Adobe Premiere’s mobile app is now available on Android. The app launched on iPhone last year and quickly became a go-to tool for vlogs, tutorials, podcast clips, and social content. Now Android users get the same pro-quality editing tools, and the app is free.
Diksha Kuhar, Director of Product Marketing for Premiere mobile at Adobe, said 95% of Indian creators are already mobile-first. So the smartphone is becoming the studio for India’s next wave of creators. With Premiere mobile now on both iOS and Android, Adobe is putting professional editing tools directly in their hands.
The app focuses on speed and simplicity. Enhance Audio cleans up background noise and sharpens voice clarity in one tap. This means creators spend less time fixing sound and more time telling their story. Frame-accurate editing gives precise control over every cut, whether that’s matching a beat drop or timing a reaction. A multi-track timeline lets users layer video, music, text, and effects in a single view.
Creators also get templates to start edits, plus effects, transitions, and music from Adobe Stock or their own files. The app supports editing and exporting up to 4K, and there’s no forced login or upgrade prompts to get started. Adobe has also built in Firefly-powered generative AI tools, including Generative Fill, Image-to-Video, and Generate Sound Effects. The whole experience runs without ads or watermarks.
Adobe says more features are coming soon. These include Adobe Fonts, enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection, and continued editing on Premiere desktop. The app stays free, but upgrades will offer extra generative credits and storage.
Premiere mobile on Android is live now on the Google Play Store. It requires Android 13 or later and at least 5GB of RAM.
