Nike and Mumbai Indians have announced a multi-year partnership that will see the sportswear brand become the official kit partner of the franchise’s men’s and women’s teams in India, beginning with the 2027 season.
Under the agreement, Nike will provide match kits, training apparel and sportswear for both teams, including their coaches and technical staff. The partnership also marks a significant step in Nike’s continued investment in cricket and its efforts to strengthen its presence in the Indian sports market.
Players and staff will begin wearing Nike team apparel this month, while the new kits for the men’s and women’s teams will be unveiled ahead of their respective 2027 seasons. Fans can also expect additional apparel collections inspired by Mumbai’s identity, energy and culture, with further details expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

According to Nike India General Manager Tarundeep Singh, Mumbai Indians’ ambition and ability to inspire the next generation of athletes were key factors behind the partnership. He added that the collaboration would focus on serving athletes, celebrating cricket and encouraging young players to pursue the sport.
Devang Bhimjyani, Head of Reliance Sports, said the partnership would build on Mumbai Indians’ identity as a franchise that extends beyond cricket. He highlighted the opportunity to connect sport and culture while taking the spirit of the team and Mumbai to fans around the world.
The partnership will also extend beyond the cricket field, with both brands planning products and storytelling initiatives that draw from Mumbai’s cultural identity. The aim is to connect the franchise with its fan community, known as the Paltan, through apparel that reflects the team’s Blue and Gold colours and the city it represents.
For Nike, the agreement reinforces its commitment to cricket in India, a market where the sport commands a substantial following. For Mumbai Indians, the collaboration brings a globally recognised sportswear brand into its men’s and women’s cricket programmes ahead of the 2027 season.
