Lexar has officially launched India’s first ultra-thin Portable SSD, the SL500. At just 4.8mm thick, it is barely larger than a credit card, making it exceptionally easy to carry. This compact design does not compromise performance. It is powered by USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 technology and has impressive read speeds of up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds of 1800 MB/s. This makes the SL500 ideal for filmmakers, photographers, gamers, and content creators who need to move large files swiftly while on the go.

A standout feature of the SL500 is its seamless compatibility with Apple devices. Users can record Apple ProRes 4K video at up to 60 frames per second directly to the SSD using Lexar’s magnetic kit. This unique feature enhances the productivity of videographers and mobile content creators seeking reliable and fast storage for high-resolution video production.

Moreover, the SL500 is versatile and works with many devices beyond Apple, including Windows PCs, Macs, Android smartphones, gaming consoles, and cameras. This cross-platform functionality makes it a practical storage solution for diverse users. Security is also a priority, with 256-bit AES encryption provided via Lexar DataShield software to protect sensitive files from unauthorized access.

Key Features of the Lexar SL500 Portable SSD:

    • Blazing fast read speeds up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1800 MB/s
    • Massive storage options available up to 4TB, perfect for large files and high-resolution media
    • Ultra-slim design at just 4.8mm thick, easily fits in your pocket or bag
    • Durable aluminum unibody construction for heat resistance and long-lasting performance
    • 256-bit AES encryption through Lexar DataShield™ for enhanced data protection
    • USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 technology for lightning-fast data transfers
    • Optimized for Apple users, with support for 4K ProRes video recording via magnetic kit
    • Wide compatibility with PCs, Macs, Android devices, gaming consoles, and cameras
