Got a gaming smartphone? Here’s how you can make the best use of it

Mobile phones have come a long way from being clunky pieces of metal and plastic to being the symbol cutting-edge technology and electronic performance. While almost every modern mobile phone share certain qualities, there are some who stand head and shoulders above the rest. These are smartphones that, apart from performing the usual functions, also double up as a portable console. Gone are the days when an avid gamer had to have multiple devices to play games to his heart’s content. So, if you are a gamer by heart, here’s how you can make the best use of your gaming smartphone.

1. Use the Gaming Mode

This one should be a no-brainer if you have purchased a gaming smartphone. While most phones have private modes to customize your notifications, the Gaming Mode does much more. It not only minimizes your notifications, but also optimizes your RAM and memory support. This gives a huge performance boost to your game and it can be played in a better resolution.

2. Keep your phone up-to-date

Smartphones are notorious for getting slow over time. However, companies keep sending over-the-air (OTA) updates to improve the phone and provide patches for your software. Though the phone notifies you in case of a new system update, it is always good to manually scroll through the settings and check for any system updates. This helps the gaming smartphone stay at the top of the game and offer the best performance.

3. Purchase a wireless controller

Modern games have evolved from 2D side-scrolling platformers to ultra-realistic 3D open worlds. Similarly, mobile gaming has also seen the shift from arcade games like Subway Surfer and Fruit Ninja to full-blown simulators and console ports. While almost all games can be played flawlessly using the touchscreen, the essence of some games is in the controller. Games like simulators, FPS or even some arcades perform much better and offer greater fun when played with a wireless controller. This controller can be connected to the gaming smartphone via Bluetooth and can be used to play multiple games. Some games offer inbuilt controller support, while others require an external key mapping software.

4. Consider using emulators

If you are an old-school gamer you might miss the days of Sony’s Playstation or Nintendo’s DS entertainment systems. Well, lucky for you, gaming smartphones have evolved to double up as your choice of console. No, you cannot insert your console’s disk in the phone, but you can play those games in another way. There are many emulators available on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store that offer console quality gaming on your smartphone. You can either opt for free ones like PPSSPP or go for paid ones like DraStic. The former one allows you to play any Playstation Portable (PSP) while the latter one runs Nintendo DS games. Emulators also let you play games that are otherwise unavailable on gaming smartphones, such as console exclusives.

Thus, you can make the best use of your gaming smartphone and optimize your gaming experience.

Facts about Quantum Computing that will blow your mind

When we study physics one thing that we are always told, is that it is definite. Either it can be something it or it cannot be. Right?

Wrong. As opposed to the Newtonian theory of light’s nature as a particle, in the late 19th century, Albert Einstein revived light’s wave nature. The nature of light as the wave was proposed by Huygens but was dismissed because of Newton’s reputation. However, later it was established that light is “both a particle and a wave”, its essential theory was further evolved from electromagnetics into quantum mechanics.

If you did not understand anything that’s written above just skip the jargons and read along with the wonderful manifestation of quantum physics in computing. Here is the simple definition of the concept behind Quantum Computing.

The data is stored in a computer in the Boolean form, i.e in sets of 0 and 1. All digital circuits that we have presently are all dependent on this Boolean concept of data storage. You can say that all the computer circuitry that we have today, understands boolean logic; that is the manifestation of data and information in 0s and 1s.

Quantum Computing challenges the present advances in digital electronics technology. Now data can exist in multiple bits, anything between 0 and 1.

Here is an example to illustrate it:

The lowest unit of memory is a bit. (Take it analogous to cell ‘the building block for the body’). A bit can be either 1 or 0. 8 bits make 1 byte. 1024 bytes as 1KB, 1024 KBs as 1 MB and so on. So for 1 byte, there can be 16 possible combinations in which data can be stored.

