LG Showcased Latest Tech at CES 2024

LG Electronics recently showcased their latest innovations at CES 2024. The exhibition, themed “Reinvent your future,” highlighted LG’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences in everyday life.

One of the most impressive innovations on display was the LG SIGNATURE OLED T, the world’s first transparent and wireless 4K OLED TV. With fifteen 77-inch OLED Ts, this TV can transform into a transparent OLED TV, making it easy to install and integrate it into any room decor.

LG also showcased their AI-powered smart home technology, which not only digitizes our lives but also detects and addresses our needs. In a future smart home powered by LG ThinQ, non-contact sensors measure and digitize health indicators, automatically adjusting the indoor environment. The smart home even adapts to new additions such as pets, recommending personalized settings and accessories.

The Alpha-able concept focuses on Transformable, Explorable, and Relaxable experiences, using cutting-edge display technologies and home appliance solutions to adapt to passengers’ needs. This future mobility concept envisions cars as personalized digital caves.

LG Labs, the company’s experimental product and services development project, unveiled innovative products such as DukeBox, DUOBO, and Bon Voyage. The Better Life for All zone highlighted LG’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance initiatives. Notable products included the LG mycup, a tumbler washer, and the Universal UP Kit, designed for convenient operation of LG home appliances, irrespective of age, gender, or disabilities.

LG G2 OLED TV Hands-On: A Window to the Future

Everyone loves to watch movies on a larger screen, and experiencing a theatre-like atmosphere is everyone’s biggest desire. One of the TVs we received was the massive 97-inch slim OLED TV at our office! The picture quality is fantastic and looks sleek and modern. However, we were surprised to learn about its cost. The TV we received costs more than a modern-day top-of-the-line family car, with a whopping price tag of ₹20,49,990. You may be curious about the luxury TV and the company that manufactures it. The TV is created by a well-known brand that dominates the market. It is from LG, specifically the top-of-the-line G2 OLED model. I made sure it had the giant 97-inch OLED panel in the thinnest body, which transformed the office/home into a movie theatre and improved the aesthetics of the space.

The problem with reviewing such massive premium TVs is you get lost while experiencing content, so you forget that you’re supposed to be working and end up just watching TV for hours. That’s what happened to me with the LG G2 OLED TV. Perhaps not my most productive work moment, but it says a lot about this TV.

LG’s G2 OLED TV is its top-of-the-line model, featuring a 97-inch OLED panel. LG is a big proponent of OLED technology, and the G2 aims to be the best 4K TV available from LG. It is likely the most expensive 4K TV on the market. G2 is the second generation OLED TV from LG, and the most significant improvement is the brightness level, which has been upgraded over the previous generation G1.

Although the TV shares the same ‘Gallery’ design name as its G1 predecessors, it actually looks completely different: gone is the dark frame and chamfered edges, it is a nifty two-layer effect with a thin black rear ‘slab’, and the screen encased in an opulent-looking silver metal coat. The bezel is so thin that LG decided not to put any logo on the front.

The television stands out due to its OLED panel. The panel offers a nearly infinite contrast ratio that displays deep blacks, which makes it an excellent choice for watching movies in a dark room. Additionally, the panel is exceptionally bright for an OLED TV, making it a perfect choice for watching TV shows in a brightly lit room. Because of its OLED technology, the TV provides an incredibly wide viewing angle, making it a suitable option for a place with a broad seating arrangement. With a 120Hz refresh rate, it’s also an excellent choice for use as a PC monitor and provides an outstanding gaming experience overall. Furthermore, it supports GeForce Gsync, making it the preferred choice for gamers.

Performance-wise, LG decided to give it a powerful (alpha)α9 Gen5 AI Processor with AI Picture Pro & AI 4K Upscaling. The processor delivers a few extra improvements to LG’s picture quality for good measure. Upscaling of sub-4K video to actual 4K video without adding noise, and the results look remarkably more polished and sharp.

Like other LG TVs, it uses the webOS smart interface. It is one of LG’s most reliable operating systems on its smart TVs. It does support major streaming apps like Netflix and Apple TV+. So you don’t have to rely on a 3rd party smart dongle.

