Verdict
The Portronics Magma isn’t trying to be the most powerful humidifier, but it’s thoughtfully designed and pleasant to use. If you’re looking for something that hydrates your room, looks great, and doubles as a night lamp or mood enhancer, this one earns its place on your nightstand or your work desk.

Functionality
If you’ve ever found yourself waking up with dry skin or an itchy throat during the colder months, chances are you’ve looked into getting a humidifier.
And if you’re someone who appreciates a little aesthetic flair with your functional gadgets, the Portronics Magma might just be what your room needs.

I’ve been using the Portronics Magma Humidifier and Night Lamp combo for about a week now, mostly at my work desk. And here’s what I think.
Design
The first thing that stood out to me was its compact size and clean matte finish.
It doesn’t scream “gadget” and easily blends in my office decor. The flame effect lighting is more than just a gimmick.

It’s actually quite soothing to look at, especially in a dimly lit room like my work cabin.
There’s also a gradient light mode that slowly cycles through colours.
It gives a nice overall touch to my work setup.
Functionality

With its 300 ml water capacity, the humidifier can run for more than half a day without needing a refill.
Plus, it comes with two mist modes; one offers a continuous release of mist, while the other distils in short intervals.
Pressing its only button once lets you control the colours of the night lamp.
And long-pressing it lets you switch between its dual mist mods.
I personally prefer the alternate mist for everyday use as it maintains a comfortable humidity level without soaking the air.
What impressed me most was how quiet it is.
No gurgling or buzzing sounds that usually plague budget humidifiers.
