Oxford University Press (OUP) India has partnered with Canva. The two companies aim to bring design and digital creativity into computer science classes.
The partnership centres on OUP’s revised Keyboard series. Schools that adopt the series will get free access to Canva Education. Teachers and students can then use Canva’s design tools in class.
Canva-based projects will also appear in Keyboard and in OUP’s other computer science series, Reboot!, for Grades 3 to 8. Students will work with templates for presentations, logos, flyers, websites and social media content. OUP says these tasks help students apply lessons to real-world situations.

Keyboard is designed for Grades 1 to 8. It begins with basic digital productivity. It then moves on to Python, AI, machine learning, IoT, big data and AR/VR. The series follows India’s National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework.
Canva will also train teachers. It plans to run sessions and webinars for schools that use OUP’s books. The goal is to help educators lead design-based lessons.
