Elista has officially launched its new manufacturing facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth and commitment to advanced electronics production in India. The 1.32 lakh sq. ft. facility is now fully operational, supported by a phased investment of ₹250 crore. This development aims to reduce reliance on imports and elevate self-sufficiency in high-quality electronics manufacturing.
To commemorate the opening, Elista dispatched its first export consignment from the facility, consisting of 650 premium Smart TVs, priced at ₹2.55 crore, to Dubai, facilitated under the India–Dubai Free Trade Agreement. In its initial phase, the plant is set to produce up to 1 million Smart TVs and 1 million LED monitors annually, with plans for a Phase 2 expansion into washing machines, dishwashers, and smart accessories. The facility currently employs over 200 skilled professionals, with expectations for further job growth as production increases.
Saket Gaurav, Chairman & Managing Director of Elista, expressed that this launch represents a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. He highlighted the transition from a challenger brand to one that produces competitive, globally recognized products, now manufactured locally in India. Gaurav emphasized the facility’s alignment with the “Make in India” initiative, aiming to enhance manufacturing capabilities, employment, cost efficiency, and responsiveness to the needs of Indian consumers.
Strategically situated near the Chennai and Visakhapatnam ports, the Kadapa facility offers logistical advantages, reducing shipping times to Dubai to just five days and lowering costs compared to traditional OEM hubs. The plant features automated assembly lines, robotic systems, and intelligent quality assurance measures, along with sustainable practices such as rainwater harvesting and solar energy utilization.

Looking ahead, Elista is exploring the establishment of additional state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in India to expand domestic production capabilities, enhance product launches, and increase exports.