Audio performance is among the most impressive features of the LG G2 OLED TV. It encourages the setup of AI Sound Pro, which upgrades the set’s standard 2.1 stereo to virtual 5.1 surround sound, effectively adding dimension and height to the audio. Listening to Songs with AI Sound Pro emphasized the vocal’s megaphone effect, creating a stadium concert atmosphere in our testing studio.

In conclusion, the OLED G2 is undoubtedly LG’s best OLED TV to date. It has shown a significant improvement over its predecessor, the G1. The added brightness enhances everything from standard HD videos to stunning 4K HDR and the latest graphically advanced games on consoles and PCs. The best part is that the increased brightness is not forced or unnecessary. It blends in seamlessly without making anything look artificial.

Samsung isn’t just killing it in the smartphone and foldable arena, their laptops are making waves, too! Meet the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, a legit jaw-dropping 16-inch screen that’s basically a visual feast and not just a pretty face. This bad guy is powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i7, rocks Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-Series graphics, throws in 16GB of RAM, and serves up a speedy 1TB SSD storage, all crammed into a chassis that’s just 0.65 inches thick. Yep, you read that right.

The Book 3 Ultra flaunts a dazzling 2880 x 1800-pixel, 120Hz, Super AMOLED 2X masterpiece display. It’s a showstopper, no doubt. With its heftier weight of 3.95 pounds, indeed, it’s a heavyweight champion. The webcam and battery could use a little boost, but seriously, those are just minor blips in a laptop that’s dangerously close to perfection. Under the hood, the M3 chip is a game-changer, handling everything from a swarm of tabs to quick photo edits like a champ. Geekbench confirms it, scoring 20% faster than its predecessor. Yes, it’s significantly costlier than the 13-inch, but the upgrades are worth it—bigger, more colourful display, sharper webcam, more ports, and a performance boost that’ll make you smile. And let’s not forget that jaw-dropping 17 hours of battery life. It’s the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.

The LG Gram Pro 17 is the heavyweight champ of big-screen ultraportables. Sporting a massive 17-inch display with a sleek 16:10 aspect ratio, this gangsta brings the wow factor. It’s not just about the size, though; it’s got the performance to match and the battery life to live long enough. Sure, it’s a bit heavier than its predecessor, but that’s because it’s flexing a discrete Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics chip.

It may not win the sturdiness award or the budget-friendly category, but dang, it’s a delightful surprise in the “having it all” department as it is lightweight and rocks a spacious display. If you’re craving the portability of an ultraportable but drooling over-the-screen real estate of a desktop-replacement laptop, the LG Gram Pro 17 is your match made in tech heaven. It’s the dream combo in an easy-to-carry package.

Graphics-wise, you’ve got Intel Iris on the entry models, but if you’re feeling fancy, the pricier versions boast an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, making the laptop a legit gaming contender. The XPS 15’s 3.5K OLED display is definitely a showstopper, it’s sharp, vivid, and downright stunning, it’s like carrying a visual feast wherever you go. If you want a laptop that’s as versatile as your day-to-day needs and looks damn good doing it, the XPS 15 is your ticket to ride.

LG S95QR Soundbar Review: Sets a New Benchmark in Surround Sound

What comes into your mind when you think about a soundbar? If you ask me, it is a singular wide bar that does not have a style aesthetic but is designed to produce optimum sound. LG looked at this traditional design language of the soundbar and said “Nah, we’re not doing that” with the LG S95QR as it just might be the most aesthetically pleasing soundbar to have launched in the Indian market. LG has a good reputation in the audio market which the LG S95QR Soundbar not only maintains but goes beyond to deliver an immersive sound experience.

Design

The LG S95QR soundbar sports a unique 9.1.5 configuration coupled with a dedicated wireless subwoofer and two wireless rear speakers. This makes it an out & out home theatre system as opposed to just a soundbar. What you get in the box is one soundbar, one wireless subwoofer, two wireless rear speakers, one HDMI cable, four AC power cables and one remote. On the design front, the soundbar itself maintains a slim form factor that sits below your TV without being obstructive. The highlight of the soundbar design has to be the three grilled circular up-firing speakers on the top edge which compliments the overall aesthetic of the system really well. The design is both futuristic and minimalistic. This is the first time that we’ve seen a soundbar feature three top-edge drivers, most soundbars feature just two. The rear speakers, wireless subwoofer, and the in-box remote are pretty much a standard affair when it comes to the design.

