NVIDIA Launches GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming Service in India

NVIDIA has officially announced that its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service will be available to all gamers in India starting Wednesday, July 15, at 7:30 a.m. IST. The service is transitioning from early access beta to full launch, enabling high-performance cloud gaming powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture.

With one of the fastest-growing and most connected gaming populations in the world, India faces challenges in accessing high-performance PC gaming due to the limited availability of the latest consoles and hardware. GeForce NOW aims to address this issue by transforming almost any device into a high-end GeForce gaming rig. The service allows users to stream games from dedicated GeForce RTX servers in the cloud to various devices, including laptops, Macs, mobile phones, smart TVs, and handheld consoles. This setup aims to deliver the performance and visual quality found in premium gaming PCs.

    Membership Plans

Following a successful early beta phase, NVIDIA is now offering gamers in India the option to become a GeForce NOW member without joining a waitlist. Two membership plans are available: the Performance tier at ₹999 per month and the Ultimate tier at ₹1,999 per month. For those seeking short-term access, day passes are priced at ₹399 for the Performance tier and ₹799 for the Ultimate tier.

Early access pass holders will receive a one-time 20% discount on their first three months of subscription after their current pass expires. Detailed information about this offer will be sent via email, and eligible members must redeem it within one week.

To facilitate transactions, GeForce NOW now supports UPI payments, providing Indian gamers with a secure and convenient way to purchase memberships and day passes.

NVIDIA Games RTX 40 SUPER Series Graphics Cards

GeForce NOW in India is powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 SuperPODs built on the NVIDIA Blackwell RTX architecture, offering up to 62 teraflops of compute performance. The Ultimate tier includes NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, supporting streaming resolutions of up to 5K at 120 frames per second. For competitive players, NVIDIA Reflex technology delivers response times under 30 milliseconds and supports up to 1080p at 360 fps. GeForce RTX 5080 SuperPODs are reportedly 2.8 times more powerful than previous-generation cloud servers, significantly outperforming the PlayStation 5 Pro.

The new service features Cinematic-Quality Streaming mode, which enhances visual quality through AV1 encoding, AI video enhancement, and 10-bit HDR support, providing clear visuals and accurate colours.

    Game Library and Storage Options

In conjunction with the launch, NVIDIA is supporting a full library of Ready-to-Play and Install-to-Play titles, along with optional persistent cloud storage add-ons. GeForce NOW allows gamers to access their existing game libraries across platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Battle.net, Gaijin, and GOG without having to repurchase games. Additionally, supported gaming subscriptions such as Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect can be connected for broader access to titles.

GeForce NOW’s catalogue includes thousands of games, ranging from popular free-to-play titles like Counter-Strike 2 to major releases like Resident Evil: Requiem and PRAGMATA, with new titles added regularly. Install-to-Play games can utilize NVIDIA NVMesh cloud storage technology to download directly into cloud storage, simulating the local PC experience.

Ultimate and Performance members receive 100GB of single-session cloud storage free of charge, with additional persistent storage options available at monthly rates: 200GB for ₹299, 500GB for ₹499, and 1TB for ₹799. Persistently stored Install-to-Play games can be accessed without needing to download or reinstall them for each session.
