As Amazon expands its smart home ecosystem in India, the company has launched the new Amazon Echo Dot Max and Amazon Echo Studio, focusing heavily on premium audio, AI-powered smart home automation and refreshed modern designs.

Leading the launch is the Echo Dot Max, which Amazon describes as its most powerful Echo Dot yet. For the first time in the Echo Dot lineup, the speaker features a two-way audio system paired with a high-excursion woofer and custom tweeter for deeper bass and clearer highs. According to Amazon, the new speaker delivers nearly three times the bass performance of the previous-generation Echo Dot while automatically adapting its sound profile to the room.

The Echo Studio, meanwhile, is designed as a more immersive home audio solution with support for Dolby Atmos-powered spatial sound. It combines a high-excursion woofer with three strategically placed full-range drivers to create room-filling audio, while its redesigned spherical form and 3D knit fabric give it a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic.

Both speakers are powered by Amazon’s custom AZ3 silicon chips, with the Echo Studio using the more advanced AZ3 Pro processor. The chips improve Alexa wake-word detection and conversation responsiveness, while Omnisense technology enables automated smart home routines using motion, presence and temperature sensing.
The devices also function as built-in smart home hubs with support for Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Matter, Thread and Bluetooth connectivity. Users can pair them with compatible Fire TV devices to create an Alexa Home Theatre setup as well.
The Echo Dot Max is priced at ₹10,999, while the Echo Studio is priced at ₹23,999. Both are available through Amazon and Flipkart.
