background textures are symmetrical geometric shapes with a clean and understandable round design that matches the new Celerio DNA. It looks amber clad, round, modern and youthful, with ample information for the driver. There are tonnes of textures on the dashboard, all in black fibre. Gone are the door controls from the doors, and everything now sits in the central bay. For better or for worse, the central console flaunts a 7-inch Smartplay touch infotainment system with support for wired Android Auto and Apple car play support. Do understand that only the top-end variants get this feature. The centre console extends adjacent to the front row seats ending with window controls for the rear seats.

Doors of the Celerio are barebones with no control units, but they make up for it with large door pockets, enough to place six full-size bottles across four doors. Apart from the base variant, all other variants get electronic controls for ORVM adjustment on the right side of the steering. This panel also features the switch for auto start-stop feature. Seats are cushioned well enough with integrated headrests for both front and rear seats. Thanks to the additional wheelbase, space at the rear is comfortable and ample for three teenagers. A healthy 313 litres boot space apart from a sink well for the spare wheel makes the car spacious enough for long trip luggage. Note that the boot storage lip is high and could be a hurdle when loading heavy baggage.

We drove the ZXi+ manual, and automatic variants, which come equipped with steering mounted controls, adjustable steering, height adjust for the driver seat and most bells and whistles of the lot. Such creature comforts are a welcome addition to the Celerio. That said, Maruti has also introduced the K10C 1-litre engine with this car. The engine is the same across the various variants, with AMT (AGS) offered upwards of the VXi variant. This engine is run by a 5-speed manual and automatic transmission and produces impressive 25+km/l mileage, a segment-leading number. Let’s check out how it feels to drive.

The new K10C engine is potent and carries the signature torque-oriented appeal. On paper, the engine makes 67bhp at 6000rpm and 89Nm of torque as low as 3500rpm. In the real world, the first gear seems short and to the point. Shifting up to the 2nd and 3rd gear with a bit of throttle reveals a healthy powerband that can stretch in 3 digits and way over the legal limitations on Indian roads. The engine is happiest over 1200rpm and pulls strong right up to 6000rpm. The 4th gear is excellent on highways with enough grunt to overtake, albeit in linear power delivery. 5th gear is best suited for comfort cruising which this engine does not mind doing all day long. The steering is electronically controlled, but the inputs are precise, and feedback is ample to feel the road underneath. What came as a surprise is how this car handles within city limits. At times, the steering, engine and chassis come together to make one feel like they are driving a much smaller car than the spec sheets suggest. This characteristic is excellent for novice and experienced drivers irrespective of their sex, age and other choices. The increased ground clearance and dimensions also make the car rock-solid on highway and in city speeds. There is a certain sense of body roll when carrying a few people and maneuvering the car at high speeds but never too intrusive in the overall driving experience.

One thing to be noted was the way this engine sounds when revved and performance-driven. We should make it clear that our cars were brand new off the assembly line. When stressed, the engine produces a growling noise, and the NVH levels aren’t the best in class either. While the sound felt like the engine was small, its performance did not match the sound output. Maybe a few oil changes would make this engine sound calmer, but it is worth noting nonetheless. The overall characteristic of the engine makes it a perfect choice to be driven on city and highway commutes without leaving the driver unsatisfied.

Increased wheelbase, better creature comforts, capable engine and new design language make the new Celerio look like a good competition in the crowded hatchback segment. Yes, some competitors like the Tata Tiago and Hyundai’s line-up add more features in comparison, but none have the K-series engine dynamics to match their stature. Still, in isolation, the Celerio matched with Maruti’s vast service network is a good budget option for anyone looking to get a new age hatchback with minimal running costs.

Legion 5 Pro: A No-Nonsense Gaming Laptop With The Best Display

The latest Lenovo Legion 5 pro has to be one of the best gaming laptops with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and a monstrous Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU. The predecessor laptops that came with the graphics card of the 2000 series were a bit of hard luck for Lenovo since Nvidia introduced its new 3000 series soon after.

This device is quite impressive in terms of its power-packed performance. It can be a suitable replacement for a gaming desktop because a gaming PC with an RTX 3070 requires a 750W of power supply meanwhile, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro gaming laptop uses a 300W power brick. However, the desktop GPU will always remain powerful.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

Design

The overall case design and build quality seem quite impressive to me. You can easily open the lid with a finger effort but don’t worry, the hinge is solid and won’t totter a bit. The device has a large keyboard and a trackpad. The key is plastic and doesn’t take a lot of force to press. It also has a curvature that helps you centre your keystrokes.

The logos on this laptop looks quite classy and subtle. One drawback, however, is that the screen does not fold back to 180 degrees which I think would have been better if the plastic piece wasn’t there for the backstop.

The entire unit feels premium with an aluminium exterior with durable plastic components. Starting on the left, there’s a single USB-C port, along with the headphone/microphone combo jack. On the left is a single USB-A port. Here is something remarkable – Right next to that is a small switch that physically disconnects your webcam when not in use.

Display

Gaming laptops tend to offer fast Full HD displays, and Lenovo excels in this domain. Legion 5 Pro offers fast refresh(165 Hz) and has upped the resolution to 2K in a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display is quite right and seems perfectly calibrated.

We like Apple’s iPad or Macbook’s display because it is bright and colour accurate. Lenovo seems to be catching up with that.

Performance

The Legion 5 Pro comes with a Ryzen 7 5800H, an octa-core processor with a maximum TGP of 140W. The model also bundles 16GB of RAM, clocked at 3200 Mhz. There are two other RAM modules that can be upgraded if desired. For storage, you got two 1TB SSD instead of one 2TB SSD, which is kind of weird, but whatever gets the device rolling!

