Garmin has launched the Instinct 3 Series in India, marking a new development in rugged smartwatch technology. Aimed at outdoor enthusiasts, fitness fans, and adventure seekers, this series brings together a range of features designed for challenging environments.
Rugged Design and Durability
The Instinct 3 Series includes a metal-reinforced bezel, a fiber-reinforced polymer case, and a scratch-resistant display. It meets MIL-STD 810 standards for thermal, shock, and water resistance, making it capable of withstanding depths of up to 100 meters. Notably, the series introduces an AMOLED display, which provides vibrant visuals for better user experience.
Key Features of the Instinct 3 Series:
- Display Options: Users can choose between an AMOLED display, which offers battery life up to 24 days, or a solar-powered option that can provide unlimited battery life under optimal sunlight conditions.
- Integrated LED Flashlight: The built-in LED flashlight features variable intensities, a red light, and a strobe mode, catering to various lighting needs during outdoor activities.
- Advanced Navigation with GPS: The smartwatch is equipped with multi-band GPS and SatIQ technology for accurate navigation. Additionally, it includes ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer, compass) and TracBack® routing for efficient route tracking.
- Smart Connectivity and Safety Features: The Instinct 3 provides smart notifications and Garmin Messenger for two-way messaging. Safety features such as LiveTrack, incident detection, and assistance alerts are included to enhance user safety during activities.
Health and Fitness Tracking
The Instinct 3 Series retains health monitoring features from its predecessor, the Instinct 2. It offers heart rate tracking, a Pulse Ox sensor, sleep insights, stress tracking, and women’s health tracking. A selection of sports and fitness modes—including hiking, running, swimming, cycling, and strength training—are preloaded, along with on-screen animated workout suggestions and personalized daily workout recommendations via Garmin Coach.
Design and Options
The Instinct 3 Series is available in two sizes (45mm and 50mm) and comes in various color options, including Black, Black/Charcoal, and limited-edition shades like Neotropic and Neotropic/Twilight.

The Instinct E starts at ₹35,990, while the standard Instinct 3 is priced from ₹46,990. Both models are currently available for purchase through the Garmin India website and select retail locations across the country.
