IWC Schaffhausen has teamed up with George Russell to create two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches that translate the Formula One driver’s racing identity into high-performance watchmaking. Developed in close collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team star, the collection includes a chronograph and an automatic model, both crafted in black zirconium oxide ceramic.

Visually, the watches stand out for their bold yet restrained aesthetic. Black dials are accented with printing and Super-LumiNova in Russell’s unmistakable signature blue, a colour long associated with his helmet design and personal racing brand. The same blue extends to the integrated rubber straps, creating a cohesive visual link between cockpit and wrist. Completing the personal touches are titanium case backs engraved with the number “63,” Russell’s racing number since his karting days.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell features a 41.9mm ceramic case, with crown and pushers made from IWC’s proprietary Ceratanium, a material that combines titanium’s lightness with ceramic-like hardness. Powering it is the in-house 69380 calibre, offering a 46-hour power reserve. The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell opts for a slightly slimmer 41mm ceramic case and is driven by the 32112 calibre, whose double-pawl winding system delivers an impressive 120-hour power reserve.
Beyond materials and mechanics, the collaboration reflects Russell’s journey in Formula One, from his debut in 2019 to multiple Grand Prix victories, including his most recent win at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. As Russell notes, these watches feel “truly personal,” mirroring both his calm precision and competitive edge. For IWC, the editions reinforce a long-standing association with motorsport, blending technical innovation with the personality of one of modern F1’s most distinctive drivers.
