Redmi has officially confirmed the India launch date of its upcoming Android tablet, the Redmi Pad 2. In addition to confirming the date, the company also revealed the design and colour options of the tablet. Going by the images, the new tablet seems to closely resemble the global 4G model. The Indian variant is likely to come with AI-enriched features and provide support for a stylus. The Redmi Pad 2 will have an expanded display and increased battery size from that of the first Redmi Pad.
Redmi Pad 2 India Launch
The Redmi Pad 2 will be available in India on June 18, the company has officially announced in an X post. A label on the promo poster indicates that the tablet will have Wi-Fi as well as cellular connectivity support. If it has 4G or 5G support is not yet known.
The live Flipkart and Amazon microsites for the Redmi Pad 2 indicate that it will go on sale in the country through these online stores along with the official e-store. The Xiaomi tablet landing page also gives a cue about the tablet’s compatibility for a stylus. It has been teased to be compatible with AI features such as Google’s Circle to Search. The tablet is expected to arrive with a bigger screen size, a larger battery, and enhanced performance compared to the Redmi Pad.

Design and Color Options
The design of the Indian version of the Redmi Pad 2 seems to be exactly similar to the global 4G variant. It is seen in a dual-tone finish in blue and grey colorways.

At the same time, the international 4G version of the Redmi Pad 2 is known to feature a MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor. The tablet is fueled by a 9,000mAh battery that is said to provide as much as 19 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The Redmi Pad 2 4G international variant features an 11-inch 2.5K display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It houses a quad speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support. The metal unibody look is available in Graphite Grey and Mint Green colors. It comes with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box.
