Samsung has officially teased a new privacy-focused feature called Zero Peeking Privacy, expected to debut with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series at the February 25 Galaxy Unpacked event.

The feature aims to protect users from “shoulder surfing” by limiting what nearby people can see when someone is using their phone in public.

Here’s everything we know so far.

What Is Samsung’s Zero Peeking Privacy Feature?

Samsung’s upcoming privacy system adds an extra visibility control layer to the phone’s display. Instead of locking the entire device, it allows users to:

    • Hide sensitive messages
    • Conceal password fields
    • Blur notification previews
    • Instantly black out the full screen with one toggle

In teaser videos, the screen remains clearly visible when viewed directly but darkens significantly when seen from an angle. This ensures privacy without affecting the primary user experience.

Samsung says the feature combines both hardware and software innovations developed over several years to balance privacy with usability.

Reports suggest that this feature may debut exclusively on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and might not be available on the standard Samsung Galaxy S26 or Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus models.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026: Event Details

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series will launch at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026.

    Event Details:

    • Date: February 25
    • Location: San Francisco
    • Time: 11:30 PM IST
    • Livestream: Samsung Newsroom and official YouTube channel

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: What to Expect

Beyond privacy upgrades, the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to focus heavily on camera improvements and refined design.

Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus are tipped to feature:

    • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 chipset (market dependent)
    • 50MP primary camera
    • 12MP ultra-wide lens
    • 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS
    • 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display
    • Qi2 wireless charging support

    Battery expectations:

    • 4,300mAh (S26)
    • 4,900mAh (S26 Plus)

Design leaks suggest subtle refinements with a refreshed camera module while retaining last year’s aesthetic.

Galaxy S26 Ultra: Major Camera Power

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to bring more noticeable upgrades, including:

    • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor
    • 200MP primary sensor
    • 50MP ultra-wide camera
    • 50MP telephoto lens
    • 12MP 3x telephoto lens
    • 5,000mAh battery

Reports also suggest a slightly redesigned camera housing and more rounded edges. The S Pen is said to be refined to better match the new frame design.

    Pre-Reservation Details in India

Samsung has opened pre-reservations for the upcoming Galaxy devices via the Samsung India Store.

    • Refundable token amount: Rs 999
    • Assured voucher worth Rs 2,699
    • Additional benefits of up to Rs 50,000

This indicates Samsung is expecting strong demand for the Galaxy S26 lineup.

Why Zero Peeking Privacy Could Be a Game Changer

With rising concerns about digital privacy, especially in public spaces like metros, offices, and cafes, Samsung’s Zero Peeking Privacy could offer a practical solution.

    If implemented well, it may:

    • Reduce risk of sensitive data exposure
    • Offer flexible visibility controls
    • Set a new standard for smartphone privacy

All eyes are now on February 25 to see how Samsung officially presents this feature and whether it becomes exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
