Vishal Gondal | Top Leaders in Tech & Auto

Ex: Knowing you, how are your marathon runs going, we somehow feel your passion for fitness and running must have instigated the birth of Goqii?

Vishal: Yes , certainly now I am practising headstand and handstand now and getting good at it, running is always there but missing marathons now and that can certainly wait.

Ex: Has the lockdown been a blessing in disguise with uptick in the app downloads with the fitness wave sweeping across the country?

Vishal: Yes we have seen a 300% rise in our downloads and revenues also and because travel costs are reduced by team, so it’s going to be an interesting year.

Ex: How much revenue does the smart wearable vs the fitness coaching and consulting business share amongst each other?

Vishal: It’s a joint plan, we believe in the complete ecosystem.

Ex:  Is WFH better or working in the office?

Vishal: WFH is not an option now, but when meetings are in person you get 100%
mindshare, another issue is that people mute and switch the video off and play video games at times!

Ex:  Book/s that you read, and re-read?

Vishal: Bhagwad Gita

Ex: What are the productivity apps or technology that you use?

Vishal: I have hacks like I use my morning time for important decisions and have not been having breakfast, just coffee with ghee and wearing red shoes and red t-shirt. This saves me a lot of time thinking about what to wear and what to eat etc. So normally by the time people reach office they are already exhausted.

Ex:  What do you read of the pandemic and how it will change humanity and the environment in the years ahead?

Vishal: 95% of people will come back to their previous self, human beings are lazy and social animals. But the important thing is how organizations change, like after 9/11 airport security was beefed up everywhere. Whether the government takes care of health care and provides more in that department is yet to be seen.

Ex: What’s your ultimate vision for Goqii in the next 5 to 10 years?

Vishal: To be the largest healthcare company in the country. Healthcare as such is flawed and it’s more of “sick care”. The challenge is to make people fit and healthy with healthy habits so that we progress towards a healthier nation.

Ex:  Akshay Kumar signing up for GOQii is a big bold step? How much of that has helped Goqii?

Vishal: Before signing him up, we researched for a while. Baba Ramdev and Akshay Kumar came out on top of whom people have trust and listen to. Baba Ramdev was out of our league, of course, so we went to Akshay and deduced that our visions are the same. He is a vegetarian and is an example of idealistic living, early waking up, etc, which marries well with GOQii. So, as a brand, we are totally wired in together and it’s a great compliment!

Rahul Agarwal | Top Leaders In Tech & Auto

Ex: What is one truth you believe in that most people disagree with you on?
Rahul: Call a spade a spade. Do straight talk and don’t dance around the point

Ex: One thing you believe is absolutely necessary for sustained growth?
Rahul: There are 2 elements here. A battle hard mindset to gain share from the current market and growing the market itself. Challenging the current assumptions & continuously innovating while keeping customer preferences in mind can help
the latter. We have launched a range of new initiatives during COVID times to help PC customers – these include offering free service to all PC brands, virtual digital demos, launching the PC Pal website to provide brand-agnostic product recommendations for buyers, Lenovo on wheels to take stores to our customer doorstep, to name a few.

Ex: One book you keep coming back to?
Rahul: The art of thinking clearly by Rolf Dobelli. And “ fooled by Randomness” by Nassib Taleb The first one calls out different biases and how to consciously counter them. It has definitely made me more self-aware and conscious as a leader.
The second one is about interpreting data, trends and making correct conclusions

Ex: Leadership quotes that you live by (Can be multiple)
Rahul:  -Don’t worry about the things that you can’t influence
– Trust is the oxygen we all need, but it cannot be blind and needs to be earned
-Being too busy in meetings is one of the biggest corporate scams
-You and only you control how u spend time and on what
-“ I don’t know” and “ I made a mistake “ are rare gems in our world

Ex: What has been your biggest learning in the pandemic?
Rahul: – You can never be too prepared for future
– If u have a choice, take a positive view than a negative. We initially thought the PC market may crash but that didn’t happen
– Protecting the mind from disease is much more important than protecting the body
– Your true character comes out when one is put in an unprecedented situation.

Ex:  Some productivity apps and technologies you use in your daily life?
Rahul: My Thinkpad. It never let me down in the last 20years. And of course the Moto phone

Ex:  What is your technology detox like?
Rahul: In today’s progressive age, one cannot really take a break from technology. I don’t feel the need to do this but wish that I would check my phone less often

Ex: Any plans for introducing a comprehensive gaming chair?
Rahul: No, we don’t have such plans.

