NxtQuantum Brings India’s First Fully Authored Smartphone

NxtQuantum has introduced the Ai+ Smartphone, praised as the country’s first fully authored smartphone. They claim it is designed and built entirely in India, the Ai+ Smartphone aims to provide world-class performance while prioritizing data privacy for its users.

The launch event featured prominent figures including Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, Shashikumar Sreedharan, Managing Director of Google Cloud India, and Smrithi Ravichandran, Vice President of Mobiles at Flipkart. The introduction of Ai+ marks an important step in mobile innovation, where user control over data storage and access is a central focus.

Powered by NxtQuantum OS, this is India’s first sovereign mobile operating system. The Ai+ Smartphone line offers high performance at an affordable price. These new devices provide an alternative to foreign-built smartphones, aiming to give Indian users greater transparency and control over their data. Madhav Sheth emphasized that the Ai+ Smartphone is about empowering Indian users, stating, “For years, we’ve relied on phones and platforms that were never made with India in mind. Ai+ Smartphone changes that.”

The Ai+ Smartphone lineup features two models, Pulse and Nova 5G, available in five distinctive colours, all running on the NxtQuantum OS. The device is manufactured in India by United Telelinks (Bangalore) Limited at the company’s Noida factory, reinforcing NxtQuantum’s commitment to developing sovereign digital infrastructure from the ground up.

Notably, the Ai+ Smartphone incorporates features tailored to meet the demands of Indian users, such as long battery life, high-definition displays, and dual SIM flexibility. Moreover, the phones support regional languages and local content, enhancing user experience through capabilities like the Theme Designer Tool.

With India being the world’s second-largest smartphone market, comprising over 800 million users, the launch of a domestically built smartphone addresses the prevalent reliance on foreign software and systems that often route user data overseas, leading to concerns over privacy and control.

According to NxtQuantum, all data stored on the Ai+ Smartphone is secured within India, utilizing Google Cloud services approved by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The Ai+ Smartphone lineup is now available on Flipkart and other outlets, with prices starting at ₹4,499 for the Pulse and ₹7,499 for the Nova 5G.
