Samsung is all set to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25 in San Francisco, and expectations are sky high. The South Korean tech giant is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series along with the new Galaxy Buds 4 lineup.

From AI-powered image editing to a brand new privacy display feature, Samsung has already teased several upgrades that could make the S26 series one of the most advanced Android flagships of the year.

Here is everything you need to know before the big launch.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026: Event Details

    • Date: February 25
    • Location: San Francisco
    • Time: 11:30 pm IST
    • Livestream: Samsung Newsroom and Samsung YouTube channel

The event is expected to focus heavily on AI integration, privacy enhancements and performance upgrades.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: What to Expect

The upcoming lineup is expected to include:

    • Samsung Galaxy S26
    • Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus
    • Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung has already teased some headline features that could redefine how users interact with their phones.

    Zero-Peeking Privacy Display

Samsung is introducing a new “Zero-Peeking Privacy” feature designed to protect your screen in public spaces. Users may be able to:

    • Hide message previews
    • Conceal password inputs
    • Mask notifications
    • Instantly blur or block the entire screen

This could be a major upgrade for users concerned about privacy while commuting or working in public areas.

AI Image Editing With Text Prompts

Samsung is taking AI photo editing to the next level. With the new system, users can simply describe changes in text, and the phone will apply multiple edits at once.

For example, you could type “remove background people and brighten sky” and the AI will handle it instantly. This reduces the need for manual editing and makes professional-style edits accessible to everyone.

    Perplexity AI Integration

Samsung is adding Perplexity as an alternative AI assistant alongside Google Gemini. Users may be able to activate it by saying “Hey Plex” or by long-pressing the side button.

The assistant is expected to work across native apps and selected third-party applications, giving users quick access to AI-powered answers and contextual help.

Revamped Bixby With One UI 8.5

Samsung is also upgrading Bixby to make it more conversational and context-aware. The assistant will reportedly:

    • Understand natural language better
    • Change device settings instantly
    • Fetch live web information directly inside its interface

This update aims to make Bixby more competitive in the AI assistant space.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Expected Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to remain the premium flagship of the lineup.

    Battery and Charging

    • 5,000mAh battery
    • Up to 31 hours of usage (claimed)
    • Up to 75 percent charge in around 30 minutes

    Camera Setup

    • 200MP primary sensor
    • 50MP ultra-wide lens
    • 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom
    • 10MP 3x telephoto lens

The hardware may remain similar to the previous model, but the phone could feature a redesigned camera island inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold style.

    Processor

    • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset

This should bring major improvements in AI processing, gaming and overall performance.

Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus: Expected Specifications

Both the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus are expected to feature refined designs and refreshed camera modules.

    Processor Options

    • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
    • Exynos 2600 (market dependent)

    Camera Setup

    • 50MP primary sensor
    • 12MP ultra-wide lens
    • 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS

    Display and Battery (Expected)

    • S26 Plus: 6.7-inch flat LTPO M14 AMOLED, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 4,900mAh battery
    • S26: 6.3-inch display, 4,300mAh battery

These models are likely to focus on balanced performance, premium displays and improved efficiency.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Series: What to Expect

Samsung may also launch the new Galaxy Buds 4 lineup alongside the S26 series.

    Expected highlights include:

    • Sleeker and more compact design
    • Continued stem-style look
    • Redesigned charging case with flat layout
    • Improved sound quality

The Buds 4 Pro may remove the Blade Lights seen in the previous Pro model to focus more on audio performance.

According to reports, the standard Buds 4 could support both Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy. Bluetooth Classic will handle streaming and calls, while BLE will improve power efficiency for background connectivity.

    Final Thoughts

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25 is shaping up to be a major AI-focused launch. With Zero-Peeking Privacy, text-based AI image editing, Perplexity integration and upgraded Bixby, the Galaxy S26 series could bring meaningful real-world improvements beyond just hardware upgrades.

If the leaks and teasers hold true, the Galaxy S26 lineup and Galaxy Buds 4 series may set a new benchmark for flagship Android devices in 2026.