Ex: What changes do you see in consumer buying?
Rahul: The pandemic and lockdown have increased the overall adoption of laptops due to work-from-home and learn-from-home needs. Consumers are treating it as an essential device, given the growing need for virtual communication. Indian middle-class families are also beginning to investing in more than one laptop per family, to meet their children’s growing dependency on remote learning methods. While buying laptops or any other product, consumers also continue to follow physical distancing norms and prefer buying everything online. At Lenovo, we keep these consumer preferences in mind, and we have introduced a completely ‘contactless purchase’ model that allows a virtual salesperson’s assistance, online payment, and zero-contact home delivery of the device.

Nikhil Arora | Top Leaders In Tech & Auto

Ex: What is one truth you believe in that most people disagree with you on?

Nikhil: The fact that I believe that focus on holistic wellness not only belongs in the workplace but should also be an actively tracked parameter like other enablers of productivity and excellence. More than disagreement, I would say that most people don’t directly connect wellness with bigger wins or better growth in the workplace.

Ex:  What is the one subject you think aspiring leaders should learn?

Nikhil: The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated a lot of shifts for businesses; for example, we all talk about how businesses were forced to speed up their adoption of digital. This need for agility and the ability to operate in constraints will continue through the recovery period.

Ex: One thing you believe is absolutely necessary for sustained growth

Nikhil: In today’s post-crisis scenario, it would be a corporate purpose. We saw many examples of businesses that pivoted from their usual business models or offerings to continue serving their customers during the lockdown. What remained the same was their focus on customer needs and the purpose to impact their customers for good. For example, in India, we introduced GoDaddy Academy, offering free online courses to web professionals as well as MSMEs and entrepreneurs to help speed up digital adoption.

Ex:  One book you keep coming back to?

Nikhil: The Speed of Trust by Stephen Covey; and Good to Great by Jim Collins

Ex:  Leadership quotes that you live by (Can be multiple)

Nikhil: I am very inspired by billionaire investor John Doerr’s quote about the best business leaders being missionary first, before being mercenary.

Ex:  Some productivity apps and technologies you use in your daily life?

Nikhil: I use the Garmin app extensively for my training; it helps track my workouts, achievements, and key parameters like heart rate, sleep, and stress.

Ex: What is your technology detox like?

Nikhil: My usual escape from technology overload is getting involved in any new form of physical activity. I truly believe sports and fitness is an important facet of my physical and mental wellbeing, especially amidst these unprecedented times. Besides giving me the much-needed break from work, it helps me right-zone and
refocus my mind, while enabling me to constantly push the boundaries of what has been achieved before. Due to the COVID-19-induced lockdown, I started indoor cycling and have been doing more of that lately.

Ex: Apart from Domain, which other website services are planning to provide?

Nikhil: GoDaddy provides a full suite of integrated online products and solutions to help entrepreneurs and small business owners start, run, and grow their business online. We offer everything from domain to hosting, website building, professional email, and website security, to help our customers along the way. In addition to this, our award-winning, 24×7 customer care is a major differentiator for GoDaddy. In India, GoDaddy Customer Support is free of charge and offers support in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, besides in English.

Ex: What are some of your signature security measures to protect data?

Nikhil: At GoDaddy, we are committed to the complete security and privacy of our customers’ data across geographies. Our business is built on helping small businesses and entrepreneurs make a name for themselves online – not selling their data to other companies. GoDaddy security products allow our customers to protect themselves as well as their users’ data. We offer security products and services including SSL certificates and Website Security and Backup, for businesses to protect the assets of their customers in a simple, cost-effective way.

Ali Rizvi | Top Leaders in Tech & Auto

Ex: What is one truth you believe in that most people disagree with you on?

Ali: In our world, where change is the only constant, I personally feel that ‘Nothing is permanent’. Everything is constantly changing and evolving around us. Be it science, technology, society, human evolution, nothing stays the same. We are
always seeing new mutations and generations with each passing day.

Ex: What is the one subject you think aspiring leaders should learn?

Ali: An aspiring leader should not only have the effect to keep their management and work in sync, but one should also have the Ability to Listen as well. Good listening skills and the perfect amount of humbleness can be the answer to a lot of tricky situations.

Ex: One thing you believe is absolutely necessary for sustained growth?

Ali: I believe that Hard work and persistence is the only way to reach the top.  There are no shortcuts in life to success.

Ex:  One book you keep coming back to?

Ali: The book is called Blue Ocean Strategy by W. Chan Kim which gives a whole different perspective on how to compete in the market today with a more challenging and innovative approach.

Ex: Leadership quotes that you live by (Can be multiple)

Ali: This quote is one true quote I believe in with all my heart: “Integrity is the quality needed to succeed in business – John Maxwell”.

