Extreme destinations – Travel at your own risk

Being born in a time where everyone runs behind the social media trends, we often end up following the most travelled road, whether in terms of education, fashion or a vacation. Over the last couple of years, countries and places like Maldives, Bali, and Dubai have earned a place in every traveller’s heart and are earning millions through them. However, if you want to go a little off way, there are various places where you should not travel, as they have a history of jeopardy.

North Sentinel Island, India

We’re beginning the list with one of our places, which is situated in the Andaman Islands. North Sentinel Island has a brief history of endangerment, and not many people are aware of its danger or even its existence. The island is home to the Sentinelese, an indigenous people who have been living in isolation for ages and don’t have any clue about the modern world. The island is a protected area of India and is considered one of the most dangerous places to visit in the world.

The Sentinelese people are infamous for their violence and reluctance to communicate with outsiders. Every time someone has tried to enter the secluded island, the tribes have attacked and murdered the visitors. When the Indian Coast Guard helicopters flew overhead to drop off food parcels for the tribes during the tsunami, the tribe attacked them with arrows and stones. As a result, the government has banned its citizens from visiting the island.

Death Valley, United States

A desert valley in the northern Mojave Desert is said to be the world’s hottest place, especially during the summers. Death valley got its forbidden name from a band of settlers who lost here in the winter of 1849-1850. The valley is famous for its heat exposure but has witnessed more deaths due to single-car accidents instead of heat strokes. The hottest, driest, and lowest National Park in the world is home to rattlesnakes, scorpions, and black widow spiders.

Devil’s Pool, Zambia

The Devil’s Pool is Situated atop one of the world’s largest waterfalls, Victoria Falls. The edge of the massive waterfall forms a calm pool of water when the Zambezi River’s levels drop during the drier months of the year. The pool is situated along the Zambia-Zimbabwe border and offers the most thrilling, insane, and incredible experiences. However, one should only risk taking a dip in the pool from mid-August to mid-January; otherwise, you know who’s waiting down there.

New Smyrna Beach, Florida

Have you seen Steven Spielberg’s Jaws? If yes, then you probably have guessed what we’re going to say next. New Smyrna Beach is situated in the state of Florida, which is renowned for its beach resorts, warm and sunny climate. The beach is famous for gorgeous sunrises and white-sand shores but has a fearsome reputation as it is infamous for being a fertile hunting ground for sharks and has recorded over 250 shark attacks.

Snake Island, Brazil

You can not set foot here without acquiring certain permits from the Brazilian government, which has made it illegal for anyone to visit. Ilha da Queimada Grande, or Snake Island, is an island about 25 miles off the coast of Brazil in the Atlantic Ocean and is considered one of the deadliest places in the world. The 43-hectare island is home to the critically endangered, venomous Bothrops insularis (golden lancehead pit viper), whose diet consists mainly of migratory birds.

Why do people romanticise Hustle Culture?

Hello, social animals! Welcome to the most insecure century. Naah, I ain’t gonna apologize for my words cause I’ve edited pretty much before going ahead with the current intro. We’re living in a time where everybody wants to be on top. Ask anyone from the current generation how’s their life going, and they would proudly answer – Going good, I’m working very hard to get what I want in my life.

Okay, kiddo, happy dreaming, but even superheroes struggle to get what they want and sometimes prefer to sacrifice instead of being ARIES, one of the most stubborn signs of the lot. We all know that our favourite LinkedIn app is no more an app that provides job opportunities to job-seekers since some of the marketing guys have turned it into a motivational quote’wala app.

Hope, you’ve seen a few quotes on the app this morning. If you haven’t, here’s one fo’ you.

“Elon Musk works 80 to 90 hours a week, has 6 companies and is only 50.

Stop making excuses, and get the hell on with it.”

No doubt, the guy is a genius, and in future, he will accomplish more peaks, but we can’t ignore the fact that he sucks at delegating his work. Now, the inner entrepreneur in you will say that to achieve big things, you must work hard and go through hell. Well, following the schedule of 80 to 90 hours of work a week, what’s left for you? You’re already living in hell, bro.

The people who are currently above the age of 40 think HARD WORK is the key to everything. While the young generation, who are currently in their 20s/30s, think HARD WORK DONE SMARTLY will take them to the moon as it increases their productivity. However, in reality, to become productive, you must learn to combine hard work with exercise, proper sleep, time off, and healthy eating habits.

