    PROS 👍

    • Premium Build – Lightweight, durable ‘Ceraluminium’ design.
    • Stunning Display – 14” 3K OLED, 120Hz, vibrant colors.
    • Long Battery Life – Lasts 10-12 hours, fast charging.

    CONS 👎

    • Loud Fans – Noticeable noise under heavy load.
    • Reflective Touchscreen – Struggles in bright environments.
    • Expensive – Higher price than some competitors.

Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED (UX5406) is the latest addition to the Zenbook series, and it’s here to make a statement. As someone who’s spent three weeks testing this laptop, I can confidently say it’s one of the most impressive ultrabooks I’ve used in recent years. From its sleek design to its powerhouse performance, the Zenbook S 14 OLED is a gadget lover’s dream. Let’s dive into the details.

Detailed Review of Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED

    Design: Sleek, Durable, and Eye-Catching

asus zenbook s 14 oled display

The Zenbook S 14 OLED is a head-turner. Asus has introduced a new material called ‘Ceraluminium,’ a blend of ceramic and aluminium, which not only makes the laptop more durable but also resistant to fingerprints. The silver accents and minimalist Zenbook logo give it a premium, understated look.

What really caught my eye was the geometric grille above the keyboard, featuring 2,715 CNC-machined vents. It’s not just for show—it improves airflow while adding a touch of sophistication. Despite its all-metal chassis, which is MIL-STD 810H certified for durability, the laptop remains incredibly lightweight at just 1.2 kg and measures a slim 1.2 cm in thickness. Portability? Check.

Asus hasn’t skimped on ports either. You get HDMI 2.1, USB-C, USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack, making it versatile for both work and play.

Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED: Display

asus zenbook s 14 oled Price and display

The 14-inch OLED display is where the Zenbook S 14 OLED truly shines. With a 3K resolution (2,880 x 1,800) and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, this screen is a joy to use. The colours are vibrant, the blacks are deep, and the details are razor-sharp. Whether you’re editing photos, watching movies, or just browsing, the display delivers an immersive experience.

It’s Pantone-validated and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, ensuring exceptional colour accuracy for creative professionals. While the touchscreen variant is available, I found it less practical due to reflections in bright environments. That said, Dolby Vision support makes media consumption an absolute delight.

    Keyboard, Touchpad, and Audio

The keyboard is a pleasure to type on, with decent key travel and adjustable backlighting. Asus has also added a dedicated Copilot key, which enhances usability for productivity tasks. The touchpad is smooth, responsive, and supports multi-touch gestures, making navigation effortless.

Audio quality is another standout feature. The Harman/Kardon speakers deliver clear, balanced sound with a surprising amount of bass for an ultrabook. Whether you’re in a meeting or binge-watching your favourite show, the audio experience is top-notch.

Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED: Performance

asus zenbook s 14 oled intel core ultra 7 processor

Zenbook S 14 OLED packs an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of NVMe storage. This configuration handles multitasking and productivity tasks with ease. I tested it with Chrome running multiple tabs, streaming, and even light gaming, and it didn’t break a sweat.

Speaking of gaming, titles like Forza Horizon 4 ran smoothly at medium settings, which is impressive for an ultrabook. The integrated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) is a game-changer for AI-assisted workflows, making this laptop a great choice for creative professionals.

While the Core Ultra chipset doesn’t outperform AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX in benchmarks, it’s more than capable for everyday use and light creative work. Thermal management is effective, with minimal heat under load, though the fans can get a bit noisy during heavy usage.

Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED: Battery Life

The 72Wh battery is a standout feature. In my testing, the Zenbook S 14 OLED consistently lasted 10-12 hours on a single charge, even with Chrome running multiple tabs and streaming. And when you do need to recharge, the 65W adapter is a lifesaver—it takes just 48 minutes to go from 20% to 100%.

    Verdict: Is It Worth It?

The Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED is a premium ultrabook that ticks all the right boxes. Its lightweight design, stunning OLED display, robust performance, and long battery life make it a compelling choice for professionals and casual users alike.

Priced at ₹1,34,990 for the base model and ₹1,49,990 for the top variant, it’s positioned as a premium offering. But when you compare it to similarly specced laptops from Dell, HP, and Microsoft, the Zenbook S 14 OLED holds its own.

If you’re in the market for a sleek, portable, and powerful ultrabook, the Asus Zenbook S 14 OLED deserves a spot at the top of your list. It’s not just a laptop—it’s a statement.
