itel has expanded its entry-level smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the new A100, positioning it as a durable yet affordable device aimed at mass-market users. The latest offering from itel focuses on longevity, practical features, and aggressive pricing, targeting consumers who rely heavily on their smartphones for everyday use.
A key highlight of the itel A100 is its military-grade durability. The smartphone comes with MIL-STD-810H certification, designed to withstand tough usage conditions and accidental drops, a feature rarely seen in this price segment. The device also introduces itel’s Ultralink technology, which enables limited connectivity even in areas with little or no network coverage, adding to its appeal in semi-urban and rural markets.

The A100 is available in two configurations: 3GB RAM with an additional 5GB virtual RAM and 4GB RAM paired with 8GB virtual RAM, both offering 64GB of internal storage. Priced at ₹6,799 for the 3GB variant and ₹7,499 for the 4GB version, the phone will be sold through retail stores across India. itel is also offering a free screen replacement within 100 days.
Commenting on the launch, Arijeet Talapatra, CEO of itel India, said the A100 was designed to meet the needs of users who expect their smartphones to last. He added that features such as military-grade durability and Ultralink reflect itel’s emphasis on practical innovation, while maintaining affordability despite rising global component costs.
In terms of hardware, the A100 features a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and DTS-powered audio. It is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T7100 processor running Android 15 Go Edition. The phone also includes an 8MP rear camera, IR blaster, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charger. The A100 is available in Silk Green, Pure Black, and Titanium Gold colour options.
