Facts about Quantum Computing that will blow your mind

When we study physics one thing that we are always told, is that it is definite. Either it can be something it or it cannot be. Right?

Wrong. As opposed to the Newtonian theory of light’s nature as a particle, in the late 19th century, Albert Einstein revived light’s wave nature. The nature of light as the wave was proposed by Huygens but was dismissed because of Newton’s reputation. However, later it was established that light is “both a particle and a wave”, its essential theory was further evolved from electromagnetics into quantum mechanics.

If you did not understand anything that’s written above just skip the jargons and read along with the wonderful manifestation of quantum physics in computing. Here is the simple definition of the concept behind Quantum Computing.

The data is stored in a computer in the Boolean form, i.e in sets of 0 and 1. All digital circuits that we have presently are all dependent on this Boolean concept of data storage. You can say that all the computer circuitry that we have today, understands boolean logic; that is the manifestation of data and information in 0s and 1s.

Quantum Computing challenges the present advances in digital electronics technology. Now data can exist in multiple bits, anything between 0 and 1.

Here is an example to illustrate it:

The lowest unit of memory is a bit. (Take it analogous to cell ‘the building block for the body’). A bit can be either 1 or 0. 8 bits make 1 byte. 1024 bytes as 1KB, 1024 KBs as 1 MB and so on. So for 1 byte, there can be 16 possible combinations in which data can be stored.

For quantum computers, the smallest unit of memory is called Quantum Bit aka Qubit. A qubit can exist in both states simultaneously (0 and 1), as well as many other states in between. Now as opposed to the traditional concept Qubits can hold much more data, that gives rise to faster parallel computing.

The future is very promising as computer scientists working on quantum computers believe that it will be possible to harness these mechanisms and build computers which will be millions of times more efficient than anything available today. Here are some of the real-world problems that Quantum Computers are expected to solve.

With a lot of businesses and transactions online, the last decade had seen a 100% increase in data breaches by nefarious hacker groups holding digital businesses hostage for ransoms. Quantum computers will revolutionize data security as we see today. Even though quantum computers would be able to crack many of today’s encryption techniques, predictions are that they would create hack-proof replacements.

Even though Quantum Computers is the thing for the future, don’t expect it to be a regular home use computer. The computers that we have now is not going to go anywhere or be replaced by Quantum Computers. In fact, classical computers are better at some tasks than quantum computers (email, spreadsheets and desktop publishing to name a few).

Given the faster processing speed, Quantum computers are great for solving optimization problems. From figuring out the best way to schedule flights at an airport to determining the best routes on Google Maps things will be more efficient. Recently, Google announced its indigenous quantum computer 100 million times faster than any classical computer in its available.

Now that you have a brief idea of what a quantum computer can do, let’s see what some of its advocates have to say about this.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO:

“The world is running out of computing capacity. Moore’s law is kinda running out of steam … [we need quantum computing to] create all of these rich experiences we talk about, all of this artificial intelligence.”

Seth Lloyd, author of Programming the Universe:

“A classical computation is like a solo voice – one line of pure tones succeeding each other. Quantum computation is like a symphony – many lines of tones interfering with each other.”

Jeremy O’Brien, a physicist at the University of Bristol:

“In less than 10 years quantum computers will begin to outperform everyday computers, leading to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, the discovery of new pharmaceuticals and beyond. The very fast computing power given by quantum computers has the potential to disrupt traditional businesses and challenge our cybersecurity.”

While the world is optimistic to revolutionize a lot of things by using Quantum Computers, building one is no less than a scientific conundrum.

With the sub-polar requirement of temperatures, Quantum computing requires extremely cold temperatures, as sub-atomic particles must be as close as possible to a stationary state to be measured. The cores of D-Wave quantum computers operate at -460 degrees f, or -273 degrees c, which is 0.02 degrees away from absolute zero. So don’t be surprised if the arctic and antarctic is the next destination to claim information supremacy

Honda Africa Twin: The definition of off-roading renewed!

