What if an entire film production could be brought together in a fraction of the time, with AI assisting everything from writing and direction to cinematography and editing? That was the idea behind SPARK, India’s AI Creativity Summit, hosted by VerSe Innovation on October 28, 2026, at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt, with Google Cloud as its Title Partner. The invitation-only event brought together over 500 filmmakers, studio heads, broadcasters, brand and agency leaders, and creators. Among the prominent attendees were Rajkumar Hirani, Shakun Batra, Kunal Kapoor, Zack London, Raj Nayak, Roopak Saluja and Dr. Vishal Chaturvedi.
At the center of the summit was Spark Station, VerSe Innovation’s AI content-generating platform. Following its beta debut at Film Expo 2026, where Just One Small Change went from an idea to a final render in three hours, the platform showcased workflows designed to bring multiple stages of production together. One of the key highlights was Hybrid Filmmaking, which combines real actors and creators with AI-generated locations, sets, crowds, props and camera movements. Another was Spark’s AI film crew, where agents handling Direction, Writing, Art, Camera, Sound and Editing work together to create a film based on user instructions.

The Story to Video Pro workflow takes creators from story and script to characters, locations, storyboards, scenes, shots and final editing. Projects can be edited through Spark’s AI Video Editor or exported to Final Cut Pro, Avid, Resolve or Premiere. Spark Station also showcased end-to-end advertising workflows, Micro Drama creation, Depth Map, Performance Capture and Mimic Studio. Its Prompt Intelligence feature improves prompts with user consent, while the Comics Generator converts stories, scripts or YouTube videos into editable comics.
The platform’s six differentiators include character continuity, quality checks before rendering, a continuous production pipeline, model orchestration, creator-focused workflows and shot-level budget estimates before rendering. The summit featured keynotes by Rajkumar Hirani, Shakun Batra, Kunal Kapoor and Varun Mayya. Speaking at the event, Umang Bedi, Founder and CEO of VerSe Innovation, said, “For a hundred years, the camera decided what was possible. From tonight, the imagination does.”
Rajkumar Hirani added, “The budget decided who got to dream on screen. With AI, the only limit is how big you dare to imagine.”Google Cloud’s Managing Director, India, Amit Kumar, highlighted Spark Station’s use of generative media models such as Gemini, Omni and Veo. With SPARK, VerSe Innovation is positioning AI as more than a content-generation tool, bringing multiple stages of creative production into one connected workflow.