I’ve seen people who spend over 15+ hours working (thanks to the eye-opening quotes) and then brag about it on social media platforms with captions like “Let’s make money baby, we can fall in love later”, of course, followed by #hustle. Honestly, that’s terrifying, and that’s not how you should live your life. Think about your health, and stop grazing as soon as possible.

I don’t know why most of us like to graze almost 24/7 like a cow instead of working like a lion, which means being completely involved in the zone and working with zero distractions. When you completely invest yourself in work for about 3-5 hours a day, you don’t get exhausted and anxious, but when you graze for 10+ hours, you know what happens to you?

Someone on social media posted a quote, “Keep Hustling,” and like a dumb ass, most of us started following the rituals such as waking up, having a coffee, rushing to work and then working like a dog till we got the work done. Sometimes, we even skip meals, work after the end of our regular shift hours (only to impress the boss and be in the competition) and work on weekends to meet deadlines.

We are a generation of workaholics, except for a few traitors like me and some of my colleagues who don’t indulge themselves in a hustle culture. Today, most people we work with spend additional hours at the job, are obsessed over success, relentlessly sprinkle positivity, and glorify their lifestyle by saying we’re busy. Ask them when they’re in the loo, and they’ll answer back, “I’m working”.

Really? Don’t you have a life outside work?

Back then, when our forefathers were young, they believed in camping, meditating, trekking, fishing, etc., only to defocus themselves from the mundane work culture and gain their focus back. They were a firm believer in putting their life and family before anything. I’m telling you, taking a pause from the mundane routine always helps you to develop innovative ideas.

The young generation questions the motive behind relaxation and considers leisure an urban legend. They believe and follow an always-on ideology in the name of workload, which is damn exhausting. Besides working for additional hours, they subconsciously spend a huge amount of time thinking and worrying about the work.

Nowadays, many people work for the sake of working and earning money. They don’t have any purpose behind their work, and that’s why many of us aren’t satisfied with our careers. Some people will happily say yes to work till death if someone offers them a great package without even giving a second thought to their health and happiness.

Sometimes, even a guy like me who doesn’t even follow the hustle culture feels like I’m burnt out. You know where we went wrong? When we decide to follow our ego instead of our brains and hearts. You still have time, don’t fall into the trap of hustle culture cause with that, you’re only pushing yourself away from a healthy work-life balance. Next time, before saying yes, think twice about yourself. Ciao.

5 best Smart Watches & Fitness Trackers you should buy

We’re living in times where we rarely spot someone without a smartphone, smartwatch or fitness tracker, as they’ve become essential gadgets which exploit our lifestyle. Every year, we witness hundreds of launches, which makes our selection journey far-flung and confusing as f**k. To ensure you don’t get trapped in a world of choices, we’ve tested dozens over the past few months to bring you the 7 best smartwatches and fitness trackers.

Why do you need a smartwatch or fitness tracker?

Do you care to know about your heart rate, sleep cycle, daily activities and overall fitness level? If yes, you should get one of these following smartwatches or fitness trackers. Smartwatches and fitness trackers offer almost everything about your health right from your wrist. Over the last few years, the two devices have converged as smartwatches are getting more inclined toward the fitness side while fitness trackers adopted big screens.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic

The Samsung Galaxy Watch series is the only watch line that has the guts and power to beat Apple watches. When it comes to the design, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic looks very similar to its cousin Galaxy Watch 4. The device has a circular face with flat edges and offers beyond the premium user experience. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic runs on Samsung’s One UI Watch 3 platform on top of the Wear OS 3 operating system.

The smartwatch comes in two different size case options, 42mm and 44mm. The 42mm model has a 1.19-inch Super AMOLED display, while the 44mm model has a 1.4-inch display. In terms of screen protection, the watch features Corning Gorilla Glass DX, and in terms of memory, the watch is supported by 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic works best when you pair it up with the Galaxy smartphone.

Apple Watch Series 7

The name Apple Watch is enough to prove it is the best in the market, at least for the people who own iPhones. The screen size of the Apple Watch 7 is 20% bigger than the Apple Watch 6, but the company hasn’t changed the Apple Watch’s display borders in the last couple of years. The watch runs on watchOS 8, and has a full keyboard for typing out messages. The watch looks fantastic on the wrist and lasts up to two days.

