MediaTek has introduced two new chipsets, the Dimensity 9500s and Dimensity 8500, during the MediaTek Tech Day event held in Delhi. These chipsets are designed to support a wide range of connected devices, with nearly 2 billion units powered each year.
At the event, OPPO announced the launch of the Find X9s smartphone in India, which the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s will power. This new addition will enhance the existing Find X9 series, which has already garnered multiple industry awards for its flagship Find X9 Pro model.
Goldee Patnaik, Head of Communications at OPPO India, stated, “Building on the success of the Find X9 series powered by Dimensity 9500, OPPO will soon introduce the Find X9s in India. Both the Dimensity 9500s and 8500 are positioned to lead in the flagship and premium smartphone market segments, focusing on performance, efficiency, AI capabilities, imaging, gaming, and wireless connectivity. They use an “All-Big Core” architecture and advanced Agentic AI capabilities.

The Dimensity 9500s is built on a state-of-the-art 3nm process, featuring an All-Big Core architecture that promises significant performance and energy efficiency. Highlights include:
- An octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X925 ultra core operating up to 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 premium cores, and four Cortex-A720 performance cores.
- The Immortalis-G925 GPU for advanced mobile gaming, including real-time ray tracing support.
- Enhanced neural processing unit (NPU) capabilities for generative reasoning and improved edge camera features.
- 8K full-focus Dolby Vision HDR recording with real-time 30fps motion tracking via MediaTek’s Imagiq ISP.
- Adaptive game technology (MAGT 3.0) and frame technology (MFRC 3.0) to optimize energy efficiency and extend battery life.
- A 5G Release-17 modem with support for 4CC-CA and up to 7Gbps downlink speeds.