Performance

The LG S95QR takes the high road when it comes to the channel count claiming a massive 9.1.5 channel experience. During our time with the system, we watched a number of movies like Top Gun: Maverick & Avengers: Infinity War where the surround sound experience was truly ecstatic. LG is clearly not focused on creating a clear surround sound with the S95QR but has gone a step further to make an immersive experience that wraps the audience in a ‘Meridian’ of sound.

The humongous 810W of claimed power is shared amongst the drivers of this system which was more than enough to rock the entire room during our testing. LG’s flagship soundbar is capable of playing both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X formats which are standard to the current audio formats in home entertainment. The soundbar as a standalone act also ended up creating an immersive experience in my small room. The massive range of format support options like Dolby Vision HDR (through compatible TV), HDMI eARC & Lossless Dolby Atmos or DTS:X is a treat for cine and audiophiles alike.

Verdict

The LG S95QR soundbar is one of the best in the premium segment for both music and movies. It’s a versatile system that delivers an immersive experience through its 9.1.5 channel.

The annual tech show always brings something unique and futuristic to the table. Let’s not waste time in the intro, which people usually avoid (especially in the article where the context matters the most) and dive straight into the best of CES 2023.

Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra 4K

Since we have accepted the new norm, a webcam has become a thing. At CES 2023, Razer unveiled a webcam, Kiyo Pro Ultra 4K, which offers DSLR-level detail and clarity to the viewer, thanks to Sony 1/1.2 inch Starvis 2 sensor. The newly announced webcam from Razer upgrades your video setup with high resolutions and AI-powered face tracking. The webcam has a physical shutter for privacy and works with nearly any display or monitor.

LG Signature OLED M TV

The world’s first truly wireless TV was announced a few months ago by a US-based brand Displace, and it debuted at CES 2023. However, LG has no different plans, as the brand unveiled the world’s first wireless OLED TV, and with its 97-inch screen, it’s probably the biggest one too. The TV transmits a 120Hz 4K video signal along with multiple audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, and offers exquisite picture quality and a sleek design.

Samsung 49″ Odyssey OLED G9

Samsung launched two Odessey monitors at CES 2023, one with a 57-inch screen and the other with a 49-inch. The Odyssey OLED G9 bumps the panel size to 49 inches while maintaining the 1800R curvature and VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black status. The Odyssey OLED G9’s maximum refresh rate has increased from 175Hz to 240Hz, and it will surely be one of the most loved gaming monitors in the future.

Lighthouse Tech Glasses for Blind People

The arrival of technology plays a massive role in our day-to-day life, mainly in specially-abled people’s lives, as it helps them in major aspects. Lighthouse Tech has come up with an innovation that is not only helpful for mankind but is also something that should have been found a long time ago. They’ve launched glasses that help blind or visually impaired people confidently find their way through a crowd. The glasses sport built-in motion sensors and vibrate when there’s something or someone around you to help the wearer move easily.

At CES 2023, Panasonic launched a new lineup of flagship OLED TVs named MZ2000, and the TVs from it will be available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch screen sizes. However, as always, the brand hasn’t confirmed the cost of the TVs and when they go on sale. Let’s ask the spokesperson about it. The MZ2000 TV sports a revised Dolby Atmos speaker system with new sound modes, a new heat management system and a new True Game mode.

Steambox – The Self-Heating Lunchbox

Back in the century, we used to consume cold meals right out of the tiffin box, then someone launched an oven, and we started having hot meals. However, one can not carry an oven at all places, especially when you’re on the move or somewhere remote, and this thought prompted Steambox to make a self-heating lunchbox that warms your food on the go. The incredibly good-looking Steambox can be operated through a connected app on iOS and Android. The rechargeable Streambox is made up of a 100% natural bamboo lid with leakproof technology and offers three uses on a single charge to serve you warm food wherever and whenever you want.

Pepaminto Mattress Topper

The definition of what we need to have a good sleep has various responses, as the perception of warmth differs for each individual. The German Start-up Variowell developed a topper (mattress) after testing thousands of people and won the CES® 2023 Innovation Award in the digital health category. The mattress is made to provide solid sleep during the night when body temperature, heart rate and blood flow fluctuate the most. It can be operated manually with the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch.