The latest Apple Watch from the Cupertino-based company features about 40% thinner bezels and fast charging support which is 33% quicker than before. The watch also gets an enhanced cycling mode along with the meditation app. Overall, the Apple Watch 7 seems like a good buy, but we recommend buying an Apple Watch 6 as it is reasonably priced or waiting for a few more months to get a brand new Apple Watch 8.

Fitbit Sense

Fitbit Sense is often hailed as the best fitness tracking smartwatch as it offers more advanced health and wellness features than the Versa line. The Fitbit Sense smartwatch is both iOS-compatible and one of the best smartwatches for Android. The watch comes in one size – 40.5mm and a display size of 1.58-inch, 336 x 336 pixels. The Fitbit smartwatch is available in three colours – Silver, Graphite, Gray and offers a very good battery life of 6 days.

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro is one of the most pocket-friendly yet decent smartwatches. The watch offers plenty of smart features, a 1.45-inch HD AMOLED display, BioTracker PPG 3.0 Biometric Sensor, good battery life and upright fitness tracking capabilities. The build quality of the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro is not so impressive but is still up to the mark. The smartwatch offers a pretty good battery as it lasts for 12-days straight. All in all, the AMazfit GTR 3 Pro watch is an affordable option if you’re looking for a budget smartwatch with a well-known brand.

Fossil Gen 5

Undoubtedly, Fossil watches are one of the best Wear OS smartwatches in the current market as they have a classic design and get the job done unless you expect a marvel from them. The 12mm thick and 44mm wide Fossil Gen 5 smartwatch features a 1.28in AMOLED screen, which is bright enough to show whatever you’re looking for while in the sunlight. The watch runs on a Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor and is backed by 1GB of RAM.

Bombay Culture

They say good times start with a few bad ones. Or at least this is what I was made to believe when I first came to Bombay. My mom packed everything she could think of as a necessity, including the jar full of mango pickles stuffed safely inside my luggage, heavy enough to transcend the 15Kg limit set by the airlines. I would never in two worlds pay another thousand for an extra kilo. So I picked out a few books, strange cases, and some fondest memories of Allahabad, wrapped them around my arms, gasped, and braced myself for a new journey.

The first thing I realized on my way to the town from the airport was that you could not take an autorickshaw down south. Only ‘kaali-peeli’, or black and yellow taxis as we call them, had that privilege. The next thing I realized was that I was heavily over-charged for my trip. All these years of being street-smart didn’t help, and I believe it had something to do with my school of thought that ‘well, it is Bombay! It is supposed to be expensive.’

How would I have known back then that Mumbai serves everyone, sometimes unfairly, but certainly! It is that one busy local train everyone wishes to get a seat on. Somedays, you’ll get lucky; other times, you will have to push your way through the crowd. Even if you miss it, you know you have the next train coming. Such is Bombay!

I sometimes wonder why I like Bombay with all my heart. I have worked, studied, and travelled in quite a few cities, but none has made me tear up with pain and joy like Mumbai. The initial days were good. I was studying in one of the most prestigious colleges, staying at a busy location of Fort, and made friends I knew would stay. Coming from a small town, I have always heard how magnificent the shores of Mumbai were, how the sea can devour you whole like a setting sun, only to give you a new life. Now, it was time to believe.

It was not just the gusting wind and the silence of the screaming sea that caressed my soul gently. I believe it had something to do with the architecture, the old Iranian cafes, shady bars, and art galleries. The geometric patterns, maritime elements, the rounded balconies, and the obsession with symmetries on buildings and structures transport you to a different era. This part of the city is all art! In fact, Mumbai has the most Art Deco buildings after Miami city. The structures in Mumbai had global influences- from Egypt to Persia with a bit of Indian symbolism. The British-era Gothic structures reflected the local urbanization and international outlook. While post-Independence Mumbai failed to keep up with the structure’s aesthetics, the Government and the people have done a pretty good job preserving it.

