Last year, during the Chennai floods, insurance companies were dumbfounded by insurance claims in excess of 3000 crore.
This came as a result of various car owners with different water damage inflicted on their engines, electrical wiring, exhausts, etc.
While floods are rare, even regular monsoon rains lead to great damage to cars.
What Exactly are These Camps?
This year, from 6th to 20th June, Tata Motors has launched a nationwide initiative of exclusive monsoon check-up camps across 500 cities and 1,090 service centres, ensuring that their customers can drive worry-free.
Free check-ups will be offered to all Tata Motors customers, and these check-ups will focus on thirty inspection points for various important systems of the car, because on the road, safety always comes first.
These monsoon camps also offer customers discounts on spare parts, engine oil, accessories, extended warranty, and labour charges.
They further offer a car top wash to ensure that your car looks as good as new.
The Benefits
This move alone helps Tata further stand out against the competition and urges car buyers to switch to Tata.
While meant to be free check-ups, these camps, if used correctly, could offer a qualitative and convenient solution for Tata car owners, ensuring that they can drive worry-free.

Good proactive move by Tata. Hope other car companies can learn from them and this becomes a standard practice in automobile industry.