For quantum computers, the smallest unit of memory is called Quantum Bit aka Qubit. A qubit can exist in both states simultaneously (0 and 1), as well as many other states in between. Now as opposed to the traditional concept Qubits can hold much more data, that gives rise to faster parallel computing.

The future is very promising as computer scientists working on quantum computers believe that it will be possible to harness these mechanisms and build computers which will be millions of times more efficient than anything available today. Here are some of the real-world problems that Quantum Computers are expected to solve.

With a lot of businesses and transactions online, the last decade had seen a 100% increase in data breaches by nefarious hacker groups holding digital businesses hostage for ransoms. Quantum computers will revolutionize data security as we see today. Even though quantum computers would be able to crack many of today’s encryption techniques, predictions are that they would create hack-proof replacements.

Even though Quantum Computers is the thing for the future, don’t expect it to be a regular home use computer. The computers that we have now is not going to go anywhere or be replaced by Quantum Computers. In fact, classical computers are better at some tasks than quantum computers (email, spreadsheets and desktop publishing to name a few).

Given the faster processing speed, Quantum computers are great for solving optimization problems. From figuring out the best way to schedule flights at an airport to determining the best routes on Google Maps things will be more efficient. Recently, Google announced its indigenous quantum computer 100 million times faster than any classical computer in its available.

Now that you have a brief idea of what a quantum computer can do, let’s see what some of its advocates have to say about this.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO:

“The world is running out of computing capacity. Moore’s law is kinda running out of steam … [we need quantum computing to] create all of these rich experiences we talk about, all of this artificial intelligence.”

Seth Lloyd, author of Programming the Universe:

“A classical computation is like a solo voice – one line of pure tones succeeding each other. Quantum computation is like a symphony – many lines of tones interfering with each other.”

Jeremy O’Brien, a physicist at the University of Bristol:

“In less than 10 years quantum computers will begin to outperform everyday computers, leading to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, the discovery of new pharmaceuticals and beyond. The very fast computing power given by quantum computers has the potential to disrupt traditional businesses and challenge our cybersecurity.”

While the world is optimistic to revolutionize a lot of things by using Quantum Computers, building one is no less than a scientific conundrum.

With the sub-polar requirement of temperatures, Quantum computing requires extremely cold temperatures, as sub-atomic particles must be as close as possible to a stationary state to be measured. The cores of D-Wave quantum computers operate at -460 degrees f, or -273 degrees c, which is 0.02 degrees away from absolute zero. So don’t be surprised if the arctic and antarctic is the next destination to claim information supremacy

Apple-Google COVID-19 Tracker Can’t Be Used in India

Google and Apple came together in April and developed tech that will help governments around the world to reduce the coronavirus spread. It is called the Covid-19 exposure notification or Covid-19 contact tracing tech. After months of hard work, the technology is now ready and is available on iOS and Android.

What is this tech all about?

This new tech is available as an Application Programming Interface (API) for Android and iOS Smartphones. The tech is smart enough to let the Smartphones log other devices they come in the vicinity of and enables “contact tracing” of the disease. It can’t function on its own and needs a supplementary app to work.

How does this contact tracing API work?

A public health app needs to use the API developed by Google and Apple for the technology to function. The app sends and receives data from nearby devices and keeps a record of people one may have come in contact with and their Covid-19 status. The app updates all the data on cloud. It regularly runs scans to check and notify people if they have unknowingly come in contact with any Covid-19 positive person. Health agencies are also notified so that the person can be tested and the spread of the disease can be curbed.

Why doesn’t it work in India?

Unfortunately, the Aarogya Setu App doesn’t use Apple-Google API. It needs a device’s location access and Bluetooth access to be able to function. The problem is that the Apple-Google API doesn’t give permission to public-health apps to access location data and that’s why it can’t be used by the Aarogya Setu app.

