The Nano Banana trend has taken over social media, allowing people to transform their photos into toy-like 3D figurines with custom packaging. From Instagram to TikTok, users are sharing hundreds of these mini-statue portraits that look like collectible figures straight out of a store shelf.

Much like OpenAI’s famous Studio Ghibli painting experiment, Nano Banana has gone viral worldwide, with millions creating their own AI-powered figurine images that look realistic enough to be displayed.

    What is Nano Banana?

Nano Banana is the nickname given to Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, Google DeepMind’s powerful image generation tool. It is built into the Gemini app and also available through Google AI Studio.

    With it, users can:

    • Upload a picture of themselves, a friend, or even a pet.
    • Add a text prompt to turn the image into a hyper-realistic 3D toy-like figurine.
    • Customize packaging and backgrounds to make it look like a real collectible.

This feature is free to use on both the Gemini app and Google AI Studio, making it accessible for anyone with a phone or browser.

How to Create Nano Banana Images

Making your own Nano Banana figurine is quick and simple. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Open the Gemini app or visit Google AI Studio.
    2. Search for “Gemini 2.5 Flash Image” or “Nano Banana”.
    3. Tap on Create and upload your photo.
    4. Use this sample prompt for best results:
“A realistic 1/7 scale commercialized figurine of the character in the picture, in a realistic style, placed on a computer desk. The figurine rests on a transparent acrylic base without text. On the desk is a 3D modeling screen of the figurine, next to a toy packaging box designed like a high-end collectible.”
    5. Customize the prompt with your own style change the setting, pose, or packaging design.
    6. Download and share your Nano Banana 3D figurine photo on social media.

Why is Nano Banana Going Viral?

Several reasons explain why Nano Banana figurines are exploding online:

    • Speed & Quality: Gemini generates photos in seconds with detailed, consistent results.
    • Free to Use: Unlike some AI tools, Nano Banana doesn’t charge users.
    • Celebrity Hype: Bollywood stars, global influencers, and even politicians have joined the trend.
    • Social Media Boost: Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube are filled with these toy-like figurines, fueling the craze further.

According to Google, within just a few days of launch, over 300 million Nano Banana images were created, making it one of the fastest-growing AI art trends of 2025.

    Final Thoughts

The Nano Banana AI trend shows how quickly creative tools can capture the imagination of millions. Whether you want a cute figurine version of yourself, your pet, or your favorite character, Gemini makes it easy to generate high-quality 3D toy-style images for free.

If you haven’t tried it yet, head over to the Gemini app or Google AI Studio, upload your photo, and create your very own Nano Banana figure today.