The other night I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, and I stumbled upon a video where a government official held a ‘karaoke morning’ at Bandstand to motivate people to take a walk and stay fit. Everyone sang and danced to the tune, and I almost believed India wasn’t going through a political and social crisis. Halfway through this article, you must wonder why I am not talking about the culture as I promised in the title. Well, the culture is subtle and speaks to you without you knowing, and in no time, that conversation takes over your whole personality.

Sometimes people ask me how I find Bombay, and I freeze, trying to remember everything this city has made me go through. Out of everything, I admire the cultural shift it has brought. The

culture is on full display across the city. The most important of it all is the theatre culture. I have participated in theatre fests in a few cities like Allahabad and Delhi, but while it was a good experience, Mumbai felt like I was made for this. Almost every weekend, I would dress up nicely, visit Prithvi Theatre, and see the artists performing live in front of the audience. What surprised me the most was that the tickets were expensive and the shows would still go housefull. A perfect place where you could feel the art present in the atmosphere while you enjoy a cup of Prithvi’s special chai.

Did you miss the part where I said I dress up nicely before hitting the theatre? That’s almost true anywhere I go in Mumbai. This city loves dressing up at its best. The western culture is so strong here that you can see people with their best drip still looking casual. Mumbai is casually loud yet sophisticated in the sense of fashion. While I have seen Delhi making a lot of effort to dress up, Mumbai is inherently relaxed and casual while slaying it all the way through. There is something intrinsically chilled about Mumbai. This might be coming from my bias, which is solely my opinion, but people here are happy with who and what they are, and it shows. Delhi seems to be trying too hard to present a new side of them without being comfortable.

The hustle culture is strong in Bombay. Remember how I said earlier that Mumbai is that one busy local train? You cannot stand still in front of the local train while people are ready to board. You’ll be pushed into the front. That’s how fast this city moves. Often, it gets overwhelming for a person like me just to keep going at this pace, but it inspires me and increases my appetite for greatness. Many of the time, while talking to rickshaw wallas and fellow actors, they would say that you get what you want from this city if you ask hard enough. I guess that’s what keeps the humans here going.

Mumbai is rich; in heritage, culture, people, food, music, and experiences. Often the city shows a contrasting picture of the economic state of the people, but it is bound to happen anywhere in the world. The good part, however, is that Bombay makes you her own like you were always a part of this city.

15 breakthrough Indian inventions that transformed the world

Do you know who invented zero? Well, zero as a ‘digit’ was first introduced by Aryabhata in his place value system, and as an Indian, I’m proud of it cause without zero, everything falls apart. Today, on the event of India’s 75th Independence day, I’m going to oblige you with the top 15 Indian inventions that we’re proud of. Also, I hope you have participated in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

Plastic Roads

Let’s start with the trending issue we all face during the monsoon season or perhaps throughout the year. We can buy a car or something, but we couldn’t have a comfortable ride due to potholes and broken roads. To overcome this problem, in 2006, an Indian scientist, Rajagopalan Vasudevan of the Thiagarajar College of Engineering, developed and patented a unique idea of Plastic roads.

The technique involves sprinkling shredded plastic waste to construct better, more durable, and cost-effective roads. The roads made of plastic-coated stones last longer and reduce road-laying maintenance costs by 50%, as plastic doesn’t allow water to saturate the road. The technology of making roads with plastic waste was adopted globally by many countries, including the United Kingdom.

Paper Microscope or Foldscope

Back in the 20th century, buying a microscope was out of the league, but today you can buy a microscope for less than 100₹. Looks like you’re stunned. Thanks to IIT-Kanpur alumnus Manu Prakash who developed a paper microscope, an optical microscope made from a sheet of paper and a lens. The invention was part of the “frugal science” movement and can be used in science education/medical diagnosis in rural areas.

Voice Prosthesis

Each year, tens of millions of people are diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and Laryngeal cancer is one of the topmost cancer categories in the world. In 2015, a Bengaluru-based oncologist, Dr Vishal Rao, invented a tiny voice prosthesis made of silicon to help cancer survivors talk again. The device is priced at a bare minimum cost of 50₹, far less than the other costly devices.

USB

Before the dawn of the USB, connecting your computer with something required a large variety of ports, such as a PS/2 connector, a serial port, a DIN connector or the Apple Desktop Bus. Then, in 1996, Ajay V. Bhatt, an Indian-born American computer architect, defined and developed the USB (Universal Serial Bus), a little removable storage device, making our data-carrying journey easier than ever.

