Nothing is preparing to add a new chapter to its smartphone portfolio. The London-based technology company has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (4b) will make its debut on July 7 at 4:00 PM IST, introducing an entirely new product tier that sits alongside its existing smartphone lineup.
With the launch of the “b” series, Nothing is looking to create a more accessible gateway into its ecosystem. While the company has steadily expanded its presence with the Phone (1), Phone (2), Phone (2a), and more recently the Phone (3), the upcoming Phone (4b) represents the beginning of a fresh lineup aimed at bringing the core Nothing experience to a wider audience.
Rather than positioning the device merely as another smartphone variant, Nothing describes the “b” series as the starting point of a user’s journey into its ecosystem. The move signals the company’s intent to broaden its appeal among younger consumers and first-time Nothing buyers, while maintaining the design philosophy and software experience that have helped define the brand.

Since its inception, Nothing has differentiated itself through transparent industrial design, Glyph lighting and a clean software experience. The introduction of a new smartphone tier suggests the company is now focusing on creating a more structured portfolio, offering consumers multiple entry points depending on their requirements and budgets.
While specifications and pricing remain under wraps for now, the announcement hints at a device that will prioritise the essentials that have become synonymous with the Nothing brand. Whether that translates into the signature design language, Nothing OS, or seamless integration with the company’s growing ecosystem of audio products remains to be seen.
The Nothing Phone (4b) will be unveiled globally on July 7, with those interested able to register for updates through Nothing’s website or tune into the company’s official YouTube channel for the launch event.
As Nothing continues to evolve from a startup challenger into a more mature consumer technology brand, the arrival of the “b” series could prove to be one of its most significant moves yet—bringing the distinctive Nothing experience to an entirely new generation of users.