Apps built on Apple-Google API use only Bluetooth while the Aarogya Setu App needs location access too in order to collect information. If we compare the two, the Aarogya Setu collects more data in terms of location and numbers. It also stores data on the user’s phone, uploading it under certain circumstances. However, the Apple-Google API uses DP-3T (Decentralized Privacy-Preserving Proximity Tracing) protocol. This assigns randomised and anonymous unique IDs. Since these IDs change often, the tech can pick up data of corona positive people without any disclosure of identity or location.

We would’ve been happy to explore the two together but due to limitations in tech compatibility, it seems like we won’t be able to use the new Google-Apple API in Arogya Setup for now.

Samsung Galaxy S20 – The Near Perfect Phone

With all the outrage against Chinese manufactured phones, the market is ready to welcome phones with other countries of origin. When the market was dominated by Chinese phones in low, mid and high range sections – it was increasingly difficult for other brands to compete.

Let see how the Korean brand has delivered its proposition to change Indian mentality of – Cheap and Best.

Albeit, not as impressive as its variant Galaxy S20 Ultra – this phone is powerful with ergonomic and attractive design. With the introduction of new features like 5G and 120Hz display this phone is something that looks promising.

Quick Facts with Pros & Cons and General Opinion

Pros

  • Fantastic display
  •  Strong camera performance
  •  Lots of power and 5G-ready

Cons

  •  Price on the higher side and have good alternatives.
  • Does not support all 5G networks

Marketed as a 5G phone, it is cheaper than  Galaxy S20 Ultra. With a sleek 6.2-inch screen and fast 120Hz refresh rate, 5G download speeds , high-spec 108 MP camera, and a big battery to boot, this phone has a novelty element in the features.

Chipset

This phone is equipped with a powerful new chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 (based on your country) as well as either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, depending on whether you buy the 4G or 5G phone. If you’re in the US you’ll get Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 865 chipset, while the rest of the world gets Exynos 990. As for India, the Exynos 990-powered S20, is powerful enough to do everything whether that’s playing games or loading apps quickly.

When compared with S10, this newly launched handset has a multi core score of 2699 while the S10 5G from 2019, returned an average result of 2197, and the OnePlus 7T Pro, scored 2584. These scores won’t mean a lot for the average user, but it’s a positive result for the Galaxy S20.

The 5G variant comes with 12GB of RAM while the 4G version has 8GB of RAM. The Galaxy S20 is running Android 10, the latest and greatest version of Google’s operating system. Samsung’s indigenous One UI looks different to the software you may have used on other Android phones that aren’t made by Samsung, but the design is attractive and it’s easy to use.

Camera

Let’s talk about the camera. Perhaps one of the USPs of the phone is the camera. With an embedded triple camera on the rear the picture and video quality have been improved (including increased pixel sizes to improve night time photography by allowing more light in), and there are also a few software tweaks to improve the overall experience.

A major upgrade from the predecessor Galaxy S10, the telephoto lens allows you to shoot high quality 3x optical zoom or 30x digital zoom. The 12 MP main camera has an f/1.8 aperture.

However, there is an increase in the size of individual pixels here, from 1.4 microns to 1.8 microns. There’s also a new 64MP telephoto camera, which is a huge upgrade over last year’s 12MP telephoto camera.

Battery life

Being a 5G supported device, Samsung  Galaxy S20’s battery consumption is humongous. Hence, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S20 with a 4,000mAh power pack, a notable increase over the 3,400mAh capacity on the S10. Galaxy S20 has a solid battery life that will easily see you through a full day of typical use. However, when the phone was used with a high brightness and the 120Hz refresh rate turned on.

With fast charging from 0-100% in less than an hour, using the optimum display should not be looked down upon provided you are using a high end phone. While the 15W wireless charging is not as fast as the wired variety it’s always a useful option to have.

Final Words

With new improved battery life, chipset and camera this phone is a near perfect phone as suggested in the title. You can buy this phone if you want to be futureproofed in terms of connectivity. It’s not something that’s essential for most users right now, but it’s something you’re likely to appreciate as 5G networks become more ubiquitous.