LG OLED T TV – The Transparent TV

Technology is catching up with us at such a pace that what was once a figment of our imagination is now a reality. LG’s new OLED T TV unveiled during the CES 2023 is proof of this. The ‘T’ is completely transparent in the no-picture mode, much like a glass pane, allowing you to see through it. Apart from offering a great viewing experience, the TV can be used as a digital window. Seems like a good idea for people who want to switch between the real and virtual world!

The Relumino Mode by Samsung

To make the everyday use of technology more sustainable, Samsung unveiled a vision for a calmer, more connected world at CES 2023 and the new Relumino mode introduced in the Samsung TVs is one of the most palpable innovations. The Relumino mode has layers of camera technology that highlights outlines, sharpens contrast, and enhances colours to help people with low or limited vision. The mode will come to Samsung Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs later this year. Samsung also displayed a new version of Relumino glasses that first debuted at CES in 2018.

TCL RayNeo X2

We know TCL for its TVs, but they are now entering the AR and VR world, which sounds like an aggressive move from TCL. The Chinese electronics company is looking to expand its horizons, and to follow that; it has launched the RayNeo X2, its first AR glasses, at CES 2023. The glasses have their own touchpad control on one arm to navigate and tap through apps and are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The glasses feature full-colour micro-LED displays in each lens and boast a 16MP camera, which can capture pictures and record videos up to 1080p.

The pillow has been featured as a CES Innovation Awards 2023 honoree and features a technology that detects when you start snoring. As soon as you start snoring on a motion pillow, the Motion System will automatically signal the pillow to inflate airbags within it so that you can change the position of the head and stop the snoring.

The bike offers about 28-30 kms in one go when charged for three hours and can be used as a 100 V AC power source for outdoor activities and emergencies.

DAKD JUNG – Ferrofluid Speaker

When we first looked at the DAKD JUNG ferrofluid speakers, we thought it was a lava lamp placed in front of a regular speaker, but it turned out to be something new and extraordinary. The innovative speakers are designed and built by South Korean artist Dakd Jung and have a dancing liquid, an innovative substance made of nanoscale ferromagnetic particles suspended in a carrier fluid, which moves on a musical beat.

TCL Glasses-Free 3D TV

Don’t you think 3D is an immortal form of technology, as it always returns with something new and refuses to die? At CES 2023, TCL unveiled a TV that offers a glasses-free 3D experience to the viewer by using a lenticular, making it one of the most innovative TVs of the show.

Foxsky Portable Outdoor Power Station

Canon EOS R10

Canon never ceases to surprise us with its highly innovative cameras, and when it comes to EOS R10, we have no words, as it is a stunner. Let’s take a quick look at the major announcements before the actual event hits the shore.

Samsung

Samsung is known to play a vital role in the event and grabs the maximum attention every year. The newly revealed monitors by Samsung are one of the coolest yet, but what caught most of the attention was the Flex Hybrid – a device with a 4:3 aspect ratio that expands into a 16:10 device; it FOLDS as well as SLIDES.

LG

Samsung and LG have always made CES their home pitch, but in 2023, LG looks a little slow, at least in the initial phase. Till now, the company has unveiled the Z3, G3, and C3 OLED evo series TVs, all loaded with the new α9 AI Processor Gen6. The latest evo series TVs will offer brighter displays, greater colour accuracy, a more personalized webOS experience, virtual 9.1.2 surround sound and enhanced dynamic tone mapping.

Price is Right? The most expensive TVs to buy

COVID times brought upon a big surge in home entertainment and how films are consumed. The mainstream entertainment industry globally is now adapting to the changing audience behaviour when it comes to stepping into the cinemas to watch a film. This major change in consumer behaviour has been enabled by OTT platforms going mainstream during the outbreak. Now, the audience can be seen walking in for only event films like a Marvel project or the recently released Brashmastra which was yet another addition to the crowded superhero genre of films. Whereas,  other films are quickly being directed to OTT platforms from the cinemas due to a lack of audience. One major reason for this shift in audience behaviour is being credited to people now having access to OTT platforms via televisions which provide a premium viewing experience.

The emerging pattern of changing audience behaviour suggests that people now are more than just happy to enjoy a film on their television as opposed to walking in the cinema halls. Televisions on the other hand have also upped their game by providing multiple features and high resolutions which enables users to enjoy the content in the best form. While smart televisions in India are available at multiple price points starting from as low as Rs 8K, we wanted to have a look at the flip side of the coin to find the most expensive television in the country.