If you are into luxury vehicles but like to take them off the road, this motorcycle could be your dream come true. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has officially begun the delivery of the latest iteration of the Africa Twin Adventure Sports. It is the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer’s flagship adventure-tourer and is the first 1000cc ‘Make in India’ model by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India.

The motorcycle is also the company’s first BSVI-compliant big bike in India. It was first launched in 2017 and has since garnered over 200 customers in the country. Its latest iteration was launched in March 2020 by Ricky Brabec (Reigning 2020 Dakar Rally World Champion from Monster Energy Honda Team).

Honda has made the 2020 Africa Twin better than before, making it smaller, slimmer and 5 kg lighter. This delivers 12 percent more peak power, 11 percent more peak torque and 10 percent increased power to weight ratio. It also gets cruise control via Throttle by Wire (TBW), as well as wheelie control, rear lift control and 3-stage cornering lights. The motorcycle also gets a bigger engine, new lightweight chassis, new electronics and new suspension units. Other updates include a bigger 24.8-litre fuel tank, 5-stage adjustable windscreen and heated grips. Honda has also equipped the motorcycle with Apple CarPlay, which can be accessed via a 6.5-inch MID TFT touch screen.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Starting the BSVI era of its premium motorcycle business, Honda introduced the brand new 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in March this year. We are pleased to announce the first delivery to the proud #TrueAdventure lover. The 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports takes the ‘go anywhere’ spirit one step ahead. So, pack your bags & get ready as #TrueAdventure is back!”

For the first time, Honda has launched the Africa twin with the option of a manual gearbox. While the original Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) unit gets the Darkness Black Metallic colour, the new manual option gets a Pearl Glare White colour. Honda is also offering genuine accessories such as top box, visor, quick shifter, main stand, rally step, engine guard, front fog light, and a smoked wind screen for both the variants.

If you are looking to go for dedicated off-roading, the DCT variant poses as a better option, simply due to the option of changing gears with your hands. This will help the rider shift gears when it is not possible for him to reach the footpegs, such as while water wading. Other riders who wish to enjoy all the benefits of the motorcycle without shelling out extra can opt for the manual transmission option.

The Africa Twin has already set the benchmark as a potent off-roader in India. Now, with a relatively cheaper alternative of the manual transmission, the motorcycle is expected to garner a larger audience, especially fans of the manual gearbox. It commands an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 15,35,000, while its DCT counterpart sells for Rs 16,10,000 (ex-showroom).

Apple-Google COVID-19 Tracker Can’t Be Used in India

Google and Apple came together in April and developed tech that will help governments around the world to reduce the coronavirus spread. It is called the Covid-19 exposure notification or Covid-19 contact tracing tech. After months of hard work, the technology is now ready and is available on iOS and Android.

What is this tech all about?

This new tech is available as an Application Programming Interface (API) for Android and iOS Smartphones. The tech is smart enough to let the Smartphones log other devices they come in the vicinity of and enables “contact tracing” of the disease. It can’t function on its own and needs a supplementary app to work.

How does this contact tracing API work?

A public health app needs to use the API developed by Google and Apple for the technology to function. The app sends and receives data from nearby devices and keeps a record of people one may have come in contact with and their Covid-19 status. The app updates all the data on cloud. It regularly runs scans to check and notify people if they have unknowingly come in contact with any Covid-19 positive person. Health agencies are also notified so that the person can be tested and the spread of the disease can be curbed.

Why doesn’t it work in India?

Unfortunately, the Aarogya Setu App doesn’t use Apple-Google API. It needs a device’s location access and Bluetooth access to be able to function. The problem is that the Apple-Google API doesn’t give permission to public-health apps to access location data and that’s why it can’t be used by the Aarogya Setu app.

