Nothing has announced that its upcoming smartphone, the Phone (3), will be manufactured in India.
The production will take place at the company’s Chennai facility, which currently employs over 500 people, 95% of whom are women.
The decision to manufacture the Phone (3) locally is part of Nothing’s broader strategy to deepen its operations in India, leveraging the country’s growing role in global electronics manufacturing.
The move is expected to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance responsiveness to local demand.

Co-founder and India President Akis Evangelidis confirmed that all previous Nothing smartphones were also manufactured in India, aligning with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Alongside manufacturing, Nothing is also expanding its after-sales infrastructure.
The company currently operates five exclusive service centres in major metros, namely Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, along with 20 priority service desks, with plans to add 10 more soon.
Additionally, it has over 330 authorised service centres across the country.
On the retail front, Nothing has scaled up its presence significantly, growing from 2,000 retail stores in early 2023 to over 10,000 stores currently.
The Phone (3), positioned as the company’s first true flagship, is expected to play a pivotal role in Nothing’s India growth strategy.
The Nothing Phone 3 will be unveiled on July 1 at an event in London.