Wireless Communication

The Google search for “wireless communication invented by” will take you to the phrase – Guglielmo Marconi invented wireless radio communication. However, the real credit for demonstrating the use of radio waves for communication belongs to Jagadish Chandra Bose, who is regarded as the father of wireless communication. The technology helped us to communicate quickly and transmit information over a distance without wires.

Diamond Mining

Have you ever thought that if the Koh-i-Noor diamond belongs to India, we must have mined several other diamonds too? Yes, we have! The diamond mining industry originated in India around 5000 years ago when the stones were found along the rivers Penner, Krishna and Godavari banks. India was the only source of diamonds in the world until the 18th century; no wonder our country was known as Sone ki Chidiya.

Pentium Chip

We, Indians are widespread for making our mark everywhere with our multi-tasking skills, be it a sports or in a field of science. Everybody knows the tagline Intel Inside, but nobody knows the name of the person who invented the first Pentium processor. The name is Vinod Dham, popularly known as the Father of the Pentium chip for his contribution to the development of Pentium processors.

Fibre Optics

Today, we have high-speed internet in our homes, office or perhaps, everywhere, thanks to Narinder Singh Kapany, an Indian-American who invented the technology of high-speed internet. The physicist considered the father of fibre optics was regarded as one of the unsung heroes of the 20th century by Forbes magazine for his Nobel Prize-deserving invention.

Hotmail

Being a part of the tech-led world, we can’t imagine our lives without Gmail or Apple Mail, but they’re not the first web-based email services ever invented. The world’s first web-based email service was developed in 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. Later on, in 1997, Microsoft acquired Hotmail for an estimated price of $400 million and relaunched it with several new names. Today, we know it as Outlook.com.

Crescograph

Did you know there is a device for measuring growth in plants? Well, most of us aren’t aware of this device called Crescograph, which Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose invented in 1928. Yes, the same person who invented Wireless Communication. Mr Bose used a series of clockwork gears and a smoked glass plate to record the movement of the tip of a plant and proved to everyone that plant has a life too.

Cataract & Cosmetic Surgery

Ayurveda originated in India a long ago, but along with it, we have invented several other inventions in the field of medicine, including Cataract and Cosmetic Surgery. The surgeon who invented cataract surgery was Sushruta, popularly known as the Father of Surgery. He invented and developed surgical procedures, which we can find in Sushruta Samhita, an ancient Sanskrit text on medicine and surgery.

Trigonometry

We all have faced difficulties while understanding the sin-cos-tan table or perhaps everything that comes under the trigonometry belt. The trigonometry sine, cosine and arctangent were discovered by an Indian mathematician and astronomer named Madhava of Sangamagrama. Along with trigonometry, he has pioneered the study of infinite series, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and algebra.

Shampoo

The word Shampoo is derived from the word chāmpo, which comes from the Sanskrit word Chapayati, meaning massage. Shampoo, comprising of natural oils and herbs, was invented in the eastern parts of the Mughal Empire.

Buttons

We have a history in civilization, and Indians are the first human beings who added buttons as an ornament on clothes. The buttons were invented in Mohenjo-daro, one of the settlements of Indus civilisation and they were made of shells and had two holes in the middle.

Water on the Moon

Several countries have successfully conducted their Missions to the Moon, but India’s Chandrayaan-1 was the first to discover water on the Moon. And with that, it’s time to say ba-bye! Happy 75th Independence day to you; stay safe, stay healthy.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 was well received after their Note series feature, the S-Pen, was introduced as a part of the package. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 improves over the Fold 3 in many more minor iterative changes. The dimensions and form factor largely remain identical to the Fold 3, while the hardware leaps in terms of processor, display, camera and software. Running on Android 12 over an improved Samsung One UI, the Fold gets an interesting taskbar with multi-window support and flex mode.