Ex:  How difficult is it to maintain a work-life balance?

Ali:  Work-Life Balance seems like a big obstacle for many. But It’s not if you really want a balance. It’s something you need to do to keep a healthy life be it professionally or your personal life.

Ex:  What has been your biggest learning in the pandemic?

Ali: These past few months have been really tough for everyone. I am extremely grateful for all the things around me that have made my life comfortable and I have been able to sustain the pandemic from the comfort of my house.

Ex: Some productivity apps and technologies you use in your daily life?

Ali: Since the pandemic has forced us to find alternative ways of working out from indoors, I have been hooked onto the Cult Fit App, religiously following their workout regime, and has helped me keep an active workout schedule at home.

Ex:  What is your technology detox like?

Ali: My technology detox is definitely, No Internet, all gadgets off, and quality time with self and family.

Ex: How extensive is your data on offline navigation?

Ali: Garmin offers a robust satellite navigation system to its users, which means internet data is not required. Thus the cost of navigation is zero. We offer Navigation features to Outdoor expedition, Golf, Marine, cycling & automotive ensuring they get the best and accurate navigation results.

Ex: Apart from wearables, is there any personal electronic accessory that you would like to delve into?

Ali: To me Self Driving cars & Gesture Control Technology is quite interesting and this is something I would like to get my hands on.

Lamborghini Huracán STO: Bringing the racetrack to the road

  • The purest concentration of Squadra Corse’s motorsports prowess, drawn from  Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO and GT3 EVO racecars, in a street-homologated super sports car.
  • Unique Lamborghini lightweight solution with superior aerodynamics and race car engineering.
  • Power of 640BHP and 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, weight to power ratio of 2.09 kg/hp, acceleration from 0-100km/h in 3.0 seconds, braking 100 km/h-0 in  30.0 meters, 200 km/h-0 in 110.0 meters, with the dynamic pace and handling to deliver lap records.

Automobili Lamborghini presents the Lamborghini Huracán STO – Super Trofeo Omologata: a road-homologated super sports car inspired by the racing heritage of Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s one-make race series with Huracán Super Trofeo  EVO, as well as its three-time 24 Hours of Daytona-winning and two-time 12 Hours of Sebring winning Huracán GT3 EVO.

With its V10 naturally aspirated 640 hp (470 kW) power plant producing 565 Nm at 6,500 rpm,  the rear-wheel-drive Huracán STO delivers exhilarating acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds,  0-200 km/h in 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h. However, its heart beats with the exhilaration and emotion of a racecar. Superior aerodynamic efficiency, extensive use of lightweight materials, unfettered steering and first-class braking performance, ensure the  Huracán STO delivers the emotion of a track experience on every road drive.

“The Huracán STO is the purest incarnation of Lamborghini Squadra Corse heritage, directly transferring technologies from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO and drawing on the Huracán GT3 EVO’s unique accomplishment of winning three consecutive times in the Daytona 24 hours,” said Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO, Stefano Domenicali. Maurizio Reggiani, Chief  Technical Officer added: “The Huracán STO delivers all the excitement of a beautifully balanced,  lightweight and aerodynamically superior super sports car, mirroring the driving feeling and exhilaration of Super Trofeo, and perfectly set up for the world’s most demanding tracks but created for the road. The extensive technical solutions and intelligence gained from both our Super  Trofeo and GT3 programs have been refined and embodied in the Huracán STO, allowing the pilot to experience the emotions of a racing driver, daily, in a road-legal Lamborghini super sports car able to take lap records.”

Aerodynamic and lightweight superiority in super sports car design

The Huracán STO sports an entirely new exterior design, revising its inimitable Lamborghini profile to optimize airflow. Mitja Borkert, Head of Design, says: “Racing cars are always a strong inspiration for our design. The Huracán STO exquisitely reflects the technology transfer from our  successful Huracán race cars, displayed in every aesthetic detail.”

The front bonnet, fenders and the front bumper are comprised of one single component: the  ‘cofango’ created by Lamborghini engineers combines the ‘cofano’ (hood) and ‘parafango’ (fender)  including the front bumper, inspired by the Lamborghini Miura and more recent Sesto Elemento. It is not only lightweight but also a timesaving access feature in motorsports.

New air ducts on the front bonnet increase the airflow through the central radiator to improve engine cooling as well as helping generate downforce. The cofango also incorporates a new front splitter, directing airflow to the newly designed underbody of the car and to the rear diffuser. The cofango is shaped to push the airflow on top of the front fenders, which incorporate louvres to maximize airflow exiting from the wheelhouse, reducing pressure inside and increasing the front downforce. The side profile of the cofango directs airflow around the front wheels, reducing drag.

