BenQ today inaugurated what’s claimed to be India’s first exclusive monitor brand store at Mumbai’s iconic Lamington Road. Opened in partnership with Nexus Infosys, the new experiential store is designed to address a gap in India’s consumer electronics market, where monitors have traditionally received limited retail visibility despite growing demand from professionals, gamers and creators.
Unlike conventional electronics stores that largely prioritise televisions, BenQ’s new outlet is entirely dedicated to monitors. The company believes the format will help consumers better understand the differences between specialised displays, which often cater to vastly different user requirements despite appearing similar on paper.

The store showcases BenQ’s complete monitor lineup across eight distinct categories, organised by user profile rather than technical specifications. Visitors can experience dedicated displays for designers, content creators, esports athletes, professional gamers, programmers, Mac users and home-office professionals. BenQ says this user-first approach reflects how modern consumers choose monitors based on workflow requirements rather than refresh rates or screen sizes alone.

According to Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India and South Asia, the monitor category has long lacked a dedicated retail environment where customers can properly compare technologies such as colour-accurate panels, coding-focused displays or esports monitors. He noted that hands-on demonstrations are essential for understanding the value proposition of specialised displays and that the new store is intended to bridge that gap.
Among the highlights are BenQ’s professional design monitors with Pantone-validated colour accuracy, ZOWIE esports displays featuring proprietary DyAc technology, purpose-built coding monitors with a 3:2 aspect ratio, and 5K displays tailored specifically for Mac users. The store also features entertainment-focused MOBIUZ gaming monitors and eye-care displays aimed at office users.
Located in one of India’s most influential IT hardware markets, the Lamington Road store is looking to serve as the first step in BenQ’s broader experiential retail strategy.