Apps built on Apple-Google API use only Bluetooth while the Aarogya Setu App needs location access too in order to collect information. If we compare the two, the Aarogya Setu collects more data in terms of location and numbers. It also stores data on the user’s phone, uploading it under certain circumstances. However, the Apple-Google API uses DP-3T (Decentralized Privacy-Preserving Proximity Tracing) protocol. This assigns randomised and anonymous unique IDs. Since these IDs change often, the tech can pick up data of corona positive people without any disclosure of identity or location.

We would’ve been happy to explore the two together but due to limitations in tech compatibility, it seems like we won’t be able to use the new Google-Apple API in Arogya Setup for now.

Planning a road trip to America? You can take this route!

If you have ever dreamt of taking a long drive or going on a road trip, you must have probably pictured going to the tips of our country, or crossing the border into the neighbouring nation. But have you ever considered travelling halfway across the world without leaving the road? Well, it seems Russia plans on turning that dream to reality.

As per a report in The Siberian Times, Vladimir Yakunin has proposed a plan for a trans-Siberian highway. The Russian Railways president stated that the highway would link Russia’s eastern border with Alaska, an American state. This highway crosses a narrow stretch of the Bering Sea, which separates Asia and North America. It would connect Russia with North America via Russia’s far eastern Chukotka region, across the Bering Strait and into Alaska’s Seward Peninsula.

Vladimir Yakunin. Image: The Siberian Times

It is called the Trans-Eurasian Belt Development (TEPR) and should be constructed along the existing Trans-Siberian Railway, along with gas pipelines and a new network of trains for oil. The highway is expected to run across the entirety of Russia and will connect with existing road systems in Western Europe and Asia.

Image: The Siberian Times

Viktor Sadovnichy, rector of the Moscow State University, said the network would help the Far East and Siberia feel more in touch with the rest of the world. He said: ‘Recently I returned from Khabarovsk, where I met with rectors of universities of the Far East – about 100 of them in total.

Russia’s western and eastern borders are separated by almost 10,000 kilometres of land and is connected by the Trans-Siberian railway. It runs from Moscow to Vladivostok and covers 9,258 kilometers. If the highway connects Europe to the US, it should take about 13,000 kms for a road trip from London to Alaska via Moscow.

Now though the idea seems like a dream come true for many, it will take a long time to be realized. The project is expected to cost trillions of dollars and will be one of the most comprehensive projects around the world. Yakunin is supposed to be a close friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which could mean a national interest in this project. He also stated that the project would give massive economic returns that will compensate for the massive investment.

If and when this project turns to reality, it would be a massive opportunity for automobile enthusiasts around the world to exchange their cultures. While cross-country trips are possible and undertaken by a few fanatics, it is not feasible for most. The extreme costs of crossing the borders, coupled with exhaustive hours of driving and multiple weather conditions discourage many.

What REALLY Matters When You Go for Digital Marketing

With tech going in all directions at a pace we can’t even catch up with, newer marketing ideas are on the rise. There are so many social platforms and add to it the formats, duration, diversified audience, ‘storytelling’ and so much more. This can be so overwhelming for a marketing professional. Where’s the success? Which social media platform will spell it for me? Which strategy will work the best? This giant did this but the other one did the exact opposite and both went viral. Confused? Let us decode the M in Tech for you.

Let’s get to the main point first.

The Main Focus

It is not in the ‘what’ and ‘where’ you begin your campaign but in the ‘how’. We already know this but when it comes to current happenings in the marketing world, we completely forget this. Some might argue YouTube is outdated and IGTV is the new lasting trend, others will call YouTube the stepping stone to success. Let’s get rid of the herd mentality.

For instance, if the world is leaving Twitter behind and going all out on TikTok, should you too? If you’re a fitness brand that wants to showcase how cool the new treadmill meter is then yes but if you’re a pharmaceutical company who wants to talk about the importance of chlorine in swimming pools, then maybe not. You get the point, don’t you? While the whole world is saying a ‘no’ to Twitter and you’re a media company churning out fresh news stories by the hour, would you go with the world? If you do, I’m afraid you’d be losing out on thousands of people who are your REAL audience.