Starting with the processor, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 gets the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor improving the NPU required to post-process images and videos to a new level. The camera setup is now identical to the Samsung S22 series, and a new 50MP camera with 2.0-micron pixels improves over the Fold 3’s 1.8-micron pixel allowing more light capture. The optical zoom has been enhanced from 2x to 3x, while a digital zoom of 30x improves the Fold 4’s zoom capabilities from 10x on the Fold 3. This also enables Galaxy S22 series Nightography to capture 23% brighter images in low light conditions. The triple-camera setup is further aided by improved NPU enabling AI ISP, OIS and VDIS. With a Veritas certificate of 200K folds, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 improves on the durability of its hinge. An adaptive S-AMOLED display now features a 1-120Hz refresh rate with a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. The Fold 4 continues with a hidden in-display front camera, and wireless and reverse wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy Flip 4

The teaser site images created an illusion of flat sides on the Samsung Galaxy Flip 4. In-person, the sides are curved and feel more ergonomic to hold. Like the Fold 4, the Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 gets the newer improved Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and an enhanced Samsung One UI running over Android 12. The Flip 4 also gets an improved display with 18% strengthened ultra-thin glass featuring a brighter 900 nits display with dynamic S-AMOLED switching between 1-120Hz refresh rate. The glass sandwich now features a Haze glass finish for improved ergonomics. A robust set of Samsung Galaxy S21 FE cameras are implemented on the Galaxy Flip 4, significantly improving overall camera performance with 65% brightness in images and videos. Night-photography also comes included on the bold new camera deco. It also gets improved AI ISP, OIS and VDIS.

The hinges have been reduced by 1.2mm, an engineering marvel from Samsung engineers. The battery capacity has improved to 3700 mAh, a 10% improvement from its predecessor Flip 3. The ultra-thin glass too has improved in strength by 18%. The new Galaxy Flip 4 also gets intuitive multi-angle capture, seamless vlogging mode and a hands-free camera experience. The cover screen gets unique customisations with improved One UI and AI responses.

Samsung Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro get a new sensor design, and Samsung promises increased durability. Software enhancements include a digital wheel that acts like a physical wheel and responds to touch on the outer circular bezels. A new design also brings curvature and precise body composition tracking. There’s advanced sleep coaching, multi-device experience with other Samsung devices, holistic sleep analysis, advanced sleep coaching and personalised programs on the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro. Samsung has improved the battery life on the Watch 5 by adding a 13% bigger battery with fast-charge capabilities charging the Watch 5 30% faster than the Watch 4. Both these watches are now protected with Sapphire crystal, the second hardest transparent material after diamonds.

Users can share route details, import route files, and enjoy turn-by-turn navigation and trackback functions on the Watch 5 Pro. Time to Change the Game – Why are Celebrities creating their own YouTube channels?

Social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube have completely changed the definition of a so-called celebrity. Nowadays, we’re seeing way too many Instagram influencers and YouTubers being referred to as celebrities by their followers/subscribers. Thanks to these social media platforms, which have offered a platform for content creators to showcase their talent and that too without asking for a single buck.

Over the last few years, these platforms turned from simple video-sharing platforms to a home to a plethora of content creators. Back in the 2000s or even before that, wannabe actors, musicians, artisans, etc., used to struggle for so many years to get noticed by the world. But now, what you need to become an overnight celebrity is viral content, thanks to the supremacy of social media.

I understand the fad where ordinary people shot reels, vlogs, and videos to earn a social status and a little popularity amongst society, but a couple of years ago, while surfing on YouTube, I came across one celebrity channel and asked myself why? However, after a bit of research and work-chat, I realised that it’s not the only celebrity channel on YouTube. Since then, many Hollywood and even Bollywood stars have started their YouTube channels.

Reasons:

To develop a connection on a personal level

What is your first impression of the Hollywood star and former wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson? He must be a harsh, rude and strong-headed person, right? However, in reality, he’s entirely the opposite of what we’re thinking of him. And we got to know about this through his YouTube channel, which has over 6 million subscribers, where he shares his daily life and shredding tips with his fans.

You must have seen content creators who showcase their day-to-day life in their YouTube vlogs or Instagram reels have more number of followers than those who don’t showcase the same. Do you know why? When people take their audience into their daily lives and come ahead on YouTube/Instagram as they are in reality, it helps them to develop a personal connection with fans and strengthen their followings.

To showcase a different or perhaps the real side of their character

We often spot celebrities through the paparazzi’s cameras, where most of the time, they look grumpy, and we judge their character according to their behaviour with the paps and fans who ask for selfies. Now, put yourself in the same spot and imagine how you would treat someone returning from a hectic work day. Being a celebrity is not easy; in reality, they moved to YouTube to prove they’re not like paps show them.