5 Ways Technology Will Change The World in The Next 5 Years

The fact that technology has been evolving the world rapidly for the last ten years is no news. From growing social media platforms and new job profiles to tech in medicine and space, everything is backed and fronted by tech. With the current happenings, faster disruption can be expected. Let’s take a look at what all can tech enable for us in the next five years.

1.AI led manufacturing

Thanks to COVID-19, the growth in AI led operations will grow manifold. Most companies that are primarily into building products will soon focus on and make use of cloud-based technologies to transform and present product and process data from manufacturing lines. In the next five years, this abundant data and the algorithms analyzing and processing it will enable manufacturing lines to deliver better output and enhance product quality. This will lead to a reduction in waste by half. We can then enjoy products of a much higher quality, that are also produced much faster and are available at a lower monetary and environmental cost.

2. New Age Computing

The age of quantum computing will begin. Through simulation of complex chemical reactions, newer advancements in drug development can be expected. Quantum chemistry calculations will help in achieving materials of desired properties and design. Imagine having better catalysts for the automobile industry that can help in reduction of emissions. Quantum computers will be able to remove the ‘trial and error’ method that pharmaceutical companies apply right now, which is time consuming and costly. A shorter product development cycle and a heavy reduction in the costs for R&D can then be expected.

3. 5G for the global economy

What we notice now the most as we sit in our homes and work through video conferencing is that poor quality networks are a hindrance. As we know, 5G networks can easily resolve this issue. Moreover, 5G will also revolutionize telehealth, telesurgery and ER services. From smart factories to real-time monitoring, 5G private networks can make this possible.

Imagine having self-driving bots! 5G will not only help with speed but also cut mobility costs greatly.

4. Robots in retail

Robotics is not new and has already been a boon for many industriesHowever, there are so many sectors like grocery retail that haven’t been tapped yet. A new robotics application called ‘microfulfillment’ is going to change that. This uses robotics at a hyper local level which will bring about a massive change in this gigantic industry. Higher productivity will result in positive returns in the online grocery business. Microfulfillment centers are currently located and used in real estate at the store level. They are 5-10% more cost effective than a physical store. Imagine the possibilities! The next 5 years are going to only spell growth for retail if robotics is to be incorporated.

5.Virtual and Physical spaces

The importance of tech in communication has been so apparent in times of Covid-19. The lockdown forced us to get in touch with our colleagues, friends and family with the help of video conferencing because of which we were able to understand that virtual can very much be the new physical. The progress of communicating like this is only going to increase with AI technology. The very thin  line between physical space and virtual space is now blurred and will remain so. From global events to world conferences, everything will have a digitized format to it. In such a scenario, data privacy will have to be given top priority. Data control and security will have to be worked on if this has to be made a norm and a reality in the next five years.

With so much advancement in tech in the near future, we can only hope for our lives to get simpler, better and more productive. How all of this will together impact our overall lifestyle is not clear. Everything has its pros and cons and we aren’t really thinking about the bad side yet. With all these, perks, should we?

Evolution of Marketing in Tech during COVID

All of us have been constantly talking about the impact of COVID in various industries. In this post, let’s read about the evolution of marketing in tech during the COVID-19 era. All we have seen are adverse effects albeit a few industries like online education, e-commerce, mobile apps and social media platforms have seen a growth. When we talk about tech, we know that’s the future and the good thing is that we already are in the future! With artificial intelligence slowly taking centre stage, being under control of our businesses is becoming easier. With all of this, there’s one thing where we want to spend the money right now and at the same time we don’t want to. Marketing. We need recall more than ever but do we have the funds? If we have the funds and if marketing is the priority, do we have the right ways, channels, communication methods to do it?

Not only the world has changed in terms of the economy and health but also in mindset and behaviour. How do you present yourself in front of someone who has no intention to buy right now, especially if you don’t fall under the category of ‘essential goods’. While so many tech brands suffer from figuring out the right way to communicate at the moment, some others have taken this opportunity to gain a new set of audience and to build more credibility. Honestly, it’s the way you perceive the situation and build a strategy on it. Let’s take a look at some of the tech brands and what have they been doing in the last few months to stay in their people’s minds.