Follow Your Audience

Technology enables you to perform and deliver in so many directions, you’re literally spoilt for choice but what choice you make is not based on the abundance of technology that you have in your box but the one that will make you stand out of it. Follow the technology that your audience follows. Period. Market your products and services in a format that your audience consumes the most. If it is videos, create fantastic and visually appealing videos that add value and put them on YouTube, TikTok and Facebook. Make use of IGTV’s vertical format. If it is static images, make them interactive and appealing and create a campaign for Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook. If textual content does the best job for you, get on your Twitter now. Use Tumblr to build a community and lure them to your website.

The How

You see the opportunities there? There’s an unbelievable amount of things you can do on the social media side of tech but more than ‘where’ you do what you do, it’s about how you do it too. While we did talk about the ‘where’, it is time to talk about the ‘how’. Formats are very important to understand when it comes to digital marketing. An infographic might create a ‘wow’ factor on Pinterest and drive traffic to your website but it might not be an option for Twitter. Animated GIFS might be good for Instagram and Twitter but not the best for Pinterest or Tumblr. So much happening here? Confused again? Let’s simplify it for you.

When you’re building your digital marketing strategy, here’s how you go about it.

  • Define your audience
  • Define the social platforms best suited for your products/services (forget the herd mentality)
  • Define the formats best suited for the social platforms you choose.

That’s how simple it really is. What will create an impact will be your brand message and the way you communicate with your audience. Technology will keep throwing new apps and social platforms at you but you need to follow the above steps to keep simplifying things for you as a marketer. Keep filtering everything new in order to not get carried away. Use new tech platforms wisely and build your digital strategy without hiccups. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on new stuff and while you do that, don’t forget what your brand is all about!

Kriti Kharbanda Flaunts Her Gaming Quotient Like A Pro!

Interviewed | August 2018

Although she has just begun her journey in Bollywood, Kriti Kharbanda is already a star down South where she has been working for 9 long years. From ‘Boni’ in 2009 to now, ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ and ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’ in 2018, this Delhi girl has come a long way. In an exclusive chat with Exhibit Magazine, the beautiful Kriti Kharbanda is all heart for gaming and flaunts her gaming quotient like a player!

Ex: What do you think about the ever-changing gaming scenario in India?
KK: Gaming is more serious than it used to be. When we were kids, we used to play video games just for fun. But now it can be a serious profession as well. My friend is a professional gamer now. He gets paid to test games (laughs). So yeah it has changed in more ways than one. We had parents telling us not to play video games as there is no future in it. But now they cannot say that as it is a great source of income.
It takes a lot of courage to actually give up everything else and do something in this regard.

Ex: Which is that one mobile game that you are addicted to?
KK: You know when Candy Crush had come, I was really addicted to it. Then I remember I used to love Pokemon Go as well. Whenever I used to travel for work or when I was bored, collecting Pokemon was my big-time high. In fact, my mom made me quit as I was that into it.

Ex: Have you ever played PUBG?
KK: Yes, I am currently addicted to this game. I started playing it because it was trending all over. The best part about PUB G is that you can play with a real person, unlike other games.

Ex: What is your preferred gaming platform? – Console (PlayStation, WII), PC or Mobile?
KK: My PS4 and I are best buddies. My brother got me addicted to it as we both sit and play FIFA together.  Something I am really excited about. Sometimes on a day off you really want to be lazy on the couch but at the same time, you do want to keep your mind occupied. So this is like the best way to go about things. So the answer would be the console.

Ex: Tell us about the first game that you ever played in your life.
KK: My first game was Super Mario.
I remember playing it with my brother when I was young. I always used to wait for my brother to die soon in the game so that I can play. He purposely used to take a lot of time.

