A new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has debuted with a beastly specs list that’s targeting die-hard fans of the company. As one would expect then, it also grabs a hefty price tag. This upgraded version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 can be snagged by South Korean patrons at 2,789,600 won, which translates into Rs 1,70,642.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition: What’s New?

    • This new phone will ship with an updated design that allows it to be 1.5mm thinner and 3 grams lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
    • Despite this, it manages to pack bigger displays. The main screen is now an 8.0-inch panel instead of a 7.6-inch one. This 20:18 display is the widest screen among the Galaxy Z Fold series.
    • On its back, it carries a new striped pattern design and is only available in a single black shadow colour option.
    • The cover screen of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition stands at 6.5 inches with an aspect ratio of 21:9 ratio. For reference, the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s cover screen is 6.3 inches in size.
    • Perhaps the biggest update is in the camera department. The 50MP primary camera of the original phone has been replaced by a 200MP sensor to support more vivid and clearer photos.
    • In terms of memory, Samsung has gone ahead and added a whoppipng 16GB of RAM in this Special Edition handset. In case you’re unaware, 12GB is the maximum RAM capacity buyers can avail on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
    • This phone will be sold with 512GB of storage, in contrast to the original, which retails in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
    • This Special Edition has retained Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with the ‘for Galaxy’ branding.
    • Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 is the software of choice, and seven years of updates have been promised for the handset.

    Price And Release Date

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is only meant for South Korean buyers and will be released on October 25. As I said, it will retail in the country at 2,789,600 won, and buyers will also be granted discount coupons for the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with their purchases.
