Google has allegedly set the date for its 2025 “Made by Google” event on August 13, where it is likely to unveil the Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4. According to a report by 9To5Google, the tech giant is expected to follow last year’s early release strategy—launching the Pixel 10 lineup in mid-August, with deliveries expected to start around August 20.
Google had advanced the launch timeline in 2024, moving from October to August for the Pixel 9 series. The latest information suggests that Google is continuing this early launch cycle in 2025.
This development follows reports that Google is planning to hold a pre-launch event in the UK for the Pixel 10 series. As per 9To5Google, the company will host an exclusive 90-minute preview event in London on June 27, where 25 selected “super fans” will get a first look at both the Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4.
Google Pixel 10 Series: What to Expect
The Pixel 10 lineup is expected to include:
- Pixel 10
- Pixel 10 Pro
- Pixel 10 Pro XL
- Pixel 10 Pro Fold
While the design will reportedly remain similar to the Pixel 9 series with minor refinements, significant upgrades are expected under the hood.
New Tensor G5 Chip
The Pixel 10 series will likely be powered by the Tensor G5 chip, a major leap from previous generations. Unlike earlier chips manufactured by Samsung, the G5 is rumored to be made by TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company).
Built on TSMC’s 3nm process, the Tensor G5 is expected to offer:
- Improved performance
- Greater power efficiency
- Better thermal management
Camera Updates
The Pixel 10 may feature new camera hardware, possibly adopting the same primary and ultra-wide sensors as the Pixel 9a—a potential downgrade from the Pixel 9. However, it could compensate by introducing a telephoto lens, such as the 5x periscope zoom from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Meanwhile:
- The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL are expected to retain their current camera systems.
- The Pixel 10 Pro Fold might also adopt the Pixel 9a’s main sensor, replacing its earlier high-resolution setup.
Android 16 and Material 3 Expressive
The Pixel 10 series is expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box. Introduced during Google I/O, Android 16 brings a major visual upgrade via the new Material 3 Expressive design language.
Key features of Android 16 include:
- Spring-like animation effects
- Enhanced typography
- Dynamic color theming
- Live notifications
- Custom theme packs for Pixel devices
Final Thoughts
With the rumored August 13 launch, the Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4 could mark a significant step forward for Google in both hardware and software. The integration of TSMC’s Tensor G5 chip, potential camera shifts, and the debut of Android 16 point to a compelling lineup that blends performance, design, and next-gen features.
