Every time Nawazuddin Siddiqui portrays the role of an officer, he takes our breath away. Be it playing an IB officer in Kahaani or a Superintendent of Police in Raees. With Rautu Ka Raaz, he is back in the uniform, and this time, he is posted in the quaint town of Uttarakhand, where he is trying to solve the unexplained death of a school warden along with a team of policemen who’ve zero experience of solving murder cases.

Sharmajee Ki Beti (Amazon Prime) / 28th June 2024

While the most-loved Sharmajee ka Beta is working on strategies to win a T20 World Cup title as a captain, Amazon Prime has arrived with a women-centric movie, Sharmajee Ki Beti. It narrates the lives/experiences of middle-class females of different age groups with the common surname Sharma. The movie is written and directed by Tahira Kashyap Khurrana and stars Divya Dutta, Sakshi Tanwar, and Saiyami Kher in the titular roles.

A Family Affair (Netflix) / 28th June 2024

What happens when a young woman discovers her self-absorbed boss, who’s also a Hollywood star, is having an affair with her widowed mother is presented in a comic way in the name of ‘A Family Affair’. The film revolves around a daughter who is worried about her mother getting hurt in a newly broomed romance between her mother and her boss. The movie stars Nicole Kidman, Zac Effron, and Joey King in the lead.

Drawing Closer (Netflix) / 28th June 2024

Director: Takahiro Miki

The live-action adaptation of Ao Morita’s bestselling novel ‘Yomei Ichinen to Senkoku Sareta Boku ga, Yomei Hantoshi no Kimi to Deatta Hanashi’ stars Ren Nagase and Natsuki Deguchi in lead roles. The Japanese movie narrates the story of a broken 17-year-old boy who is suffering from terminal heart disease and has only a year to live and what happens when he meets a girl who’s also suffering from the same disease but has only six months to live.

Aavesham – Hindi (Disney+ Hotstar) / 28th June 2024

Director: Jithu Madhavam

What can I say about this masterpiece? Just watch it. It’s a must-watch and is now available in Hindi, too. Aavesham is a highly entertaining film that stars Fahadh Fassil in the lead role, along with three newcomers, Mithun Jai Shankar, Hipzster and Roshan Shanavas.
