Think of it as your virtual computer or your own version of Iron Man’s J.A.R.V.I.S. It can browse, analyze, book, organize, and even shop all from a single interface.
What Is ChatGPT Agent?
ChatGPT Agent is powered by a brand-new model developed specifically for this tool. It uses reinforcement learning, the same technology behind OpenAI’s advanced reasoning systems. The Agent merges several powerful features:
- A text-based browser
- A visual interface
- Terminal access
This allows users to import and work with personal data directly, blending the best capabilities from OpenAI’s previous tools like Operator and Deep Research.
What Can a ChatGPT Agent Do?
In real-world tasks, the ChatGPT Agent can make reservations, sync with your Google Calendar, and check platforms like OpenTable all automatically.
Users have already started using it for daily tasks such as shopping online, scheduling reminders, and even getting answers to trivial or repetitive questions. One example? Asking for parking availability at the office every Thursday.