YouTube offers celebrities a platform to showcase their natural character and allows them to have complete control over what they want to share with their fans. Here, they don’t even have to follow the strict editing deadlines like in movies. They can edit their stuff whenever they want, choose any topic and take their fans on a crazy ride just by sharing a few moments they had while shooting a film or anything for that matter.

To stay in the limelight

Once a celebrity, always a celebrity doesn’t work anymore as there are way too many celebrities around the world. Be it film stars, Instagram models, Influencers, YouTubers, Gamers, etc. We’ve seen many Bollywood actors or Television actors reaching the stars and falling badly within the next few releases. These stars want to stay in the limelight and regain public attention again, using YouTube as a platform to do the same. No wonder more and more celebrities are creating their own YouTube channels.

10 obscure facts you need to know about time

Time plays mind games with us. How? Just think about a few situations, and you’ll nod yes. Have you ever noticed when you’re hanging out with friends or someone you love, time flies like an arrow, but when you’re in a boring work meeting or reading a book, it moves slower than a three-toed sloth? I know it’s frustrating, but we can’t do much about it as it would be just a waste of time.

You can wear a watch on a wrist but can’t hold time in your hand. Sounds like the saddest truth about time. You know there are some dumb intellectuals who say time doesn’t exist, but every night before sleeping, they set alarm clocks to wake up. However, we can’t argue with them as everyone experiences time differently. Whether they are right or wrong, only time will tell. Let’s look at 10 things you need to know about time.

  • Do you know time is the most common noun in the English language? No wonder we have been obsessed with it for ages. Even man and woman stand 7th and 14th respectively in the list of most used nouns. Shockingly, nouns like play and rest are not even in the list of top 100 most used nouns.
  • Time is the greatest teacher in the world, but we’re super busy in our lives, and we often ignore it for something else. Always remember, time and experience walk along with each other, and it takes a lot of mistakes to gain experience. Take a chill pill and learn to enjoy the journey but be careful while wandering.
  • You can’t be a master of something unless you’ve spent a considerable amount of time on it. How you spend your time and how much time you spend on something shows how much you’re interested in it. Be wise and selective when you’re walking into somewhere as it’s going to affect you, be it clubbing or a quick gossip.
  • They say you’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with. I’ve experienced this one personally. When you live like a lone wolf, you listen to what your mind speaks, but when you’re with a bunch of friends, you end up following the majority more often. Keep in mind your time is limited; learn to spend it wisely.
  • It takes Earth 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.091 seconds to finish the one rotation so that the sun appears in the same position in the sky. Yeah, we have been fooled since school days. You can do a lot in those 3 minutes and 56 seconds. Ask someone who has missed his login time due to a minute-long red light at the traffic signal.
  • At the beginning of the age of dinosaurs (about 230 million years ago), there were 370 days in a year, and the day was just 23 hours long. Over the years, the earth has slowed down due to the tidal friction from the sun and moon, so the days are getting longer by about 1.7 milliseconds per century.
  • On a regular day, we measure time with instruments such as a clock, hourglass, sundial or calendar but do you know there are various measurement tools to measure the time? Forget the rest; the smallest standard scientific measure of time is the Planck time, which is equal to 10−44 seconds.
  • Light takes a significant amount of time to reach earth. As a result, We see the Moon as it was 1.2 seconds ago and the Sun as it was 8 minutes ago because the Moon is 384,400 km away from the earth while the Sun is about 150 million km away.
  • Space and time are fluid, thanks to the gravitational force. Also, as far as physics is concerned, there is no such thing as now. We are either living in the past or somewhere in the future.
  • What do you think? Will the time come to an end? Yes, according to some physicists, time will end within the next four billion years as the universe is on its way to expanding infinitely.

10 Body Positivity Influencers to Follow in 2022

Imagine scrolling through the gram to finally end up feeling at ease in your own skin. The body positivity movement is, by far, the most radically beautiful thing on social media. While there is no dearth of photoshopped images portraying perfect bodies and impeccable skin, thankfully, there is a steady rise of representation for all skin types, body sizes, and genders.