1. Amazon

For years Amazon has been responsible for changing a buyer’s mindset, thereby changing their behaviour when it comes to online shopping. While for regular things such as books, household items, etc it was always the ‘go to’ app, lately it’s focus on groceries has given fruitful results. Initially where customers were apprehensive of buying grains and pulses from an app that has never done so before, today they’re not only buying groceries but are also trusting the giant for long term usage for the same. Insane. Isn’t it? They’ve also been focussing on promoting sellers who provide health and fitness products or services. After all, our well-being is of utmost importance in such times. We’d say, Amazon has been quick to make this happen and the communication to the consumer has been effective.

Take a look at how Amazon has been doing this via their social media platforms:

As you can see the introduction of ‘Wow Wednesdays’ is a great idea. Promoting OZiva that deals in natural and herbal products and focusing on wellbeing via special IG TV episodes has helped Amazon Garner attention. While these sessions also help the brand OZiva, at times like these, Amazon is in a complete win-win situation. Topics like fitness and mental health are sure to keep the customers interested for a long time to come and choosing social media to run ‘episodes’ that revolve around the same will keep the audience coming back.

Right. Now, it is best to make the most use of social media for all kinds of marketing. The benefits as we know are:

  1. You already have an audience.
  2. Lesser spends give you more reach.
  3. That’s where everyone is spending the most time right now.

Not only has Amazon picked the right channel but also the right products and messaging. The subject of wellness and fitness is something that is a universal favourite at the moment.

Here’s a few other essentials they’ve been focussing on and all the focus is on the things you can do at home right now.

We think this is a great way to communicate not only with your audience but also an opportunity to showcase all the essential products and services you offer to them during a phase like this. Directly shoving your products in the customer’s face right now is of no use. This is an ‘authentic’ way to show you care.

2. Audi

We know that the automobile industry has been negatively impacted but Audi’s communication to the audience is simple, concise and effective. While they can’t change the fact that the whole industry is going downhill, they’ve made sure that the message they give is positive and reassuring; focussing on the ‘journey’ ahead. They’re not losing hope and are holding on to their audience with comforting communication.

Take a look.

Their quick thinking drove them to create the MyAudi Connect App that lets you book services, know your trip history, get fuel updates and more!

The same Audi with a different messaging, offering an ‘app’ experience to all the customers. Very evolutionary and very quick.

3. Apple

Hasn’t Apple always done something unique that touches people’s lives and hearts? It has always had an ‘inclusive’ culture where it always has made efforts to be a part of its own community. With a human touch, Apple has never failed to impress it’s audience, despite all the controversies it has been a part of. With the lockdown during the pandemic, it’s no different. Here’s how they’ve been working on keeping everyone together and connected during ‘COVID times’.

#TheAtHomeSeries is the hashtag they’ve added to #ShotoniPhone when people are sharing their images. This, along with sharing the stories associated with those images is intriguing and uses ‘storytelling’ to captivate it’s audience.

Storytelling can never go wrong, especially in times like these where everyone is seeking a more authentic human connection. Marrying the art of storytelling that involves ‘at home’ activities with the impeccable quality images shot on iPhone is a brilliant idea. The images become a part of the story and build the much needed empathy and connection.

While all of these are just a few examples of how tech brands are perceiving the pandemic and using the opportunity to showcase a different kind of messaging, there are many who are trying their best to keep up with the times. However, survival will belong to those who ‘evolve’ with the times.

We Misunderstand Elon Musk’s interpretation of AI. But why?

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Elon Musk’s interpretation of AI is widely misunderstood.