What I like about Legion 5 Pro is that it utilizes a unique cooling solution. The device consists of large heatsinks, some heat pipes, and a pair of large fans. It offers a perfect balance between the quiet fans and the performance. The gaming loads were hot, as expected, but it was a lot cooler during regular use.

Legion 5 Pro also has a nice set of speakers that amplitudes as high as 80dB, which is good enough for playing games and streaming a show.

Why Should You Choose Bisq As Crypto Exchange?

Considering all these security measures, it can be calculated that Bisq is a very secure exchange because of its decentralized nature, and users can trade with confidence. You can use Bisq for peer-to-peer cryptocurrency transactions, rather than through a third party, and its decentralized nature makes it more secure than other more traditional exchanges. Since Bisq is not a centralized exchange, some of you may wonder how the cryptocurrency trading process works.

But What is Bisq?

Bisq is a P2P exchange that breaks the stereotype of traditional exchanges and makes it easier (and more confidential) to manage Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and fiat currency. Bisq is an application that anyone can download and run. It has an open-source P2P system that allows anyone to sell bitcoins in exchange for international currencies (FIAT) such as Euros, Japanese Yen, or U.S. dollars and alternative cryptocurrencies. Bisq is a blockchain-based decentralized and easy-to-use cryptocurrency exchange platform that allows users to securely buy and sell cryptocurrencies. Launched in 2014, Bisq is an open-source decentralized cryptocurrency trading platform that allows you to trade digital assets on a peer-to-peer network with minimum requirements.

Bisq is a decentralized bitcoin exchange that users access through a desktop application running on the Tor network. It does not require KYC information and allows users to buy or sell directly with each other without a trusted third party. Bisq secures trading funds with a 2-for-2 multi-signature escrow system and encrypts all communications between the two parties.

Many people will avoid decentralized transactions because there are usually several steps: Unlike most exchanges, there is no central authority or single point of failure, which makes it impossible for hackers (more on this later).

The decentralized nature of exchanges makes them a very secure platform that does not need to work with third-party platforms to conduct bitcoin exchanges. This is what makes this trading platform easy to use and allows it to be truly decentralized, even when it comes to buying fiat currencies. However, because Bisq accepts deposits in fiat currency, it stands out among the many exchanges that only allow deposits in cryptocurrency. To properly offer Bitcoin access, you need a decentralized exchange like Bisq.

Before we enter Bisq, it is necessary to understand the difference between centralized and decentralized exchanges. Bisq is one of the few cryptocurrency exchanges in the online space that operates in a decentralized manner. Anyone who trades on these platforms does not have to provide their identities and can use them as they see fit.

The reason for this is that even if some of them entered a decentralized P2P exchange, they would not find anything there, since platforms like Bisq do not store funds or sensitive personal data and information, so you are essentially hacking so as not to steal. something. However, if you trade on a centralized exchange, you usually hold assets on that exchange until you transfer them to your wallet. When you use a centralized exchange online or through a mobile app, the exchange stores bitcoins on your behalf.

How to use Bisq?

You need to deposit funds into your account to use the Bisq decentralized exchange. Once you fund your Bisq account, you can start trading. Any user of the platform can accept or conduct transactions with a small fee denominated in Bitcoin. As a decentralized exchange, Bisq does not require users to register on its platform; users can simply start trading on the platform by downloading and installing apps on their smartphones and replenishing their accounts with the necessary deposits.

When transferring or transferring funds, you may need to pay a commission to your bank or financial institution, but Bisq itself only charges operating and mining fees. On Bisq, the fees charged are slightly different from most similar cryptocurrency trading platforms. In the case of Bisq, the fees on the network are slightly different from those of traditional centralized exchanges. In these cases, using Bitcoin with a decentralized exchange like Bisq is a good solution.

Bisq is a downloadable software that provides a decentralized peer-to-peer exchange of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies without a central point of failure. As a decentralized trading platform that does not store or accept any funds, Bisq can support all imaginable and verifiable currencies, whether it is legal tender or not. Ultimately, Bisq is an alternative to LocalBitcoin. In fact, unlike most trading platforms that exist today, it is suitable for those who like the anonymity of cryptocurrency and are uncomfortable with traditional cryptocurrency transactions. Bisq is a useful platform for trading Bitcoin and many other types of cryptocurrencies.

How is Bisq different from others?

Bisq is a cryptocurrency exchange different from most others because it allows users to trade cryptocurrencies and fiat in a decentralized environment. The difference between Bisq and most other cryptocurrency exchanges is that it is a network in which peers can trade directly. The Bisq exchange allows you to sell or buy bitcoins for multiple currencies, cryptocurrency, and FIAT currency. Bisq offers trading in several fiat currencies including USD and Bitcoin, as well as many other cryptocurrencies.

Binance offers over 50 different cryptocurrencies to trade and is a good option for those looking for more advanced charts than most other exchanges. They also provide you with more advanced charts for experienced traders and exchange rates so you can track your investments accurately or buy bitcoins easily. With these platforms, users can trade Bitcoin using only their bank accounts or credit cards.

Because of this decentralization, these types of exchanges cannot obey the rules of any regulatory body, since no specific person or group is running the system. For example, some exchanges use centralized systems and user accounts, while others are decentralized with an emphasis on privacy. Well, some exchanges (the vast majority) are for cryptocurrencies only and don’t work with regular fiat currencies like dollars or yen.

conclusion

No matter how often you want to trade, or if you just want an easy-to-use currency, we’ve rounded up some of the best cryptocurrency exchanges that give you exactly what you want. We have selected exchanges that we believe are reliable, secure, easy to use, and have a longstanding and proven level of quality.
