Nothing has confirmed that its upcoming flagship, the Phone (3), will debut with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. Set to launch on July 1 alongside the new Headphone (1), the brand’s first over-ear audio product, the Phone (3) is being claimed to mark a significant step in performance and user experience for the company.
CEO Carl Pei has emphasised the jump in raw power, claiming 36% faster CPU, 88% stronger GPU, and 60% stronger NPU performance over the Phone (2). But beyond benchmarks, he has stressed the importance of balance. “We wanted to create a holistic experience. People use these devices for hours daily, so the chip had to keep up with everything else we’ve improved.”
While Nothing has often leaned on bold design and clever marketing, the Phone (3) looks like a genuine push into flagship territory. The use of Qualcomm’s latest silicon signals a focus on speed, AI enhancements, and better power efficiency, areas where previous models often played catch-up.
Nothing has also teased its expansion into the over-ear headphone market with Headphone (1), entering a competitive audio space dominated by players like Sony, Bose, and Apple. Details remain sparse, but the company is positioning it as a premium companion to the Phone (3).
The Phone (3) and Headphone (1) will be unveiled at a launch event in London on July 1. Interested users can register for updates via Flipkart.in and nothing.tech. Whether Phone (3) delivers on the hype remains to be seen, but it’s clear that Nothing is going all in.
