Google is making its AI-driven video generation model, Veo 3, more widely available to Google AI Pro subscribers. While initially available to users of the Ultra plan, Veo 3 can now be accessed through Flow Google’s AI filmmaking platform and the Gemini mobile app.

The model, announced at Google I/O last month, has native audio generation that aligns with visuals and enables Pro users to produce more engaging video content.

Expanded Access for Google AI Pro Subscribers

Google said that in the areas where the Ultra Plan is available, AI Pro subscribers will now receive:

    • Limited access to Veo 3 in Flow
    • A trial video generation 10-pack in the Gemini app

Ultra subscribers, on the other hand, will still benefit from increased generation limits. Users will receive notifications when they reach their usage limit, including the number of generations left.

    India Launch Incoming?

Although Veo 3 access is officially restricted to countries where the Ultra Plan is offered and India is not yet on that list as some users in India are starting to notice the Veo 3 option in the Gemini app.

This indicates that an official launch in India could be imminent.

Google Veo 3 in Gemini App: How to Create Videos

To generate videos using Veo 3 in the Gemini mobile app, follow these steps:

    1. Launch the Gemini mobile app on your phone.
    2. Make sure you have an active Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
    3. In the text box, enter a prompt describing the video you’d like to create.
    4. Tap More > Video > Submit below the text box.

    Note:
Videos created through Veo 3 in the Gemini app are 8 seconds long and include audio.
    To download the video:

    • Tap on the video
    • Then tap Download

    Google Veo 3: What’s New?

Veo 3, Google’s newest video creation model, was announced at last month’s I/O conference.
It improves on earlier models with:

    • The capacity to generate realistic visuals from text prompts
    • The ability to generate corresponding audio, including ambient sounds and character dialogue

“Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing. It’s great at understanding; you can tell a short story in your prompt, and the model gives you back a clip that brings it to life,” Google said in a blog post.

Veo 3 and Google Flow: AI-Powered Video Editing

Veo 3 also powers Flow, Google’s AI video editing platform, which allows paid members to:

    • Create 1080p resolution videos
    • Use advanced camera features
    • Add transitions to existing clips

    Conclusion

With the release of Veo 3 to a broader base of Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, Google is taking a significant step in democratizing AI video generation. The ability to create 8-second clips with synchronized audio directly from text prompts makes the process faster, more creative, and more accessible for content creators, marketers, and storytellers.

As access expands potentially to regions like India and tools like Flow continue to evolve, Google is positioning itself as a strong player in the future of AI-powered filmmaking. Whether you’re experimenting with the Gemini app or using Flow for more polished outputs, Veo 3 offers an exciting new way to bring your creative visions to life.
