Tecno Introduces the Pova 5 Series with Turbo Mecha Design

Tecno unveiled its latest smartphone, the Pova 5, marking the inaugural device in the esteemed Pova 5 series. This remarkable lineup includes the Pova 5 Pro and the Pova Neo 3. Additionally, in a collaborative effort with the renowned Garena-hosted battle royale game, Tecno introduced a limited Free Fire Special Edition of the Pova 5.

The Tecno Pova 5 showcases a cutting-edge design concept called Turbo Mecha, exuding an air of futurism reminiscent of colossal robotic mechas featured in popular science fiction works. Fueling the Tecno Pova 5 is a formidable 6,000mAh battery bolstered by 45W charging support. The accompanying charging brick enables the phone to achieve a 50% charge within a mere 21 minutes, while a complete charge can be attained in just 60 minutes.

The Pova 5 can even perform reverse charging of other devices via cable at speeds of up to 10W, provided there is sufficient remaining battery power. Furthermore, the battery of the Pova 5 benefits from the advanced Battery Lab 3.0 software, which enhances endurance, and the STS Secure Battery Technology, ensuring an extended lifespan and providing users with a sense of tranquillity.

At the heart of the Tecno Pova 5 lies the powerful MediaTek 6nm Helio G99 processor and a generous 8GB of RAM. To ensure optimal thermal management, the phone boasts an expansive heat dissipation area of 10,749mm², comprising a 1399.65mm² vapour chamber and a 9349.39mm² graphene heat sink.

The display of the Tecno Pova 5 boasts an expansive 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080x2460px. Notably, it features a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, resulting in smooth and responsive interactions. The Pova 5 proudly flaunts a formidable 50MP rear camera, complemented by a depth sensor, while an impressive 8MP front camera captures stunning selfies. Additional notable features include a z-axis linear vibration motor and dual speakers with DTS Sound.

The Pova Neo 3, on the other hand, offers a larger 6.82-inch display; however, its resolution is slightly lower at 720x1640px. Its most prominent feature is its mammoth 7,000mAh battery. Powering the Pova Neo 3 is the 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 processor, available in either 4GB or 8GB RAM configurations, alongside 128GB of storage.

Tecno plans to make the Pova 5 available in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, offering customers a choice of three stylish colours: Hurricane Blue, Amber Gold, and Mecha Black. Pricing details for each specific market will be disclosed soon.