Ex: Kriti And Tech: Tell us about your relationship with technology.
KK: I am totally into technology. As I loved gaming and I was always curious to know about the new gadgets that have come into the market. I  like to keep myself updated about certain electronic accessories including mobiles, AirPods, speakers, etc.
Ex: How does technology help you ease your life on a daily basis?
KK: I think technology has evolved over the years and it certainly plays a major role in everyone’s lives, especially if you consider women safety in today’s time, it’s pretty much sorted, in terms of security cameras installed at almost every public place.
Ex: Do you agree that the future is all about technology?
KK: Yes, we are rapidly moving into a progressive and an advanced technology world. Sometimes, it feels that the world is at your feet, with everything you need is at your disposal, all thanks to the technology.
Ex: Any message to our gamer audience?
KK: I love the concept of gaming awards as I feel that gamers in India need more encouragement and motivation. So thank you Exhibit for coming up with ‘India Gaming Awards’. All my best wishes to the gamers and the events. I am sure it’s gonna be a super hit!

Arjun Kapoor Continues To Maintain A Cinematic Legacy

Interviewed | May 2014

His brooding eyes stole hearts of many a young girls when he just stepped into the business. While Arjun Kapoor has done a series of toughie roles, somewhere everyone still knows that he is gentle; that he doesn’t boil, he simmers. And that simmering is ineffable.

Coming from a family that is full of names Bollywood is proud of, Arjun Kapoor leaves no stone unturned and continues to maintain the legacy. In a one-on-one with Exhibit, Arjun reveals to us a side we never saw. The techie side.

While Arjun Kapoor is riding high on success with 2 States, he dismisses his contribution saying, “While I’m glad people appreciated my performance, the movie’s success excites me more than my success. It is a great feeling to know that people have accepted the movie and that it was seen a source of wholesome entertainment.”
Being one of the most sought after actors from the new crop, he is one of those actors who started working behind the cameras before they changed sides.
“My first assignment was with Dharma Productions and I was the 6th AD (Assistant Director) on Kal Ho Na Ho. I was basically the one behind the making of the movie; if you go back and watch it, they have even included my name as its Director which was really sweet of them. I got paid ` 3,000 for it and after deducting the tax, it was somewhere close to 2,700”, he ends with a laugh.
This was followed by assisting Director Nikhil Advani on Salaam-E-Ishq and working as an Associate Producer on ‘No Entry’ and ‘Wanted’. Did that help him when he started his career as an Actor? “It did. In retrospect, I know it better as to why things happen the way they do; that if there are 300 people on the set, it is because they are needed. You understand the process and do not act like an outsider. I have been and would like to remain a part of this industry.”

And while the camera loves him, his aspiration also extends to Directing. He wants to be a part of the film making process by all means. But currently, he is on a journey of self-improvisation and wishes to give his best to everything he does. “With each thing one does, the benchmarks keep on raising. My first movie was with YashRaj and that was an achievement by itself. The more I do, the more I feel the urge to better it.”

One might consider him to be shy but he invests, almost preserves, himself for those he loves the most. And Arjun’s love for his mother, Late Mona Kapoor, his Sisters Anshula, Sonam and Rhea and mentor Salman Khan is widely known of. He elaborates, “I think I’ve spoken for Salman bhai a dime a dozen times – of how he has been an emotional support to me and my family and how he has inspired and motivated me and helped me believe in myself. As for my sisters, Anshula, my real sister, is someone who I need all the time. She is that person who I am closest to right now.