Be it Samsung, LG, or Xiaomi, various tech players have introduced their offerings in the premium television market. All the below-listed televisions are the best the company has to offer at an expensive price point. Here are the most expensive televisions to buy in India:

  • Samsung The Wall Luxury 292-inch Ultra HD 8K Smart MicroLED TV

The Wall television series is in a class of its own. Designed specifically for either business or luxury living, The Wall TV comes with a massive 292-inch form factor. The price of the television is as big as the form factor it comes with. Samsung’s The Wall is priced at a colossal 88 lakhs, making it one of the most expensive televisions around the world. While there are overkill televisions which come at the pricepoint of crores only cause they have gold and diamonds on them, I am keeping this list exclusive to TVs priced at expensive rates for what they offer.

The Wall TV is titled such due to its microLED technology. The microLED technology transfers micrometre-scale LEDs into LED modules which resemble wall tiles. The company claims that The Wall’s microLED technology can provide two times superior colour purity and a vast colour gamut as compared to other LED displays. The 292-inch TV produces a one-of-a-kind colour output with vibrant yet natural colours. The main attraction of the television for me is the depth of less than 30 mm and the bezel-free infinity design which can blend into its surrounding like a giant frame. Not to forget that the company also manufactures a TV lineup titled ‘The Frame’, however, ‘The Wall’ is the perfect title for this gigantic 292-inch TV.

Price:  ₹88,00,000

  • LG Signature OLED R 65

To the unversed, the ‘R’ in the title of the LG Signature OLED R 65 stands for ‘Rollable’. This is the first TV ever to come with a rollable 65-inch display. The TV with the flexible display is priced at… wait for it… a MASSIVE ₹75 lakhs! So what do you get for paying the price for a TV you can get a house for? For me, it is the futuristic form factor.

Imagine waking up in the morning and pressing a button to make your television emerge from a table-like speaker set-up! It will surely make me feel like Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The USP of the rollable TV is the flexible display itself, of course. The display can be ‘rolled into’ three different modes namely, Full View Mode, Line View Mode, and Zero View mode where the display can be entirely rolled down just to use the speaker. It comes with the support of Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos. While the television is not 8K, something one would expect in TV after spending a quarter less than a crore, the 4K self-lit panel provides crisp details and an immersive experience. Would I be interested in spending that amount on television? Hear me out, if I can feel like am living in the future with a rollable TV, why not? The LG Signature OLED R 65 is available only in offline stores and not on any online shopping portals.

Price:  ₹75,00,000

  • LG Z2 88 (223cm) 8K Smart Signature OLED TV

the LG Z2 88-inch 8K Smart Signature OLED TV, This television is clearly the best you can get for your money and is priced at a massive amount of ₹23.50 lakhs on LG’s official website. The ultra-premium TV was an honoree of the CES 2022 Innovation Award which is a big achievement. Well, if you’re willing to shell out over 20 lakhs for your television then you must know if it is actually worth shelling out the big bucks. The simple answer is ‘Heck yeah!’

The TV comes with a vibrant self-lit 8K OLED panel. It provides deep and rich colours as 33 million pixels illuminate independently for optimum entertainment. It comes with LG’s α9 Gen 5 AI 8K processor that includes body and object-enhancing capabilities to sharpen people and objects in the frame. The TV does not come with a backlight as all pixels are self-illuminating, providing deeper blacks and the right contrast for every light setting. The presence of Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos brings the cherry on the top with immersive details. Gamers can also call this television their primary gaming screen easily as it comes with the support of NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync and VRR Support. This allows ultra-fast action in the games to appear smooth. It has the audio prowess of 80W in the front firing setting. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 are also present on the premium television.

Price:  ₹23,50,000

  • Samsung QA85Q950TSK 85 inch QLED 8K UHD TV

You cannot talk about expensive TVs and not include Samsung as it is one of the key players. The Samsung QA85Q950TSK 85-inch comes with a Quantum 8k processor. Before I tell you about all the cool features this TV comes with, let me tell you that this Samsung TV is priced at a whopping ₹14.50 lakhs. The 85-inch TV came with an 8K panel with AI upscaling capabilities. The quantum 8K processor can upscale various sources and resolutions in 8K which always gives the viewer a premium experience. Besides the stunning 8K upscaling prowess, the Samsung TV also comes with object Object Tracking Sound+ technology. This feature tracks motion in the video and creates an immersive sound using the up-firing and down-firing speakers.

