FUJIFILM India has officially unveiled the FUJIFILM House of Photography, marking the company’s first immersive photography destination in India and its eleventh globally. The launch coincides with World Photography Day, celebrated on August 19, and marks a significant year commemorating 200 years since the invention of photography.
Located in Andheri West, Mumbai, the newly opened facility spans two stories and covers 5,795 square feet, bringing Fujifilm’s complete imaging ecosystem together in one place. Designed for a wide range of users, from amateur photographers to professional filmmakers, the space features hands-on experiences to inspire creativity, exploration, and collaboration.
Mr. Yujiro Igarashi, General Manager of the Imaging Business Division, expressed the vision for the launch, stating, “Through FUJIFILM House of Photography, we aim to create spaces that extend beyond product showcases to promote creativity, learning, and community engagement. India is a dynamic market for creativity, and we are pleased to introduce this concept as part of our long-term commitment to supporting the nation’s evolving imaging goals.”
The establishment reflects FUJIFILM’s dedication to nurturing India’s growing photography culture, offering an end-to-end experience that ranges from learning and inspiration to creation and output. With Mumbai’s rich photographic community, the city serves as a fitting location for this innovative space.
Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director of FUJIFILM India, remarked, “We are excited to bring FUJIFILM House of Photography to India, creating a venue dedicated to photographers, creators, and visual storytellers from all backgrounds. Our mission is to enrich lives through experiences, and we hope this facility will be a welcoming place for creativity, memory preservation, and storytelling.”

The centre is designed to give visitors a comprehensive imaging experience. It showcases Fujifilm’s popular instax, X Series, and GFX System cameras through guided hands-on sessions, along with designated areas for QuickSnap™ single-use cameras and binoculars.
Notably, for the first time in India, FUJIFILM will present its “Z Series” projectors in a dedicated experience zone. Guests can also explore Fujifilm’s premium printing solutions and learn how digital images can be transformed into physical keepsakes. The centre’s architectural design pays homage to India’s rich heritage, merging traditional elements with Art Deco style to create an immersive environment.

Mr. Arun Babu, Associate Director of the Imaging Solutions Division at FUJIFILM India, highlighted the initiative’s purpose, mentioning that the House of Photography aims to inspire creativity and foster a community among photographers and creators. He emphasized the vision of creating a space for individuals at all skill levels to connect and refine their craft, supporting a flourishing ecosystem that celebrates visual storytelling.
The facility’s ground floor is dedicated to hands-on product demonstrations, featuring various camera systems and a live Instax print bar. The first floor serves as a creative hub, including a curated photo gallery, a fully equipped creator studio, a workshop area, and a Pro Print Centre, all designed to facilitate learning and collaboration.
Beyond showcasing Fujifilm’s imaging technologies, the House of Photography plans to host workshops, exhibitions, creator meet-ups, and photo walks, fostering collaboration among visual storytellers at every stage of their creative journeys. Visitors, whether new to photography or seasoned professionals, will find an inviting environment to explore and create meaningful moments.