You might want to call Elon Musk as someone who is a revolutionary inventor and one of the brightest minds in Silicon Valley, but when it comes to AI, he is pessimistic. However the same is not true for other technologies. In his speech at MIT in 2014, he called AI as ‘Humanities biggest existential threat’ and compared it with Frankenstein.

If you are someone who follows the tech entrepreneurs of the silicon valley, then you have definitely heard of the love-hate relationship of AI and Elon Musk. Before you completely brand him as anti-AI or Conservative, read below before forming a bias.

Being one of the early proponents of AI, Elon Musk is one of the first investors in DeepMind. He also set up the $1 billion OpenAI research lab. But what is it that makes him tweet things like, AI is more dangerous than nukes or WWIII, more dangerous than nukes.

Read why Microsoft is Replacing employees with AI

Being a critique of AI, Musk’s comments are not well received by AI researchers. According to them, Musk’s statement, “ AI will soon become just as smart as humans and said that when it does we should all be scared as humanity’s very existence is at stake.” is nothing short of ludicrous.

One of the AI researcher at a U.K university on the condition of anonymity said,

“I instinctively fall on dislike, because he makes up such nonsense, But then he delivers such extraordinary things. It always leaves me wondering, does he know what he’s doing? Is all the visionary stuff just a trick to get an innovative thing to market?”

After his investment in Deepmind and it being acquired by Google, he set up a new $1 billion AI research lab named OpenAI in Silicon Valley, which has a particular focus on AI safety.

He tweeted in September 2017 that, most likely AI could be the cause of Third World War as a response to Putin’s statement who said that the nation who leads in AI would be the ruler of the world.

And this might sound like something straight from a sci-fi movie, Musk’s eyes had fancied another deep-tech startup Neuralink. The start-up wants to merge people’s brains and AI with the help of a Bluetooth enabled processor that sits in the skull and talks to a person’s phone. In July 2019, the company said human trials would begin in 2020.

Now the question that might come to your mind, if he is so intimidated by the emerging technology, what makes him invest in AI?

The probable answer is, he wants to keep things closer which he thinks might pose risk to the existence of humankind. Maybe he is apprehensive of the fact that AI is turning humans into cyborgs and hence staying close to what he thinks is an ‘enemy’!

Top 3 Video Calling Apps

With the pandemic and the lockdown, so many new ways of working, working out, socializing and dating have emerged! Even though the way we do things have changed, our primary goal remains the same; no matter what ‘The Show Must Go On’. There are some really good guys that thought of some really good apps way before this pandemic was even a thing. These apps weren’t as much in use back then as they’re now. Thanks to the techies who had a vision of a solution when doomsday arrives.

Here we go with 3 apps that you absolutely need for meetings and socializing to save yourself from the clutches of a gloomy lockdown!

1. Zoom

Now there’s a very important meeting which can’t be postponed and the pandemic can be postponed too but Zoom is that place where there’s absolutely no need to postpone! It can be used for a call between friends and partners as much as it can for business meetings! It’s literally time to zoom in because the world is getting smaller more than ever.

Why choose Zoom?

  • It’s absolutely free to use.
  • No complicated processes.
  • Can be used on your phone, tab or on your laptop. Supported by Windows and Mac, both.
  • The screen sharing feature lets you work while you talk!
    Also allows local recording.

Keep in mind that:

Calls on the basic plan can be no longer than 40 minutes.

2.Skype

Here’s all the hype around Skype!

Microsoft has always been ahead of the times and Skype has been around for so long that most of you were probably yet to hit teenage when it was rolled out. One of the very first to execute the concept of video calling and screen sharing, Skype is that forgotten hero that has risen from the ashes again!

Why choose Skype?

  • Its been around for so long because of which the UI is familiar.
  • Available for up to 10-way calling!
  • Easy to connect and good video quality.

Keep in mind that:

Most of the advanced features are only available if you’ve taken up a premium subscription.

3. Google Meet

Wait what? One word that was important just got dropped. The journey from Google Hangouts Meet to Google Meet has brought about some improvements but hangouts was a cool word. Don’t you think?

