Lava has announced that its newly launched Virat smartphone series sold out on Flipkart on the very first day of sale, with both the Lava Virat V1 5G and Lava Virat V1 going out of stock shortly after sales commenced at 12 PM IST on July 31. According to the company, it marks the fastest Day 1 stockout for the Virat lineup, reflecting strong consumer demand for affordable smartphones offering clean software and dependable hardware.
The Lava Virat V1 5G is aimed at young, digital-first consumers and features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 6,000mAh battery, and the UNISOC T8200 processor. The device comes with 4GB RAM, expandable by an additional 4GB of virtual RAM, 64GB of onboard storage expandable up to 1TB, a 13MP AI dual rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and runs Android 16 without ads or pre-installed bloatware. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.

The more affordable Lava Virat V1 features a 6.75-inch HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, and is powered by the UNISOC SC9863A processor. It offers 4GB RAM with virtual RAM expansion, 64GB storage expandable up to 256GB, a 13MP AI dual rear camera, and the same clean Android experience with IP64 protection.
Lava said it is working with Flipkart to replenish stocks at the earliest, allowing customers who missed the initial sale to purchase the devices in the coming days. The company attributed the strong response to increasing demand for budget smartphones that combine reliable performance, stock Android, and durable build quality.