As for Sonam, she’s more like a friend. We have the same set of friends since we were in the same school and bond at the same level. We care a lot for each other. As for Rhea, she’s extreme. If ever I need an honest opinion and a critique for my work, she’s there. She is like my mirror. She’s a bohemian. There are times when she will stay away from everyone but she jumps into action whenever I need her. Like the other day I told her that I’ll be shooting and she came with 6 bags of clothes… that’s how she expresses her love.”
There are various shades to Arjun – at times he goes all out in explaining himself and at others, he thinks some matters are “too personal to discuss.” Giving a miss to all such topics, we ask him about his role in his upcoming movie, Finding Fanny. “It’s a Homi Adjania movie so you can expect a complete Homi kind of humour; somewhere on the lines of Being Cyrus. It’s an English-Konkani movie and my co-stars are Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Dimple Kapadia, Deepika Padukone.
Unlike all the roles I’ve played in the past for all the commercial movies, I play the role of Savio Fernandes who is a mechanic and the only one amongst the lot who knows how to drive. All of them are on a road trip to find Fanny, who Naseeruddin Shah is deeply in love with and only realizes a little too late, after 40 years. So it is about the discoveries and revelations that take place while all are together and about what eventually happens. It’s releasing on the 14th of September”, he ends with a smirk.
Arjun Kapoor – Up and Close!
  • Car that you drive?
Mercedes’ Limited Edition ML 350 CDI. That’s how they sold it to me!
  • One habit you want to change?
I bite my nails and fidget a lot with my hair, too. These are two habits I want to change.
  • A word that describes you the best?
    Pragmatic.
  • How do you unwind?
Sleep. With the kind of things I have at hand right now, it is something that I really need.
  • Could you tell us about your love for gadgets? Which are your must have gadgets and what apps do you use the most?
Phone is something that goes without saying. Since I love watching movies whenever I have time at hand, I have a huge DVD collection and love sticking around with my Blu Ray. PS4 is an indispensable part of this list and my love for it never dies.
Currently I’m always on it because of FIFA’14. Also, I always need a trimmer in order to maintain my stubble. Since, I have a tendency to get addicted to things too soon, I have deactivated my Apple account, otherwise all I will do is download apps.  I don’t have an iPhone for the same reason.
  • Any gadget that you bought and regretted?
I had an iPad that I later replaced with an iPad Mini and frankly there was nothing different about it. I’m finally using the Mini, but I was like ‘What the hell!’
  • If you were to invent an app for convenience or luxury, which one would that be?
A Time machine… I think it’s high time we get one; plus, I’d like to get a phone that walks with me… on a practical level, that is. One that can read my mind, dial numbers of people who I am thinking of, text what I want to… Just so that I don’t have to carry it.
  • The next gadget that you want to invest in?
I don’t know if you could consider it as a gadget, but it would be the Jukebox that you can connect to your iPhone. It’s already available abroad and I’m waiting for it to arrive in India.
  • If you could write a biography of one person, who would that be and what would it be called?
My father. It’d be nice to spend some time with him and interesting to know him. I’ll call it ‘My Father’… as simple as that. The title speaks for itself.
  • What is the most expensive thing you have ever purchased online?
I mostly purchase a lot of plain tees and Blu Ray DVDs online. But recently, I purchased Alexander McQueen Shoes worth ` 90,000 and I’ve not even used it until now.
  • If you were to get into a tech related profession, which one would that be?
I would be a Car Designer. That’s some cool profession to be in! And this, I say, after watching Rush. I would like to design a Ferrari. Also Read:

Samsung Galaxy S20 – The Near Perfect Phone

With all the outrage against Chinese manufactured phones, the market is ready to welcome phones with other countries of origin. When the market was dominated by Chinese phones in low, mid and high range sections – it was increasingly difficult for other brands to compete.

Let see how the Korean brand has delivered its proposition to change Indian mentality of – Cheap and Best.

Albeit, not as impressive as its variant Galaxy S20 Ultra – this phone is powerful with ergonomic and attractive design. With the introduction of new features like 5G and 120Hz display this phone is something that looks promising.

Quick Facts with Pros & Cons and General Opinion

Pros

  • Fantastic display
  •  Strong camera performance
  •  Lots of power and 5G-ready

Cons

  •  Price on the higher side and have good alternatives.
  • Does not support all 5G networks

Marketed as a 5G phone, it is cheaper than  Galaxy S20 Ultra. With a sleek 6.2-inch screen and fast 120Hz refresh rate, 5G download speeds , high-spec 108 MP camera, and a big battery to boot, this phone has a novelty element in the features.