The Samsung QA85Q950TSK QLED TV also comes with Ultra Viewing Angle capabilities. This enables the viewer to see consistent pictures from every angle. Another useful feature of the TV is the ‘Multi View’ option which splits the TV screen in two, allowing viewers to watch films/shows on one side, and mirror their mobile device on the other. Apple users have an added benefit with this TV as it comes with AirPlay 2 built-in. This enables users to share content from Apple devices to the TV with ease. The 75-Inch variant of the device is priced at ₹10.50 lakhs.

Price:  ₹14,50,000

  • LG Nano99 8K NanoCell TV

The next television on the most expensive list is all about colours! While consuming content on television, viewers can often see some colour disparities. While the blacks aren’t deep enough in some TVs, the colour saturation or production is just not right in others. LG tried to tackle this issue in their NanoCell TV series which comes with technology capable of emitting the right colours. The LG NanoCell technology, according to the company operates on Pure RGB wavelength which removes impure colours from the picture.

The company claims that NanoCell technology produces ‘Close To Perfection’ colours having a contrast modulation rate of 97.8%. The highest in its class when it comes to accurate colour production, if you wish to buy the LG NanoCell 8K TV then you’ll have to shell out ₹10,99,990. Using deep learning algorithms, the NanoCell TV can transform 2K and 4K content into 8K, enhancing the detail and definition. Talking about the definition, the TV provides optimal HDR picture quality by making several adjustments. Sports fans also have something for their interest as it can send sports alerts before, during and after games. It comes with a 60W speaker output with a 20W sub-woofer output.

Price:  ₹10,99,990

  • Samsung 75-inch Frame QLED 4K TV

When it comes to the blend of style and technology, the Samsung 75-inch Frame QLED 4K TV definitely takes the cake. The TV comes with a swappable, snap-on picture frame which gives it a different touch altogether. The TV is marketed more as a lifestyle product which comes with a matte display designed to showcase art at its best. The Samsung Frame 75-inch QLED television was initially launched at the price of ₹4,24,900 but is currently priced at ₹2,99,990 on Samsung India’s official website.

The feature which makes it stand out from the lot is as the name suggests, the frame itself. The TV comes equipped with the ‘Art Mode’ where the frame transforms into an art display whenever you are not watching TV. viewers can choose from a library of over 1,400 artworks or add their own art pieces to reflect their unique personalities. The screensaver mode in all typical Android TV does not stand anywhere near the Art mode in Samsung’s The Frame.

Price: ₹2,99,990

  • Vu The Masterpiece Glo Series 4K

After going through a number of ultra-expensive television sets, I would like to acquaint you with a TV which won’t burn as big a hole in your pocket. The Vu Masterpiece Glo Series is priced at ₹1,59,990 for the 75-inch variant. While this definitely is expensive, the feature-rich TV provides an overall experience which bangs for the buck. The cinephile in me wonders at the ‘Filmmaker Mode’ feature present in the TV. The company claims to have collaborated with filmmakers like Christopher Nolan to build the feature which displays the content exactly how it was intended to be portrayed by Hollywood well-knowns.

The Vu Masterpiece Glo Series 4K comes with an Armani Gold 4.1 speaker with a subwoofer built in. The 100W sound system coupled with the subwoofer makes the additional requirement of sound systems obsolete. Another key feature of the TV comes with a far-field microphone for hands-free voice searches. The TV can be given commands from a distance as opposed to having a remote nearby to give voice commands.

Price: ₹1,59,990

  • Xiaomi Mi QLED Q1 4K

The final TV in the list comes from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi QLED Q1 TV is touted by the company as the ‘Theatre of Tomorrow’, and looking at the powerful specs priced at just ₹1,29,999, it is definitely worth having a look at. The 75-inch TV comes with a 4K Ultra resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz. For connectivity, there are 3 HDMI ports which can connect to the latest gaming consoles and set-top boxes. 2 USB ports and Bluetooth 5.0 are also present here.

