In a highly anticipated launch from the biggest tech giant, Apple unveiled its iPhone 17 lineup. The keynote, filled with surprises and refinements, showcased not only evolutionary smartphones but also an upgrade to the ecosystem, including refreshed wearables and audio gear. As we watched the future unfold on stage, it was clear that Apple is committed to seamless integration, health technology, and premium experiences.

    AirPods Pro 3

Apple kicked off the event with a bang by introducing the AirPods Pro 3, the third generation of its flagship wireless earbuds designed to deliver “the ultimate audio experience.” These earbuds feature a slightly updated design that is sleeker and more ergonomic, providing an exceptional in-ear fit for all-day comfort.

The highlight of this new model is the next-generation H3 chip, which enhances audio processing for richer, more immersive sound that makes you feel like you’re sitting front-row at a concert.

One of the most impressive advancements is the upgraded Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), now claimed by Apple to be the “world’s best in-ear” system. It adapts in real time to your surroundings, effectively blocking out everything from subway rumbles to office chatter, with double the effectiveness of the previous model.

Battery life has also improved, offering up to 6 hours of playback (9 hours with ANC off) along with a new charging case that supports wireless charging and features a built-in speaker for Find My alerts. Priced at ₹25900, the AirPods Pro 3 are more than just earbuds; they are a gateway to Apple’s audio ecosystem.

    Apple Watch SE 3

Shifting our focus to the wrist, Apple has not overlooked the everyday user with the Apple Watch SE 3, which is now more capable than ever, starting at a wallet-friendly price of ₹25900. This third-generation entry-level smartwatch sheds its “budget” label by incorporating premium features from its higher-end siblings, making advanced health tracking accessible without compromise.

The significant upgrade? An Always-On display that keeps the time and notifications visible at a glance, powered by the new S10 chip for improved performance and efficiency. Fast charging is another advantage, providing 80% battery life in just 45 minutes, so you can get it back on your wrist sooner than ever. The real magic lies within the health features: sleep apnea detection and retrospective ovulation estimates are now included, along with a new Sleep Score that analyzes your rest quality overnight. Intuitive gestures, such as double-tapping for quick actions and flicking your wrist to scroll, add a touch of flair, while upgraded sensors offer ECG readings, blood oxygen monitoring, and irregular heart rhythm notifications.

    Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11, starting at ₹46900, refines its design with subtle yet impactful upgrades. Available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, it retains the sleek look of the Series 10, but features a brighter LTPO3 OLED display that can reach up to 2,000 nits for improved visibility in sunlight. The new S11 chip enhances efficiency, promising a 10% improvement in battery life, which translates to approximately 20 hours of mixed usage.

One of the notable new features is the blood pressure monitoring capability, which tracks hypertension over time rather than providing exact readings, alerting users to consult healthcare professionals if necessary. Running on watchOS 26, the Series 11 introduces the AI-powered Workout Buddy for personalized fitness coaching, along with a wrist-flick gesture for quick controls, such as muting calls.

While the Series 11 does not include satellite connectivity (which is reserved for the Ultra 3), cellular models support 5G, ensuring faster and more reliable connections. With new colour options and refined aesthetics, the Series 11 stands out as a polished powerhouse for everyday use.

    Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Apple Watch Ultra 3, starting at ₹89900, is the ultimate rugged companion for adventurers. It features a tougher titanium chassis and a sapphire crystal display, making it suitable for extreme conditions. Powered by the S11 chip, the watch boasts a bright 3,000-nit display that remains readable even in harsh sunlight, and its battery life extends to 36 hours (or 72 hours in low-power mode).

New additions include satellite connectivity for off-grid communication and advanced dive metrics, allowing for underwater exploration up to 100 meters, making it a dream device for divers. Health enhancements mirror the Series 11’s capabilities, including blood pressure monitoring and sleep apnea detection. Additionally, a new topographic mapping mode enhances outdoor navigation.

    Apple iPhone 17

At the core of the event is the iPhone 17, Apple’s refined version of the standard model that expertly balances power, price, and design. Starting at ₹82900, this 6.3-inch device features slimmer bezels that create a more immersive edge-to-edge display, which is now brighter and more vibrant due to LTPO technology that reaches a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The introduction of under-display Face ID eliminates the notch, providing a cleaner look while maintaining top-level security.

When it comes to the camera, the iPhone 17 does not disappoint. It boasts a 48MP main sensor paired with a 12MP 2x telephoto lens. The camera is positioned similar to the previous generation iPhone 16. Powered by the A19 chip (non-Pro variant), it smoothly manages multitasking and advanced Apple Intelligence features, including on-device Siri enhancements. The iPhone 17 isn’t revolutionary, but it is consistently excellent.

The Newly Unveiled iPhone 17 Air

The iPhone Air is making waves as the standout “new kid” in the lineup. This impressively thin model measures just 6mm and reimagines the traditional smartphone form factor. With a 6.6-inch display and a resolution of 1,260 x 2,740, it offers a larger screen while remaining lightweight and portable, ensuring ample screen real estate without sacrificing convenience.

Battery life is another highlight of the iPhone 17 Air, thanks to its efficient internal design and the eSIM-only configuration, which allows for a slimmer build. Users can expect up to 20 hours of mixed usage on a single charge. The camera setup mirrors that of the standard iPhone 17 but is arranged in a more compact vertical stack, designed to enhance everyday photography rather than professional-level zoom. This model is more than just a variation; it’s Apple’s bold statement on minimalism.

iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the iPhone 17 Pro, priced at ₹134900, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max, priced at ₹149,900, which reflects a slight increase. These devices are designed to push boundaries in every way. Both models are powered by the A19 Pro chip and come with 12GB of RAM, ensuring lightning-fast performance. They feature vapour chamber cooling to manage heat during intensive tasks and boast the brightest display yet, reaching up to 2,500 nits.

The distinctive rectangular camera bump on the Pro Max houses a triple 48MP camera system, which includes a wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and tetraprism telephoto lens with 8x optical zoom. This setup allows for professional-grade video recording in 8K and computational photography that rivals dedicated cameras.

New colours, such as orange and copper, add a stylish touch to the frame. Additionally, the anti-reflective coating and improved responsiveness of Dynamic Island enhance user experience. In terms of battery life, these models offer the best performance yet, with the Pro Max lasting over 30 hours.

With upgrades that include Wi-Fi 7 and under-display technology, these devices are more than just phones; they are powerful tools for creativity and productivity.
