Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Could End Up Being Pricier Than Its Predecessor

The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to arrive this October, but we already have a good idea of its specs, thanks to several leaks. Now, another leak regarding the handset is suggesting that it could be priced higher than its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE.

As per a new report Smartprix and OnLeaks, the Fan Edition handset will be priced in the US at $649 (approx. Rs 54,270) for those who wish to buy its base 128GB model. As for those who wish to go for the higher storage 256GB variant, the price will be set at $709 (approx. Rs 59,200) in the US. That’s a $50 (approx. Rs 4,170) increase in the asking amounts of both the variants, compared to their S23 FE counterparts.

Samsung always positions its Fan Edition handsets as high-end yet humbly priced options for those wanting to experience flagship Galaxy hardware. However, considering the fact that the flagship Galaxy S24 starts at $799 (approx. Rs 66,740) in the US, this price increase would lead to confusion among buyers, given the short $90 price gap between the two.

According to past leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is supposed to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. That’s the same display size as that of the Galaxy S24+. There are rumblings that the phone’s global models could run the Exynos 2400e chipset while the US models will be powered by a Qualcomm chipset.

A triple camera system could make its way onto the Galaxy S24 FE. Apparently, it will include a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom. As for selfies, they will be taken care of by a 10MP front camera.

Leaks have also mentioned that a 4,600mAh battery will power the innards of this smartphone, charging at 25W (wired) or 15W (wireless). Lastly, Graphite, Blue, Silver/White, Green, and Yellow could be the colour options that buyers will be able to choose from.

Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is expected to ship this October. Let us wait and watch whether this news about its price increase turns out to be true or not.