Chipset

This phone is equipped with a powerful new chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 (based on your country) as well as either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, depending on whether you buy the 4G or 5G phone. If you’re in the US you’ll get Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 865 chipset, while the rest of the world gets Exynos 990. As for India, the Exynos 990-powered S20, is powerful enough to do everything whether that’s playing games or loading apps quickly.

When compared with S10, this newly launched handset has a multi core score of 2699 while the S10 5G from 2019, returned an average result of 2197, and the OnePlus 7T Pro, scored 2584. These scores won’t mean a lot for the average user, but it’s a positive result for the Galaxy S20.

The 5G variant comes with 12GB of RAM while the 4G version has 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy S20 is running Android 10, the latest and greatest version of Google’s operating system. Samsung’s indigenous One UI looks different to the software you may have used on other Android phones that aren’t made by Samsung, but the design is attractive and it’s easy to use.

Camera

Let’s talk about the camera. Perhaps one of the USPs of the phone is the camera. With an embedded triple camera on the rear the picture and video quality have been improved (including increased pixel sizes to improve night time photography by allowing more light in), and there are also a few software tweaks to improve the overall experience.

A major upgrade from the predecessor Galaxy S10, the telephoto lens allows you to shoot high quality 3x optical zoom or 30x digital zoom. The 12 MP main camera has an f/1.8 aperture.

However, there is an increase in the size of individual pixels here, from 1.4 microns to 1.8 microns. There’s also a new 64MP telephoto camera, which is a huge upgrade over last year’s 12MP telephoto camera.

Battery life

Being a 5G supported device, Samsung  Galaxy S20’s battery consumption is humongous. Hence, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S20 with a 4,000mAh power pack, a notable increase over the 3,400mAh capacity on the S10. Galaxy S20 has a solid battery life that will easily see you through a full day of typical use. However, when the phone was used with a high brightness and the 120Hz refresh rate turned on.

With fast charging from 0-100% in less than an hour, using the optimum display should not be looked down upon provided you are using a high end phone. While the 15W wireless charging is not as fast as the wired variety it’s always a useful option to have.

Final Words

With new improved battery life, chipset and camera this phone is a near perfect phone as suggested in the title. You can buy this phone if you want to be futureproofed in terms of connectivity. It’s not something that’s essential for most users right now, but it’s something you’re likely to appreciate as 5G networks become more ubiquitous.

2. Augmented ‘Lifestyle’ Coach

Well, we live in a world of life coaches. It is such a relief to have someone help us through tough times in our businesses, relationships and our overall life as a human being. What more could a life coach do in the future? They could make this fancier and more appealing by adding a touch of ‘tech’ to their jobs. Well, by using augmented reality and being an expert at that, this augmented ‘lifestyle’ coach will be able to connect his/her clients to suitable brands, events and more. Moreover, the lifestyle coach will also ensure new AR experiences for his/her clients from time to time in order to enhance their lives further and set them apart from their peers. To qualify for this, the person must have an AR lifestyle coach certificate with a proven track record in enhancing the clients’ lives using AR.

3. Head of Empathy

Oh well. We have been listening to this word for more than a year now and it does make sense. We already need more empathy in our lives every day, especially at work and as technology progresses, we can expect the flip side of it all to create more aggravated situations. We will need someone or maybe a team to manage all the emotional outburst that happens. Since we will be working with robots too, this will become even more important. To work towards a common goal, robots and humans not only need to understand each other better but also need to be able to work together without any hiccups. That’s the responsibility of an empathy officer! If you’re a people’s person or a ‘robot’ person then you’re surely going to like this one.

