    CONS 👎

    • Ultrawide Limitations
    • Less Innovation

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ enters the crowded flagship smartphone market as an acceptable middle-ground option between the standard Galaxy S25 and the larger Galaxy S25 Ultra. A 6.7-inch display promises a premium experience tailored to users who crave a large screen without the heft of an ultra-premium model. My month-long journey with this device has revealed its strengths and weaknesses, offering a clear picture of what it brings to the table.

Key Specification of Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus

Samsung Galaxy S25+: The Middle Path?

    Design and Build

    Samsung Galaxy S25+ Rear Look

The Galaxy S25+ feels like a premium device from the moment you pick it up. As I noted early on, its size is perfect, neither too big nor too small. The 6.7-inch screen provides plenty of real estate for media and multitasking, yet the phone remains manageable for one-handed use. Weighing 190 grams and measuring 7.3mm thick, it’s comfortable to hold for extended periods. The flat aluminium frame paired with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both the front and back gives it a sleek, durable build, while the matte glass rear adds an elegant touch and resists fingerprints.

The design is minimalist yet striking, with slim bezels framing the display for a near-edge-to-edge look. The slightly rounded edges enhance grip, and the rear camera module houses three lenses in metal rings. It’s a phone that offers luxury and class, aligning with its flagship status and making it a joy to carry and use daily.

    Performance & AI

Performance is a standout feature of the Galaxy S25+. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, tailored for Galaxy devices, it delivers a buttery-smooth experience with no lags whatsoever. Whether I was switching between apps, playing graphics-intensive games, or streaming HD content, the phone handled everything effortlessly. The 12GB of RAM ensures multitasking is a breeze, and the processor’s efficiency keeps things responsive even under heavy use.

Samsung’s Galaxy AI enhancements add a layer of practicality to the experience. Features like real-time language translation, advanced photo editing, and system optimization integrate seamlessly, making tasks more efficient without feeling gimmicky. The vibrant display, with its perfect blacks and rich colours, further elevates the experience of watching videos or scrolling through photos is a visual treat.

    Samsung Galaxy S25+: Camera

    Samsung Galaxy S25+ Camera Review

The camera system on the Galaxy S25+ is a highlight, capturing accurate colours that reflect real-world scenes. The 50MP primary sensor delivers sharp, detailed shots, with some adding some oversaturation. Paired with a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto lens, it offers versatility for wide landscapes and zoomed-in portraits. While the ultrawide lacks autofocus, limiting its use for close-ups, it performs well for more general shots.

Low-light photography benefits from AI enhancements, producing brighter, clearer images with minimal noise. The 12MP front camera, with autofocus, ensures selfies are crisp and well-lit. Video capabilities are robust, supporting 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps, making it a solid creator choice. While not a groundbreaking leap from its predecessors, the camera system is reliable and impressive for everyday photography.

    Samsung Galaxy S25+: Battery

    Samsung Galaxy S25+ Side

Battery life in the Galaxy S25+ is better than that of the compact Galaxy S25, as it has a 4,900mAh capacity and underperforms compared to expectations and competitors. Moderate usage like browsing, streaming, and occasional gaming drained 70% of its battery over a full day. In contrast, my previous OnePlus 12 only lost 40-50% under similar conditions. The Snapdragon 8 Elite’s efficiency helps, but not enough to offset the power demands of the vibrant display and large screen.

Charging speeds are decent but not class-leading, with 45W wired charging taking about an hour for a full charge and 15W wireless charging as a slower alternative. This battery life may require mid-day top-ups or careful power management for heavy users, which feels like a compromise for a flagship device.

    Verdict

    Samsung Galaxy S25+ Software

The Samsung Galaxy S25+ is a premium flagship smartphone known for its exceptional performance and impressive camera quality, paired with a vibrant display. While it appeals to media enthusiasts and casual photographers who prioritize design and performance, its battery life falls short compared to competitors, making it less suitable for those needing all-day endurance.