Alright, so if you use a lot of Google apps (Most of us do), then this is going to be a cakewalk. You create a meeting in Google Calendar, your family, friends, colleagues or whoever was sent the email for this meeting gets the link. They only need to click the link and Voila! They’re on the screen!

Why choose Google Meet?

  • Its so well integrated with all your other Google apps that you won’t need to leave the call if you want to share a file from the drive or open an email while on call.
  • You can start a call directly from Gmail!
  • There’s a live captioning feature!

Keep in mind that:

Your dream to see a seamless video experience with Google Meet without the glitches and ungraceful transitions in a bad network environment is still just that, a dream. So, if the video quality is a huge deal for you, you might not enjoy your meet on Meet. Just saying.

Now all of these are good with minor shortcomings, of course. Which one you choose will depend on what’s your agenda, who the call is with and what you’re willing to compromise on when it comes to features. We are still in awe of how far technology has come. Look how we have touched the Sky(pe) and ZOOMed into a world beyond the world to (Google) MEET our goals.

TikTok is The Best Social Platform for THIS Reason

So what’s trending? That’s what everyone wants to know about, especially on TikTok. While a lot of you use it, the ones who don’t might possibly have some preconceived notions about it. By that we mean the ‘not very good’ notions. The platform has been judged by many and while that has been for all the right reasons, there’s something about TikTok that no other platform has. Let’s figure out what that is.

We have Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and the not-so-popular-anymore Twitter when we want to post content. We love to portray a specific image of ourselves in order to be ‘liked’, literally. Here’s why TikTok is the breath of fresh air amidst all the ‘good looking’ social media platforms.

  • It breaks stereotypes

Not only is the platform very unique with it’s 15 sec and 60 sec short video format but is also unique in its audience. It is open to ALL and the audience literally welcomes ALL. The platform is used as much by a rickshaw puller as is used by a doctor. It is used as much by a fitness model as is by those with imperfect bodies who promote a message against ‘body shaming’. While a lot of people are of the opinion that the platform is full of generation Z showing off their multicolored hair and grooving an odd move to a sexually explicit song, you need to dive in to actually see what the generation Z is actually doing. They’re promoting messages of anti-racism, love for the LGBTQ community and a lot more that we all can learn from. There’s no other platform that authentically breaks stereotypes without any pretence than TikTok.

  • EVERYONE is the audience

From 14 year olds to 80 year olds and everything in between can be seen doing their thing. There’s an audience for everyone because literally, everyone is the audience. This makes TikTok’s content very very broad and there’s always something for everyone. From makeup artists to phenomenally talented dancers from small villages in some corner of the world, everyone has a voice that can be heard by everyone. Isn’t that a really good thing?

  • EVERYONE is allowed to be who they are?

While there’s so much pretence and so much care taken about how you look and appear before you switch on your expensive DSLR to capture one picture for Instagram, TikTok audience doesn’t care. They only want to see good content. If you’re talented or have something good to offer, they don’t care how you look or if you’re rich or poor. That makes the platform free of judgement. Status, gender, appearance no bar. You’re free to be who you are and you’ll not be shamed but accepted with open arms. Makes you feel at home, doesn’t it?

  • The Talent you see will put your Judgements to Shame

While most platforms are about pictures and videos, the formats, sound effects, music and filters you see on TikTok allow you to do much more. So if you thought a Rashmi from Jaunpur can’t rap because ‘Does she even know English?’, you’re so wrong. This is one place where you’ll see so much talent from every corner of the world that it will urge you to showcase what you can do too! The energy and positivity is phenomenal.

These are the four major reasons why you should download TikTok and check it out. Now before you think ‘TikTok is for kids who want to show the new pair of red and yellow sneakers they bought’, read point number 3 again. It’s only when you put your judgement aside will you be able to see all that we just told you. After all, it’s not only unfair but also dangerous to live with assumptions!
