Google has officially revealed the usage limits of its Gemini app, bringing long-awaited clarity to what free and paid users can expect. Until now, the details around Gemini’s usage caps were vague, but the company has finally broken down the features and restrictions for each plan.

This move not only helps users choose the right subscription but also sets clear expectations for AI chatbot, image generation, video creation, and research capabilities. Here’s a complete look at how the Free, Pro, and Ultra plans compare.

Google Gemini Free Plan: Basic AI Access

The Gemini Free plan offers a solid introduction to Google’s AI, but it comes with strict limits.

    • Prompts: Up to 5 per day using the Gemini 2.5 Pro model
    • Image generation: Maximum of 100 images daily
    • Audio summaries: Up to 20 per day
    • Deep Research reports: 5 per month, powered by the Gemini Flash model

This plan is perfect for casual users but is capped to prevent heavy usage.

Google AI Pro Plan: Expanded Features for Power Users

The Google AI Pro plan is designed for those who need more advanced tools and higher limits.

    • Prompts: Up to 100 per day with Gemini 2.5 Pro
    • Image generation & editing: Up to 1,000 images daily
    • Video creation: Up to 3 videos per day with the Veo 3 Fast model
    • Deep Research: Up to 20 reports per day using Gemini 2.5 Pro

Compared to the free plan, Pro users get significantly more flexibility for both creative and research needs.

Google AI Ultra Plan: Maximum Access for Professionals

At the top tier, Google AI Ultra unlocks the most powerful features:

    • Prompts: Up to 500 per day with Gemini 2.5 Pro
    • Deep Think model: Exclusive access with 10 expert reasoning prompts daily
    • Video creation: Up to 5 videos per day using the latest Veo 3 model
    • Deep Research: An impressive 200 reports daily with Gemini 2.5 Pro

This plan is ideal for professionals, researchers, and creators who rely heavily on advanced AI tools.

    What About Other Gemini Features?

Google has clarified that Canvas, Gems, and other non-listed tools remain available to most users, though limits could change in the future depending on server capacity.

    Final Thoughts

By disclosing the Gemini app’s usage caps, Google has given users a transparent view of what each plan delivers. Whether you’re a casual user on the free tier, a creator using Pro, or a professional relying on Ultra, you can now make an informed choice based on your needs.