A new rear fender derived from the Super Trofeo EVO achieves both reduction of the front area of the car and consequently the drag while increasing rear downforce and the car’s overall aerodynamic efficiency. A NACA air intake integrated into the STO’s rear fender serves as an engine air intake, with the shortened duct allowing a 30% decrease in static pressure losses. The revised rear hood design features an integrated air scoop to improve air-cooling at the rear underhood. Dedicated air deflectors, integrated into the rear bonnet’s frame, manage the significant incoming airflow from the snorkel according to the temperature regulation needs of the engine and exhaust out. An integrated ‘shark fin’ on the rear bonnet improves the dynamic abilities of the STO, particularly when cornering.

A manual, easily adjusted aero set-up of the new rear wing optimizes aerodynamic balance and drag resistance according to track characteristics. A single slotted wing with double airfoil allows the front part of the airfoil to rotate into three positions to enhance rear downforce. By reducing the gap between the front and rear airfoil, compression is increased on the upper side, upping the suction intensity and extension on the bottom of the front airfoil. The aero balance of the car can thus fluctuate by 13%, adapting the STO to different driving styles and conditions.

The Huracán STO incorporates a windscreen 20% lighter than the Huracán Performante, and features magnesium rims for the highest strength-to-weight ratio, saving further weight over aluminium alloys with the same load factor. The magnesium rims are fitted with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza tires, available in two versions: one road-focused, the other more track-oriented.

Three new driving modes exemplify the Huracán STO’s racing spirit, focused on high performance driving environments: STO, Trofeo and Pioggia. The default STO mode is for road driving and fun on curving roads. Every aspect of the Lamborghini Veicolo Dinamica Integrata (LDVI) vehicle dynamics system is optimized for all road conditions and coupled with a road-oriented suspension setting. The fully active ESC can be switched off for maximum driving fun while still supporting the driver.

The Huracán STO interior – designed for a purpose

The interior of the Huracán STO reflects the lightweight persona of the exterior: extensive use of carbon fibre features throughout the cockpit, including sports seats in full carbon fibre; an  Alcantara interior with Lamborghini’s Carbon skin; carpets removed and replaced by floor mats in carbon fibre; and the full-carbon fibre lightweight door panels with a door latch as an opener. A rear arch with four-point seatbelts and a newly designed front trunk for helmet storage, underline the Huracán STO’s racing DNA.

New Human Machine Interface (HMI) graphics feature on the Huracán’s touch screen, which manages the car’s functions including drive mode indicator, the LDVI system, tire pressures and brake temperatures. A fully connected telemetry system allows pilots driving their Huracán STO  on racetracks to monitor and record their performance and to analyze the data via the Lamborghini UNICA app.

Owners of the Huracán STO can fully personalize both the exterior and interior of their race car on-the-road via a rich Ad Personam personalization program, with limitless paint and trim combinations as well as race-style vinyl. The concept of a personalized livery is inherent in the design of the Huracán STO, just as Huracán Super Trofeo race cars line up in their unique colours and designs on the starting grid. The launch livery of Blu Laufey and Arancio California exemplifies the Huracán STO’s young and sporty racing spirit.

The first customers will take delivery of the new Lamborghini Huracán STO in spring 2021 and Lamborghini is expected to reveal prices around that time.

Shivalika Trikha’s evolution from working for others to working on & for herself.

From managing an A-lister like Ranveer Singh to finding her passion and start working on herself, for herself. She loves splurging money on the things she loves that mostly includes luxurious cars & traveling the world. She has traveled almost half of the world and there’s no stopping her. With over 600k+ followers, she is widely adored on Instagram by international audiences as well and is an Internet sensation that you just can’t ignore. In a candid conversation with Arshi Naqvi, Shivalika talks about her future goals and passion for traveling.

Ex: Hi Shivalika! Tell us something about your journey from talent management for some of the renowned celebrities to making so big in the modeling world in the USA?

Shivalika: Managing an A-lister was the hardest job I have ever had. It definitely sounds fun but it’s absolutely not. It’s a lot of hours, a lot of work, no vacation, no holidays. The job made me realize that if I had to work so hard, it should be for myself because as my favorite quote says ‘If you don’t work for your dreams, someone else will hire you to work for theirs’. Since I started working on myself, it has been life-changing.

Ex: What excites you the most about Travelling?

Shivalika: Traveling gave me a new perspective on life. It taught me so many things that I wouldn’t know otherwise if I decided to stay in my own bubble. I have no ambition to make money, I only want to make it so I can travel and see the amazing world that this universe created. I love meeting new people, learning and understanding new cultures, and making friends all around the world.

