Sachin Tendulkar Joins Reddit as New Brand Ambassador Reddit India announced on Instagram that u/SachinTendulkar is officially active. With this partnership, Reddit aims to tap into India’s massive cricket fanbase, while Sachin looks to connect more personally with fans. This announcement came as a surprise to many. While fans are delighted, there's curiosity about why an American social media platform chose an Indian cricket legend as its brand ambassador. r/Cricket, r/IndiaCricket, and r/ipl are among the fastest-growing subreddits on the platform. Notably, r/Cricket grew from 120,000 members in 2024 to 1.7 million in 2025 a remarkable +1,316% YoY growth. Meanwhile, r/IndiaCricket has reached 1.4 million members and r/ipl has 800,000, with both communities expanding rapidly since inception. Facebook Announces All Videos Will Soon Be Shared as Reels Facebook has revealed that all videos on its platform will soon be published as reels, regardless of length or orientation. Previously, users could choose between reels or standard video posts. Now, Facebook is also renaming the “Video” tab to the “Reels” tab. This change won’t affect content recommendations, but it will streamline uploads meaning users no longer have to choose between formats. Reels on Facebook will also remove length and format limitations. (Currently, reels are limited to 90 seconds.) Its ability to convert YouTube videos into real-time audio content further boosts its offerings, making it a strong alternative to Spotify and Apple Music. While still lacking some advanced features found in rivals, YouTube Music is rolling out small but meaningful updates, the latest being the lyric-sharing feature, now available on Android and iOS.
