Samsung Electronics America has officially announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Card, designed to provide users with a straightforward approach to earning cash rewards on their everyday purchases. The card offers enhanced cash rewards specifically for transactions made through Samsung, including purchases of the latest devices.

This marks Samsung’s foray into the credit card market, providing a new financing option for consumers who wish to reward themselves or gift others with Galaxy products. The Samsung Galaxy Card is issued by Barclays US Consumer Bank and operates on the Visa network. Starting July 22, 2026, prospective cardholders can apply online or in-person at any Samsung retail store in the United States. New users can also earn an additional $200 in bonus cash rewards after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days of account opening.

The Samsung Galaxy Card is available in both virtual and premium metal formats, featuring a distinctive black Samsung logo. Users can benefit from various cash rewards, including:
    – 5% cash rewards on eligible purchases made directly with Samsung.
    – 3% cash rewards on purchases through Samsung Wallet.
    – 2% cash rewards on streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Spotify.
    – 1% cash rewards on all other purchases.

Additionally, cardholders will receive a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage, along with 5% cash rewards when purchasing or renewing a membership.

“We aim to enhance users’ daily lives with our products,” said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Samsung Electronics. “The Samsung Galaxy Card simplifies payments and provides substantial value to consumers.”

Integration with Samsung Wallet allows users to store the Galaxy Card alongside other compatible payment options, IDs, and digital keys. Samsung Wallet is designed to keep essential items easily accessible while ensuring security through Samsung Knox, an advanced on-device defense platform.

Denny Nealon, CEO of Barclays US Consumer Bank, noted the collaboration with Samsung exemplifies Barclays’ commitment to a partner-first strategy. “We’re creating seamless, rewarding digital banking products that integrate into customers’ everyday lives.”

Kirk Stuart, SVP of North America Enablers at Visa, commented on the partnership, highlighting the need for embedded payment solutions within digital experiences. He emphasized that the Samsung Galaxy Card offers both rewards and the security necessary for modern commerce.

Eligible early access customers can apply for the Samsung Galaxy Card beginning today, with general public applications set to open on July 22, 2026. For more information, interested parties are encouraged to tune in to Galaxy Unpacked live on Samsung’s official website or their YouTube channel on July 22, starting at 6:30PM IST, for further updates regarding the Galaxy Z series and the complete Galaxy lineup.