Ex: Can you give us an insight into social media platforms that only an Influencer can know?

Shivalika: Being an influencer is a constant effort. You have to be persistent at it. Most people see it as ‘fame’ but honestly, it’s a business more than anything. It’s just like owning a business.

Ex: If you were stranded on an island, what are the 3 gadgets you’d take along?

Shivalika: Phone, laptop, and speaker.

Ex: What’s been your favorite encounter with a fan so far? (DMs included!)

Shivalika: Hundreds of my superfans posted for my birthday last year and that just made my birthday super special

Ex: If you could spend one day in someone else’s shoes who would it be and why?

Shivalika: I would love to be Dalai Lama to understand the true meaning of life.

Ex: What does a typical day in your week look like?

Shivalika: Lots of work (modeling, influencing, and marketing) in the day and a lot of sundowner parties, hikes, beach trips, and rooftop dinners.

Ex: How do you go about dating?

Shivalika: I am always looking for love.

Ex: What is the best pickup line ever used on you?

Shivalika: Let me take you out before covid does, haha!

Ex: The one thing about women that men need to know?

Shivalika: Having a woman in life will only change it for the better.

Ex: If you could raid one woman’s closet who would it be?

Shivalika: Kim Kardashian, I love her style.

Ex: Your reaction to crossing the first 100k followers?

Shivalika: That I have 100K more people who love me :D.

Our Story So Far | 15th Anniversary

It’s the only time when I can look back and maybe pat my own back. 15 incredible years have just gone by, where we experienced recessions, floods, earthquakes, government changes, the social media revolution, and writing this in the middle of a pandemic. It was a blank canvas that we filled with the first issue of Exhibit, had no idea how this journey will unfold and whether we will last the first mile. Learned on the job the nuances of teamwork, editing, design language, printing, and managing finances, while staying broke most of the early startup days. Still a startup – An evolved one. As it’s said, the first step is important and the path gets unfolded. My first startup was mobile charging stations when the times were of the Nokia 5510 and Motorola Razr (not the folding one) we were manufacturing and installing mobile phone charging stations and supplying to Vodafone, Reliance, and Airtel and also installing in public places and selling advertising space on it. That’s where we picked up advertising and understood technology with fast charging and circuit boards. When the dream monopoly run of 1 year ran out, we sold the business and merged the two learnings, and launched Exhibit. I was a young chap back then, and young still 🙂

Honestly, our fate has been written before we even start crawling and every time I have faced this question of the print industry dying or magazines having no future, we always stood firm that we are much more than just a magazine company. We turned green within the 1st year of operation and to date, we have never raised a penny nor do we have any debts, in spite of having access to the biggest VCs in the country and calling them friends of Exhibit. Recently, we also took over a brand that I have grown up reading- BBC Topgear Magazine, and introducing it would be like reminding you of your name. In the peak lockdown, we launched aviatorsbuzz.com, thus completing our trajectory of Tech, Auto, Aviation. The three things I am passionate about and can be found daydreaming about!

We pivoted into the digital platform and events long back and got some of the biggest IPs under our belt, with all of them stitched together with the fabric of tech. Exhibit tech awards, which is in its 8th year is undoubtedly the biggest spectacle in the tech industry which is as glamorous as techy. Exhibit Startups, made us connect with 1000 startups so far and some of them are on the course to becoming a billion-dollar enterprise. Having first made their pitch on our platform, Haptik is one of them. Tech Fashion Tour, which has had global recognition since its first edition, which was 7 years ago and where international designers like Cute Circuit, London, Jasna Rok, Belgium, and others have showcased the future of fashion and technology and where stars like Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan have walked the ramp. InfluencexTop 100 Digital Influencers which is just two editions old has become the most viral IP yet. The first season had some of the biggest content creators like Bhuvan Bam, Prajakta Koli, Ashish Chachlani, and other Top 100 influencers all coming together for one big awards night which got converted to one big party. This year, of course, we did it virtually, ensuring it went viral.

Today, We run Influencex – which has 2000+ influencers content creators on our speed dial, we make TVCs and digital films, celebrity endorsements, and can deliver a feature film. We have three big Digital Destinations: www.exhibit.tech, www.topgearmag.in, and aviatorsbuzz.com that together caters to almost 3 million monthly visitors and the graph is continually growing. We can think through, ground-up any idea, and convert it into a spectacular show. The destination is neither known nor important and the goalposts have continuously shifted, but do we have stories to tell? Hell yes! The journey is exciting to the brim and as cliched as it may sound but we are just getting started. And yes we are still a magazine company.
