Apple has already released 3 iOS 26 beta versions to developers, and now it is supposed to hit the public within this week. Apple analyst Mark Gurman has informed that the iOS 26 public beta may release as early as this week. We do not have a confirmed date yet, though.
With the public beta plan, iPhone owners will be in a position to test and enjoy all the features of iOS 26, which are expected to roll out in September. That being said, reports indicate that Apple’s forthcoming public rollout is behind schedule compared to the previous year. Thus, iPhone owners are more interested in learning about what iOS 26 promises and how it will add to day-to-day operations.
iOS 26 Public Beta Release Date
The iOS 26 public beta stages are expected to begin rolling out this week, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Apple hasn’t released any official release date, but rumors indicate it could arrive on or around July 23.
This falls in line with Apple’s scheduled timeline for July. However, compared to last year’s public beta release date, the company is slightly behind schedule. Gurman explained,
“Given that iOS 26 is such a significant design overhaul, it makes sense that Apple would want to take a little extra time to get things right.”
The initial public beta release of iOS 18 occurred last year on July 15. This year, it’s nearly a week late.

While waiting for the public beta, Apple is also set to launch iOS 26 beta 4 today, July 21. This new release will be available to developers with new features and enhancements.
Thus, developers can be on the lookout for the latest Apple update in order to try out the new features before they are released to the public.
