CMF is set to expand its audio portfolio in India with the launch of the CMF Buds Neo on August 20 at 12pm IST, positioning the new true wireless earbuds as the most accessible entry point into the CMF ecosystem. The company has kept most details under wraps so far, with pricing and specifications expected to be revealed at launch.
A teaser shared on X offers the first glimpse at the Buds Neo and suggests that the earbuds will be offered in three distinct colour options, staying true to CMF’s preference for products that bring a strong visual identity to the budget segment. Beyond the colourways, CMF has yet to confirm details such as drivers, battery life, active noise cancellation or connectivity features.

The Buds Neo will join a growing portfolio of CMF audio products. The brand’s existing lineup includes the CMF Buds 2, which feature 11mm drivers, 48dB Hybrid ANC, spatial audio and up to 55 hours of total playback with the charging case. The CMF Buds Pro 2 sit higher up the range with dual drivers, up to 50dB Hybrid ANC and six HD microphones.
The launch also comes at an interesting point for Nothing’s broader ecosystem. The company recently introduced the Nothing Phone (4b) in India, its first B-series smartphone, with a starting price of ₹34,999 and features including the Glyph Bar, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery. The phone effectively creates a more accessible entry point into the Nothing ecosystem, and the Buds Neo could play a similar role on the audio side.
With CMF already established as Nothing’s value-focused brand, the Buds Neo could be its most direct attempt yet at bringing that ecosystem to a wider audience. The price and specifications on August 20 will determine just how aggressively CMF intends to play that game.