Xiaomi had disrupted the Indian TV market by saturating it with 4K televisions at a competitive price. With the QLED TV, the company has attempted to do the same by pricing it a little lesser than the competition. The Quantum Dot display is coupled with a powerful sound system. It comes with a 6-speaker set-up with 30W output. The picture quality is also top-notch as it comes with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG.

The OLED Tech ft. LG G2 X Mercedes Maybach S580

Life has to progress towards grandeur, from essentials to extraordinary; our possessions define our journey. Technology only improves with time, while luxury defies time, like the Mercedes Maybach, which is the epitome of luxury. While the G2 65” 4K Smart OLED evo TV is a sleek luxury piece-of-art addition to your pads with an infinite contrast ratio, powerful α9 Gen5 AI Processor and 4K 120Hz panel with VRR support that enables the best sources technology has on offer today and tomorrow. There is something common between these two which is the OLED tech, and that’s what has triggered us to get these two together.

We tried our best to get to know about both these products and summed up all our experiences for you. The LG OLED TV has a show-stopping silhouette design that blends into your wall, which once seemed impossible. Once you turn on the Gallery Mode to showcase the works of reclaimed artists, your guest will get confused about whether it is a TV or wallpaper as the colours, details, and textures are surreally like the real thing. Believe it or not, it is the slimmest and sleekest TV in the current market. It has one of the best and brightest displays I’ve ever seen, witnessed, and used. The 65-inch TV is priced at 330k in India and arrives with an LGs latest evo panel which offers outstanding picture quality, but you want to know what the best part of having an OLED is?

The iconic TV has minimal borders that are hard to measure and detect. A week back, I was watching a show on the National Geographic channel, and due to the bezel-less display, at one point, I thought I was right there with the forest rangers and wildlife photographers, literally. Now, if you ask me how you define the epitome of luxury? I would say by experiencing it. The Mercedes S-580 Maybach has everything you would practically expect from a luxury sedan, thanks to the rich history it carries. The S-580 Maybach is one of the best cars in the world and oozes opulence from every angle.

The car offers excellent under-thigh support, cushions behind your head with a heating option, and a large 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen, which allows you to control practically all car functions. It resonates with class and derives a sense of aristocracy like no other thing in the world can provide.

While the 65-inch 4K Smart OLED display of the LG TV offers everything, you could ask from a TV. The 4K resolution of the TV is paired with the self-lighting pixels, which gives us incredible infinite contrast and perfect black levels. Thanks to tonnes of format support and AI trickery making, this TV is as desirable as the luxuries on wheels. The picture quality of the TV is simply perfect, just like the rear seat experience of the Maybach S-580. When you’re in the backseat of the Maybach S-580, you are spoilt, and getting out of the seat is going to be a tough challenge. The car’s ambient lighting turns the darkest of nights into an occasion.

The Burmester music system transforms the cabin into your personal grandeur entertainment setup. I love how the speakers dramatically pop in and out each time you pause or resume your music. Watching sports along with your friends or family increases your adrenaline level but to enjoy sports matches in a group setting, you need to have a TV that offers wide viewing angles. The LG G2 TV supports Dolby Vision Gaming 4K at 120Hz with a 0.1ms response time, along with great colours and black levels. The TV is the top choice for gamers as it has features for gamers who want it all, even if they aren’t likely to use it all. The OLED TV offers an outstanding level of immersion, so it’s time to put your games on the big screen. Since the arrival of the Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync™, gaming on TV screens has reached new levels, as with them, the OLED TV can deliver over 120fps at 4K. That’s simply incredible.

The gaming experience on LG TV is so natural that sometimes while playing racing games, I feel like I’m driving in the real world. The gaming session is so effortless that I almost feel like enjoying every comfort my Mercedes offers when I’m on the actual roads. The filmmaker mode of the TV is supposed to preserve the creative intent of the moviemaker by letting you watch your favourite film in its original form, and it does the job really well. The white light output of the OLED is the highest I’ve ever seen from any OLED-based display.

Just like the opulence and epitome of luxury that the Mercedes S-Class Maybach provides, this OLED TV is something you’d definitely want to hang on your wall instead of a Picasso painting. Both these products define the term luxury in their unique ways and are an excellent choice for someone progressing towards grandeur with style and compassion, more like arriving in life.