Some of the Fascinating Predictions in Science Fiction That Came True

4. Robot manager

While what we saw in point number 3 was about managing people and leading with empathy, this one is the other side of the coin. Imagine a workplace where 50% of the population is robots. How do you operate all of them and manage them to ensure that there’s no chaos and mismanagement of work? You most definitely will need a robot manager who will specialize in not only operating various types of robots but will also be skilled at managing them all when they’re working together. Now whether humans are better to manage or robots, only time will tell. Until then, we can only hope that this unique job profile crops up on our LinkedIn profiles one day and we can interact with the robot manager to figure out how the jobr really is. Would you want to be that person?

5. AI and AR astrologer

I don’t know about other countries but India, as we know, is obsessed with astrology. We all are always eager to know about the future and astrologers here have made a fortune for themselves whether they’ve helped anyone else to do the same or not, is something we will never know. In the future, you can expect astrologers to use AI and AR in order to sharpen their skills further. They can use AR to showcase the future vividly to the client so that he/she can ‘live’ the experience beforehand and decide on remedies, if need be. AI will be used by astrologers to make faster calculations in charts and match up with other charts in no time to draw comparisons. The astrologer can then say ‘with proof’ that his client is more successful than his competitor according to the comparison of charts. Hmmmm. Would you want to predict what’s in the stars with an AR equipped tool? Think about it!

With so many different options, it can be so hard to choose right now but if you’re in a job that’s in danger because of AI, you’d better start thinking. If you don’t, you might need an empathy manager or AI astrologer to console you soon!

Want a free Harley Davidson? Just purchase this watch!

Sometimes it is necessary for you to match your wrist watch to your vehicle. While most owners make do with aesthetic similarities, Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer has taken it one step ahead. Collaborating with American motorcycle manufacturer Harley Davidson, the company has created the ‘Bucherer Blue’ watch.

The watch is based on the manufacturer’s Patravi TravelTec II and gets a rose gold finished case with a black bezel and a blue face. Its front has a sapphire anti-reflective face while its back sports a transparent window. Its rubber strap is also designed as a tyre tread. The watch runs on CFB 1901.1 calibre automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. Apart from the hour, minute and second dials, it also shows a date counter and three different time zones.

The owner of this watch will probably get the world’s most expensive watch holder. It is a customized Harley Davidson Softail Slim S which is called the Blue Edition. It has two armoured glass domes inside its fuel tank, which hold the watch and a solitaire ring. The holder, which is insulated with silicone rings to absorb the motorcycle’s vibrations, also doubles up as a watch winder. This charges the watch while it is sitting in the box.

Harley Davidson roped in chop-shop specialists Bundnerbike to complete their project. The basis for this bike is the Harley-Davidson Softail Slim from 2017, which was rebuilt in detail. Even the smallest parts, including bolts, were made by hand and given a high-quality finish. The wheels were specially designed for the Blue Bike, and the saddle is also hand-stitched – made in Switzerland.

The motorcycle is also embedded with heat-resistant LEDs on the inside that illuminate the various gold-plated components of the motorcycle. The tank doubles up as the watch holder, as well as the holder of a six-prong solitaire ring with a 5.4 carat diamond.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged and carries forward its 107cu.in. (1753cc) V-twin engine that makes 92HP of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Patrick Graf, Chief Commercial Officer at Bucherer says, “We are delighted to be able to take advantage of our many years of experience and our close relationships with our partners to create exquisite, one-of-a-kind watches and products as part of the Bucherer BLUE collection, which are available for purchase exclusively at Bucherer.”

The iridescent paint job of the motorcycle was achieved after an elaborate process of silver plating the motorcycle completely. It was then painted with six coats of different colours, that has resulted in the rich, deep blue colour.

As expected, this luxury comes with an incredible price of Rs 15 crore (when converted) of which almost Rs 12 crore go towards the costing of the motorcycle, making it the most expensive one in the world! Still, Rs 3 crore for a wrist watch is quite a fancy deal, don’t you think? Naturally, it is safe to assume that the Harley Davidson Softail S Blue Edition will definitely not be an everyday sight.
